Organic food is a food product that is obtained from organic products and a limited amount of authorized additives defined technological process according to special regulation and the control regimen. Regional foods are due to short transport distances much fresher than food that has circulated for a long time. Regional foods tend therefore usually taste better and more valuable nutritional properties. Equally important is the fact that the closer the food to the consumer, the less loaded environment during transportation. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the structure offers regional food and organic food producers to seek their districts Prachatice, and Strakonice Czech Budejovice. When evaluating the questionnaires, it was found that two-thirds of respondents regularly buy organic or regional food. Most often it is bought at a store in a specialized department.Most of the respondents to pay extra for regional food for a month for her to spend in the range of 200 to 500 CZK.
Development of offer and prices of organic food

The aim of the thesis is "Development of offer and prices of organic food". Organic farming and its development in Czech Republic, legislation, control mechanisms in organic farming are described in theoretical part, including market discription with organic food in Czech Republic and Europe. Second part describes customer questionnaire survey in model shop. Than was performed a control purchase. The last part is the analysis of price developments and price comparison of organic and conventional nutritive.
Organic food in current retailing

The main goal of my diploma thesis is to analyze the offers of organic food in chosen retail chains operating in the Czech market. At the beginning there are defined retail and retailing and there is briefly outlined the development of retail in the Czech Republic. In the second chapter there is introduced organic farming, its definition, goals and its current position in the world and in the Czech Republic. In this chapter is defined what is organic food, how is organic food labeled and which organizations do this business in the Czech Republic. The third chapter analyses the situation in the organic food market in the Czech Republic and there are introduced certain marketing activities and projects to promote organic food. The next chapter analyses the current retail net in the Czech Republic and in the following chapter there are introduced the retail chains chosen for the analysis of their assortment of organic food. The last chapter deals with analysis of assortment of organic food in chosen retail chains.
Comparison of Perception and Attitudes of Organic Food among Generations

The thesis deals with organic food products and its perception among cunsumers of different age. The main goal of the thesis is to prove that consumers of different age percieve organic food differently. First chapter describes principles of organic farming, its development in Europe and in Czech Republic, current situation of organic farming in the Czech Republic and legislation. Second chapter deals with typical czech consumer and the third one desribes methodology of research, that has been done. Fourth chapter analyses results of the research.
Role of permaculture in sustainable living

Mankind's relationship to the Material World is the defining and initial relationship when examining the evolution of sustainable development.Generally, mankind is intensely concerned with the environmental issues since the sixties of the last century, mainly because of the serious environmental changes which began to appear at that time. Permaculture, which is one of the alternative concepts, was originally created as a system of agricultural production and later extended to the different aspects of life: - cultural, economic and social.This work consists of several parts: in Pt. 1, I have analysed and summarized the project of the Forest Garden and the permacultural practices proposed in my Bachelor's thesis from the year 2011. Part 2 describes my application of recommended permacultural planting methods on selected crops, and the pros and cons of each procedure have been evaluated. In the Final part, I have followed traditional technological procedures and have elaborated the selected basic sorts of processed food.
Structure of bioproduction market in South Bohemia

The intention of the diploma work was the choice of main sorts of bioproduction, charting of the structure of bioproduction in light of origin and detection of sold volume of chosen bio ? food stuff in the South Bohemia. The method - monitoring of the sale in terrain was chosen for charting of the structure of bioproduction. The bioproduction was found out in two types of markets ?markets and markets which are specialized for bio ? food stuff. In the South Bohemia there was chosen 15 markets and 15 markets which are specialized for bio ? food stuff. The structure of bio ? food stuff in light of origin (Czech/import) and in light of volume of sold production was found out in each market. The target bio ? food stuff were beef, grain, dairy products and fruit and vegetable. The data were found out from the packets of bio ? food stuff or through the interview with the chief of the market.
Conversion of family farm on organic farming system

The thesis is focused on the evaluation of current situation of farming and making a plan for a transition of Angus farm to an organic way of farming in plant and stock farming. During the period of conversion that takes 2 years for arable land, meadows and grazing the farmimg has to be in compliance with the law No. 344/2011 about organic farming. The theoretical part contains basic information about organic farming history in the Czech Republic, basic concept specification such as organic farming, ecofarm, organic product, organic food. The other information deal with the main goals of organic farming, legislation, check, certification and last but not least the subsidy of organic farming. The second part of the thesis analyses the current situation of the farm where the plant farming structure, stock farming structure, used machinery and agrotechnological operation, staffing, balance of nutrients, balance of forage, chemical means using, and SWOT analysis of the current situation are described. In the final part of the thesis there is offerred the structure of plant and stock farming for the conversion where balance of nutrients, balance of forage, staffing, operation modernization, introducing the agritourism, economic evaluation and SWOT analysis of the current situation after the conversion are described.
