Návrh optimálního managementu za účelem zvýšení podílu populace jedle bělokoré v přírodní rezervaci Tesák s využitím růstového simulátoru
Kudláček, Martin
Main objective of this thesis was searching for optimal management in natural reservation Tesák, which should lead to preservation, eventually increasing and stabilization of silver fir's local population in the future. For these purposes there was carried out field mapping using Field-Map technology, which was targeted to most unsatisfactory part - segment B (from current conditions point of view). Information base for growth simulator Sibyla was formed by field investigation data. It was created and evaluated four alternative management scenarios. Best option was chosen based on their results. After 50. years of management, values of the variables were best with scenarios 4 and 3. These scenarios represented thrifty restoration interventions in spruce part of segment, fencing of insolated parts and underplanting with targeted tree species. A positive result was based mainly on silver fir appearance and its living specimen numbers in the area. At the same time there would be decline in the numbers of spruce - below 10 %, which would make possibility to classify segment B as naturalness degree III - close to nature.

Importance of forest continuity and fragmentation according to beetles as an indicating taxonomic group
Loskotová, Tereza ; Treml, Václav (referee) ; Romportl, Dušan (advisor)
Importance of forest continuity and fragmentation according to beetles as an indicating taxonomic group Abstract Old-growth forests can provide suitable habitats for certain organisms which can't live in another type of environment. These organisms can be used as bioindicators of old-growth forests. Spatial organization of forests affects spatial distribution and population abundance of these organisms. Fragmentation process can negatively influence populations of forest organisms. In particular, the aim of this work was to locate areas with forest continuity within the area of interest and to characterize their spatial arrangement. Long-term continuity of forests was identified using historical maps. Spatial distribution of forests is not equal. In the northern and north-eastern part of the area, there is a large forest complex while in the southern and south-western part of the area, there is lot of forest fragments with surrounding of agriculture fields. Next target was to select beetle group with potential bioindicators of forest continuity. Many beetle species live in forests and the group fulfills requirements for indicating groups. Saproxylic beetles were chosen as a crucial group for a subsequent study. Keywords: continuity, fragmentation, indicator, landscape structure, beetles

International terrorism and human rights
Dutkevičová, Lenka ; Šturma, Pavel (advisor) ; Bílková, Veronika (referee)
145 International Terrorism and Human Rights Terrorism has posed a threat to humans, and their lives and rights for centuries; however, it started gaining attention in the 19th century, as it became quite a widespread means of reaching political goals first of anarchists and later other groups. Every generation has claimed 'their terrorism' to be a completely new sort of terrorism never seen before, but all this has been more about perception rather than real change of the situation. One such new era allegedly started with the terrorist attacks on the WTA and the Pentagon in the USA on 11 September 2001. It is arguable whether that terrorism is a new one, but the response was definitely harsher than before, because this time reaction to one event engulfed the whole world. The attack was certainly bigger than usual, that much must be admitted, and it targeted symbols of a nation that had been endangered on its soil in such a way just once before, a superpower whose vulnerability was suddenly revealed. The people all around the world got scared and politicians reached to strong means of fighting the threat and protecting their people, sometimes restoring to controversial or blatantly unlawful ways, occasionally clearly exploiting the situation. International law - general, humanitarian, criminal and mainly...

Along with the summarization and evaluation of the literature, we analyze English journal articles about the problems of university students with specific learning difficulties gained from bibliographic search. The goal is to describe the level of research in this area. In the practical part of my work, mixed methods were used to gain quantitative and qualitative data. A semi-structured questionnaire targeted for university students with SLD was used to find out about respondents' experience with university study, the biggest problems with the study, how they solve them and what influence specific learning difficulties have on different areas of individuals' lives. The questionnaire research was held in Scotland and the Czech Republic. Family policy in France
Jindrová, Eliška ; Krebs, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Stočková, Olga (referee)
The graduation thesis concerns the system of family support in France whose position among other national family policies is exceptional, as are the positive natality results. Historical development of French family policy has got considerably deep roots and its functioning has practically not changed since the World War Two. French system relies on a few specific features of which can be mentioned the family allowances awarded to families with two children in minimum independently of family earnings, preference of three-children family model, important role of tax-based instruments and organised representation of family interests. Also specialized help destined to incomplete families and populous families can not be forgotten. Because of the existence of the other ways of support the total financial expenditures in favour of families can not be reduced only to direct support represented by family grants which is often represented in international statistics. Another related problem is the living conditions of families with children, which is in general lower. In France thanks to all the assistance the living conditions get more favorable whereas the families with three and more children being the most advantaged. The system of French family policy can be compared with the Czech system. Situation in the Czech Republic is different especially as regards the magnitude of direct aid which was the main method of family support and targeted the poorest families. But by means of reforms and recently proposed measures the situation has been changing and the possible access to certain attributes of French system can be observed.
