This literature review summarizes a beginning and development of environmental activities and then an issue of environmental behavior of companies. It describes how companies can minimize eventual negative impacts of their work on environment using voluntary environmental activities and properly working environmental management. The next goal of the work is an assessment of one specific voluntary environmental activity, which is a project called "Green Company". This one is specialized in waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and batteries. Nevertheless projects like this one can raise an interest of employees for environment, enhance their awareness and also help company to gain international certification like ISO 14001. Sustainability Report in Company

Thesis deals with the reporting of sustainability development and its mode of administration of regular reports. The first section contains information ofsustainability development and a summary of the approach of the UN and the EU to sustainability development, which influenced business attitudes to the disclosure of periodic results using standardized reporting of sustainability. The second part analysis the situation of companies in the administration report brewing on sustainability and social responsibility. The aim is to develop recommendations for the creation of reports on sustainable development and social responsibility on the basis of previous analyzes and evaluation of their development.

This bachelor's thesis deals with different instruments of protecting the enviro-ment and their mutual relationship. It also describes the contribution of the implementa-tion of these instruments in the Czech Republic. Part of the thesis is focused on analysis of chosen instrument and on evaluation of its contribution to the construction company.

The Implications and Impacts of Introducing an EMS in Big Industrial Enterprises

The teoretic part of the document is about sustainable development, its reasons and history, about instruments of measuration and achievement. Next there is described the Environmental Management System, its extensiveness, requirements, benefits for company and the standards of EMS. In the document are described the differences between certification according to ISO 14000 or EMAS. Costs according to the etaps and posibility to financial subventions are analyzed in this document too. The next part is research-based tail, based on list of question to Czech companies, in which EMS is implemented. The research was pointed to prove the declared benefits for companies, experiences with EMS and general attitude of companies to this issue. In the end of the document there are comments, results of research and knowledge, which was observed during the research.

The Study of the benefits of the implemented Environmental Management System in the concrete organisations

The main goal of the diploma thesis is to specify the main benefits of the implementation of the Enviromental Management System and to find out other information about the already implemented EMS. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part is clarified the term Environmental Management System, its history and standards for the EMS. In the practical part the questionary is presented as the method of the obtaining data from the concrete organisations. At the same time the answers of the respondents are analysed. The end of the thesis also includes the comparison of the study with the analoguous studies from the past.

Bakalářská práce popisuje hlavní dobrovolné nástroje environmentální politiky. Zabývá se zejména porovnáním systémů environmentálního managementu - EMAS a ISO 14 001. Popisuje jejich výhody a nevýhody, proces zavádění, porovnává počet podniků s implementovaným EMAS a ISO 14 001 v České republice i v rámci zemí Evropské Unie. Dále se práce zabývá možnostmi financování environmentálních manažerských systémů a současnými trendy.
