CONTRACTILE FUNCTIONS AND SYMPATHETIC INNERVATION OF THE ALBINO RAT DIABETIC HEART
Švíglerová, Jitka ; Pučelík, Pavel (advisor) ; Ošťádal, Bohuslav (referee) ; Pelouch, Václav (referee)
Contractile functions and sympathetic innervation of the albino rat diabetic heart Thesis Summary: The aim of this thesis was to describe: 1. The impact of untreated long-termed diabetes induced by streptozotocin on cardiac contractile functions and their sympathetic regulation in rat. 2. The effect of insulin on cardiac contraction in control and diabetic myocardium. In the diabetic group, the contraction force was significantly decreased compared to control group. The norepinephrine-releasing mechanisms were altered in chronically diabetic rats and may contribute to the decreased norepinephrine concentration in the diabetic heart. Insulin exerted a significant negative inotropic effect in rat myocardium, both control and diabetic. This effect was probably related to processes of SR Ca2+ release triggering, whereas SR Ca2+ loading is not involved. MUDr. Jitka Švíglerová Plzeň, 2006

Selected legal issues of international passenger transport
Vosátková, Karolina ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Pfeiffer, Magdalena (referee)
Selected legal issues of international passenger transport The topic of the diploma thesis is 'selected legal issues of international passenger transport'. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the issues of substantive law related to the liability of carriers and rights of passengers in the international rail, road and air transport. The thesis focuses on applicable legislation of liability of carriers and rights of passengers, but also deals with the legislation proposed pro futuro. The diploma thesis is divided into seven chapters, further divided into subchapters. In the introduction the thesis defines the term 'international passenger transport' and summarises its key legal sources. Further, it addresses the conflict of law rules applicable to the contract on international passenger transport. The core of the thesis is in the following chapters that deal with the direct substantive rules governing the liability of carriers and rights of passengers in individual types of transport, which are contained especially in multilateral international conventions and secondary legislation of the European Union. The conclusion of the thesis summarises and assesses the analysed legal issues in the researched legislation. The first, opening chapter contains the introduction to the topic of legislation related...

Analysis of the thermal load of the workpiece during the cutting grinding of high-strength bearing rings
Felgentreu, Sven ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)

Evaluation of protein variability among plant organs of Solanum tuberosum L.
ŠMÍDOVÁ, Michaela
The aim of the contritbution was to study potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) tuber protein concentration during growing season in dependence on actual ontogenesis stage of the potato plant. The changes in tuber protein concentration were studied on two potato cultivars - Adora (very early maturing) and Bionta (late maturing). The trial was established under field conditions on the site České Budějovice (380 m). Continuous ore sampling was aimed at following parameters evaluation: average tuber weight, dry matter concentration, crude protein concentration and protein concentration. Early maturing cultivar Adora showed rapid increasing of biomass from the start of ontogenesis and at the same time rapid decreasing of nitrogen compounds and pure protein concentration. The late maturing cultivar Bionta showed much more slow formation of biomass however the decreasing of nitrogen compounds and pure protein concentration was also recorded. Significant effect of ontogenesis stage on crude as well as pure protein concentration was evaluated. Significant effect on crude and pure protein concentration had also cultivar.

Tadeusz Kantor and The Theatre of Death
Veselá, Tereza ; Jiřík, Jan (advisor) ; Pšenička, Martin (referee)
Bachelor thesis is concerned with production of Polish avantgard author Tadeusz Kantor. The work is focused on the last epoch of his theatre production as an author (the epoch is called The Theatre of Death), concretely on inscenation The Dead Class and Wielopole, Wielopole. Bachelor thesis could be divided into three thematic parts. First part tries to observe basic historical terminuses in Tadeusz Kantor's work, previous epochs of theatre Cricot 2 and the most important performances. This part should serve to easier understanding methods of staging procedures during the epoch of The Theatre of Death and it should also approximate the questions, which interested Kantor. Second part is concerned with two concrete productions of The Theatre of Death and tries to analysis them. It also touches the issue of preservation theatre work through audiovisual records. Third part is focused on individual staging procedures. Bachelor thesis tries to define the point of Kantor's work on the basis of staging procedures. The point of Kantor's work is to create new form of theatre which do not manage with illusive staging of drama and with pretending of reality.

Comparison of the dynamic and static elasticity modules in damaged wood
Kloiber, Michal ; Kotlínová, M.
This work deals with evaluation of wood properties, that are obtained on the base of ultrasound testing with defectoscopic Arborsonic Decay Detector. Ultrasound waves expand with speed, that depends on wood quality. From time of stress wave propagation and wood density dynamic modulus of elasticity was calculated. The same test specimens were statically loaded afterwards, and dynamic and static modulus of elasticity were compared. These characteristics of wood according to damage by biotic factors change rapidly. This work proofs possibility of non-destructive wood properties by constructive-technical research of wood constructions.

Fyziologické důsledky iontově-koncentračních změn v tubulárním systému srdečních buněk
Pásek, Michal ; Christé, G. ; Šimurda, J.
Experimental data related to the tubular system of guinea pig and rat ventricular cell were summarized and incorporated into quantitative models of cellular activity. The results of simulations suggest that activity-dependent depletion of Ca2+ within the t-tubule lumen lowers the intracellular Ca load, intracellular Ca2+ transients and hence the inotropic status of ventricular myocytes.

Partial slip in liquids studied with high-frequency shear oscillations
Vlachová, Jana ; doc.Ing.Marian Lehocky, Ph.D. (referee) ; Johannsmann, Diethelm (advisor)

Thesis rises from an actual needs to make standard of practice for assessment an existing arch railway masonry bridges on the basis of condition long term monitoring. Bridge assessment is a part of any inspection, especially in case of doubts arising during inspections due to heavy defects, increase of axle load or increase of train frequency, which may influence the structural safety, traffic safety or durability of a bridge. There are possibilities for utilization of monitoring results for assessment in case of investigation data absece. An important option is assessment based on satisfactory past performance by ČSN ISO 13822, chapter 8.

Possibilities of precise determining of deformation and vertical deflection of structures using ground radar interferometry
Talich, Milan
The contactless determination of deformations and deflections of structures with accuracy up to 0.01 mm in real time can also be used in practice the technology of ground based radar interferometry. It is also possible in real time to capture oscillations of the object with a frequency up to 100 Hz. Deformations can be determine simultaneously in multiple places of the object, for example a bridge structure at points distributed on the bridge deck at intervals of one or more meters. This allows to obtain both overall and detailed information about the behavior of the structure during the dynamic loading. In addition to the necessary principles are given practical examples.
