Determination of Selected Active Substance in the Preparation IX
Shkodra, Maltina ; Kastner, Petr (advisor) ; Kučera, Radim (referee)
Aim. The purpose of this work was to develop a new method for determination of impurity content in Bromhexine Hydrochloride (BHX HCl) active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) using an Ultra High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC), in favor of shortening the analysis time and sparing the usage of large volumes of mobile phase while preserving a reliable chromatographic performance. In addition, the newly developed method had to be validated to ensure its suitability of use. Methods. Two approaches were used to optimize the chromatographic conditions: 1.Adaption of different column temperatures (from 25-40řC) at flow rate 0.35 mL/min; 2.Adaption of different flow rates (from 0.35-0.6 mL/min) at 40řC column temperature. Injection volume was the same in both cases-1.6μL. Optimization of chromatographic conditions was based on the resolution between BHX HCl and Impurity C, the peak symmetry and column backpressure limit. The tests employed to validate the method were: linearity, limit of detection, limit of quantification, precision, accuracy and selectivity of analytical procedure. Results. The most optimal combination of chromatographic conditions was a flow rate of 0.5 mL/min at column temperature of 40řC. During method validation, linearity test showed a high correlation factor (R2 =0.998)...

Nursing care of patients with burn trauma.
HAVELKOVÁ, Martina
Burn trauma is very stressing for patients physically due to the high level of pain, damage to the skin and risk of infection, and also from a psycho-social perspective. There are currently several facilities dedicated to burn therapy. These are staffed by quality personnel with a high level of experience, who increase the hopes of patients to achieve better living conditions. Therapy depends on the extent of the handicap as well as other factors affecting the individual. Extensive burns require treatment in specialized facilities, where the patient is subject to a demanding and long-term therapy. Such patients are subject to multiple surgical procedures in total anaesthesia. The burn trauma has many complications during the healing process. The physician together with the nurse care for the patient and play a crucial role in this process. The patient will is subject to a long-term rehabilitation and complicated reintegration into society. We carried out a quantitative examination by means of 65 questionnaires handed out to general nurses, of which 58 could be used. The objectives of the thesis were met. We defined five hypotheses: H1: Nurses observe the principles of care for patients with burn trauma. H2: Nurses are aware of the effectiveness of rehabilitation treatment when caring for clients with burn trauma. H3: It is easier for nurses to provide care to patients with burn trauma if the patient is lying on an air bed as opposed to a standard bed. H4: Nurses cooperate with a clinical psychologist when caring for a patient with burn trauma. H5: Nurses cooperate with a nutrition therapist when caring for a patient with burn trauma. All the hypotheses were confirmed except hypothesis H3, which was disconfirmed. The research examination showed that nurses adhere to the principles of hygienic care for patients with burn trauma, and that they are aware of the effectiveness of rehabilitation treatment in burn care. Care for patients on an air bed is not easier for nurses than on a standard bed. On the contrary, it is physically more demanding. It was further confirmed that nurses cooperate with a clinical psychologist as well as a nutrition therapist when caring for patients with burn trauma. The diploma thesis is elaborated in such a way so that it can be used to create and present a standard, which will help to improve care for patients with burn trauma.

Financial and business cycles in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe emerging markets
Kučerová, Martina ; Geršl, Adam (advisor) ; Žigraiová, Diana (referee)
This thesis analyzes development of financial and business cycles in CESEE region using the sample of 23 emerging economies over the period 1995q1- 2015q4. We report three main results. First, we identify more cases of financial cycles than business cycles. Financial cycles measured by house price ratio tend to last longer in comparison to credit cycles. Second, cross-correlation results detect high synchronization of business and financial cycles among economies. The concordance index indicate that business cycles and financial cycles are rather counter-cyclical as the index values are low in the most economies from our sample. Third, regression findings reveal that the indicators of economic activity are important in affecting the downturn duration of financial cycles. For the upturn phase are more relevant the financial development measures. Small signaling molecules in yeast
Putalová, Tereza ; Váchová, Libuše (advisor) ; Horníková, Lenka (referee)
Yeasts excrete metabolitesinto the environment some of which may have a signal function. The small signalling molecules include ammonia, alcohols, esters, acids and CO2 beside other molecules. These substances may be formed as waste products of metabolism, such as some alcohols in the catabolism of amino acids. After exclusion they influence other / surrounding cells by binding to receptors or they affect their target in the cell or may form a concentration gradient or a pH gradient. New findings show that using ammonia yeasts can communicate and may diversify within colonies. Farnesol, tyrosol and other molecules use the yeasts to quorum sensing. Yeasts also secrete aromatic esters and fatty acids. High concentrations of CO2 trigger switch from yeasts to hypha. This paper summarizes existing information on the occurrence and impact of selected molecules (ammonia, alcohols, esters, acids and CO2) signaling in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Candida albicans.

This work aims to create transport–urbanism study which will lead to the improvement of attractivity of the whole region, whether for permanent or migrant populations, converts the traffic so that the least interfere with visitors of the city center while retaining its good accessibility, supports the development of pedestrian and cycling routes in context of the surrounding area. Traffic-urban solution will work with the master plan of Ostrava city and also take into account results of performed architectural and urban design competitions of a city in the area of interest. Emphasis will be placed on an economically resonable solution with connection to the future development of the site, construction phasing and quick implementation.

Financial cycle and its indicators
Lešková, Michaela ; Blahová, Naděžda (advisor) ; Pour, Jiří (referee)
Subject of the diploma thesis is a broad analysis of financial cycles that are often behind other financial topics and their clear and precise understanding is still not sufficient, despite their high significance, and indeed a critical issue for financial stability. The paper will discuss indicators of financial cycles, we can ask ourselves how each financial cycles, meaning equity, credit and real estate prices, are synchronized with each other, but also toward the economic cycle, and what consequences this synchronization brings looking at different scenarios. The turning point in the boom phase is often triggered by the financial crisis, so we look if it is possible to predict these breaks in time. We discuss the recommended adaptations of policies to the financial cycle and in the final phase of diploma work will focus on the analysis of financial cycle in the Czech Republic.

Porovnání finančního cyclu v rozvinutých a rozvíjejících se trzích
Monteiro, Ornella Lassalette ; Klosová, Anna (advisor) ; Cabelo, Andrea (referee)
This dissertation argues that financial cycles are different for advanced economies and emerging countries. The main underlying reason is the different financial development that makes for instability in emeging markets which is pronounced by more intensive and amplified financial cycle. As such, even the policy implications are different.
