The main topic of this bachelor thesis is a performance evaluation of a selected manufacturing company according to the model Start. First part deals with essential knowledge of the topic such as main definitions, models and evaluation methods. Follows the analysis including itroduction of the company, its situation, strenghts and weaknesses. I have prepared several suggestions grounded on the analysis that would provide improvements for the company and its development.

The master thesis is focused on performance evaluation of company Zemědělské družstvo Nové Město na Moravě. The first part contains theoretical foundations dealing with explanation basic theoretical terms and modern methods for performance measurement. The second part is practical, where the analysis company is introduced and after that the performance evaluation using of START Model is performed. The main output of master thesis is the last part, namely suggestions, where are presented measures and recommendations directed at the improvement performance of company.

The final part of the thesis includes suggestions for performance and current situation improvement.

This master´s thesis deals with Invia.cz, a.s. performance analysis. First part of the thesis contains basic theoretical knowledge, regarding methods of company performance measurement. Next part is focused on description of the studied company and then performance assessment of the chosen company using START Model based on EFQM Excellence Model is elaborated. Proposals for improvement of the current situation are suggested in the last chapter.

The aim of my work is to analyze at the same time established the quality management system according to ISO 9001. On the basis of evaluated propose the implementation of the introduction of modern management in the form of self-assessment of EFQM excelence Model as a way to find strengths and areas for improvement. The work includes comparison with both the quality management system based on ISO 9001 and based on the EFQM excelence Model.

The Use of Quality Management Systems for Self evaluation of Secondary Schools in the Central Bohemian Region

The final issue deals with the introduction of Quality Management Systems in Central Bohemian high schools. The theoretical part describes principles of the Quality Management and more closely presents ISO 9001 standard, EFQM Excellence Model, CAF Model and CQAF Model. The research part determines opinion of school headmasters in Decree No 15/2005 Coll., that specifies requirements for the obligatory self-evaluation of schools. In next chapters through a survey and an analysis of school web pages is examined practice of Quality Management Systems implementation in high schools in Central Bohemia -- current status, awareness of head masters, demand and expectations. The last chapter offers a definite experience with the introduction of Quality Management Systems through additional interviews with school headmasters.

EFQM Model Excellence and possibilities of its use in a concrete company

In the theoretical part of this thesis TQM principles are described together with its pracitcal framework, EFQM Model Excellence. This model is briefly descriobed with the main focus on the possibilities of its use and its outcomes. Self assessment is the most used part of the model so, it is logical to deserve the most attention. In the practical part of the job, the self assessment method and process is applied to a selected company. The company is evaluated in every criterium of the Model and the main strengths and areas of improvement are analyzed. In the end, everything is summarized so that one can concentrate on the most important findings.

Řízení kvality podle Modelu Excelence - EFQM

Model Excelence je moderní způsob řízení kvality. Model se skládá z devíti kritérií a dalších třicetidvou subkritérií. Práce se zabývá pouze dvěma kritérii, a to vedením a pracovníky. Cílem práce je zhodnocení řízení kvality podle Modelu Excelence v těchto dvou kritérií a následné návrhy na zlepšení stávající situace v dané společnosti.

Kvalita ve školství

Práce vymezuje pojetí kvality ve školství, její vývoj a hodnocení. Dává přehled, jaké modely a nástroje se dají využívat pro řízení kvality ve vzdělávací instituci - jedná se o normu ISO 9001:2000, ISO/IWA 2:2003, filosofii TQM, Model excelence EFQM a model CAF. Dále zjišťuje pomocí dotazníkového šetření, jak základní a střední školy v ČR vnímají kvalitu a zda znají nebo využívají některé přístupy pro řízení kvality.
