Automobiles of the eighties and nineties
Holuša, David ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This Bachelor Thesis describes events, which led to automotive industry development in eighties and nineties of the twentieth century, further it focuses on situation in industry on each continent and on the most influential car factories, briefly describes the biggest inventions of the time and their principles and function from the technological side of view and considers implementation in modern cars.
Seal Plugs Design for Common-Rail System Pressure Reservoir High-Cyclic Fatigue Testing
Development of Laser Welded Common Rail with Radial Connected Pressure Sensor (RPS)
Šantavý, Ivo ; Skrutek, Ivo (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This dissertation deals with a development of a laser welded common rail with a radially attached RPS sensor of pressure. The new concept required by Bosch Diesel s.r.o. Jihlava should be more modifiable and it should be easily integrated with the engine compartment. In this dissertation I suggested a number of concepts that I further analysed, verified in appropriate software, developed, and finally narrowed the selection down to the most suitable solution, which is recommended and justified in the conclusion.
Engine Control Units for 6-cylinder Diesel Engines
Florek, Matej ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This thesis is focused on diesel combustion engines, their history and technical development. It describes the working principle of 4-stroke process and components of the engine. After that, it brings the overwiev of the fuel injecton systems development and the types that are used nowadays. Then it comes to electronic control unit, its significance and role in fuel injection process. The last part indicate a couple of commercial electronic control units which are currently used for managing 6-cylinder diesel engines.
The High Pressure Fuel System for CI-engine
Strouhal, Pavel ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on examining the development of a diesel tractor engine with a newer injection system, concretely common-rail system. Mainly it is about the application of the high pressure fuel pump, fuel rail and injectors. With regard to the used components are appropriate adjustments made on the engine, and then checked using the available calculations. Brief mention is given to the theoretical summary of the contemporary state of applied injection system and its development trend. Selecting adjustments is primarily based on observed operating load. However, it is also striving to their simplest implementation. An integral part of this work is drawing documentation of newly designed components.
Design and Analysis of IC Engine Piston
Slezák, Martin ; Ambróz, Richard (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the numerical analysis state of stress diesel engine piston. Based on results of performed analyses a new pistons designed with a focus on mass reduction and consequently individual structural designs are compared with present piston.
Remotorization of the aircraft EV-55 Outback
Puller, Tomáš ; Weis, Martin (referee) ; Horák, Marek (advisor)
Thesis Remotorization of the aircraft EV-55 Outback deals with possibility of installationt piston diesel engine instead of turboprop engine PT6A-21. Begining of this thesis deals with choice of convenient engine and propeller. Then, 3D model of engine bed is designed, followed by mass analysis. Based on results from the mass analysis and requirements from the CS - 23 regulation, load is specified and stress analysis is done. The other part of this thesis deals with adjustment of the airframe and with calculation of flight performances. Finally, economic indices are specified.
Design and optimization of injector bracket
Moravec, Tomáš ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Řehák, Kamil (advisor)
The present Master thesis entitled "Engineering Design and Optimization of Injector Holder" deals with the design of clamping holder, whose function is to ensure the exact position of injector system Common Rail. The shape of the injector holder is designed in the modelling program, both with respect to the installation space of internal combustion engine and also the method of manufacture. The proposed geometry is then subjected to stress analysis in the program using FEM. The final design phase is to optimize the geometry of the injector holder using the same method with the aim to reduce the weight of the component.
Engines of Octavia vehicles
Malchárek, Miroslav ; Vopařil, Jan (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with popular car Škoda Octavia and combustion engines used in it. Thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with a development of Škoda Octavia car. The second chapter approaches diesel engines used. The third chapter treats of commonly used combustion engines.
Injection System with Pressure Accumulator for Commercial Powertrain Units
Suchánek, David ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The present work deals with a common-rail fuel injection system for powertrain applications. As part of the solution of the thesis, a comprehensive analysis of the injection system has been carried out with an indication of the principle and function of the necessary components, including demonstrations on specific vehicles and an outline of future developments. The injection system can be divided into 3 parts: low pressure, high pressure and control. The low-pressure section describes the fuel filter and feed pump. Within the high-pressure part, the components which are the injector, the high-pressure pump and the fuel rail are given in context. The control section then presents the control unit, sensors and actuators necessary to control the pressure and quantity of fuel. In order to give a comprehensive overview of the common-rail fuel injection system, the common-rail system parameters were measured and evaluated on a specific power unit using diagnostic equipment. The measurements verified the maximum pressure declared by the vehicle manufacturer, while showing the fuel pressure waveform in the fuel rail in different engine operating modes. style.
