Recording Studio with Accomodation
Fiala, Jakub ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The main aim of this master’s thesis is to design a recording studio in a place of an abandoned agricultural building in a small village called Radešín. The thesis is structured into three parts. Goal of the first part is creation of a design documentation of architectural and structural designs. The building will consist of two storeys, a cellar and a gable roof. The most used building material will be reinforced concrete. Recording studio will offer three recording rooms accompanied by a large control room. Accommodation will include five apartments for ten inhabitants and a common room with kitchen. The second part is focused on design of selected building services. The building will be equipped with an air-to-water heat pump and wood chip boiler for heating. A mechanical ventilation with heat recovery will provide fresh air. Heat pump will also work as a cooling source. Furthermore, designs of the rainwater treatment, water heating, lightning and photovoltaics on the roof are included. The third part revolves around the matter of room acoustics. It describes basic knowledge and terminology of this field, which are then used to solve reverberation. I dealt with three variants – initial state, state with additional dampening and state with additional dampening with movable acoustic panels. One calculation was made in Microsoft Excel, the other one with help of room simulation in Odeon. Finally, I compared these two methods.
The church in Lesna
Pospíšil, Vojtěch ; Berka, Pavel (referee) ; Berková, Petra (advisor)
This theoretical diploma thesis deals with room acoustics and the closely related issue of reverberation. Part of the work is a drafting of acoustic modifications of the church based on manual calculation, which was further modified in a specialized software Odeon Room Acoustics Program. For the surrounding buildings of the church was created a study of the noise in a program Hluk+ in order to assess what will be the noise impact of this new building on its surroundings. On the basis of specialization was created several proposals for the design of the church. The approximate proposal of the double-plated dome, a system of drainage of the coupling neck, and the ways the anchor of the hard large-format window glazing. The result of the work is suitable design of acoustic adjustments and improvement of the listening qualities for the future construction of this church.
Digital modeling of the orchestra sound
Puczok, Daniel ; Pellant, Karel (referee) ; Doložílek, Miroslav (advisor)
This report is guide along simulation of sound sources and orchestra. Basic physical characteristics necessary to the simulation of sound sources are described here. Description of the creation of directivity files in ODEON and theirs conversion from CATT-Acoustic to ODEON are described here too. Acquired directivity files were used for simulation of orchestra and for testing the directivity characteristics to room acoustics parameters.
Air conditioning of the cinema
Czempka, David ; Rubinová, Olga (referee) ; Blasinski, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to design air-conditioning systems in the selected cinema equipped with a spacious foyer with bar, cinema hall with technical facilities, recording studio and secondary spaces. Systems are designed to meet hygienic, operational and safety requirements and to create an optimal indoor microclimate for people. The air-conditioning systems provide distribution of fresh air and extract of exhaust air, covering the heat loss in winter and heat gains in summer, and in selected spaces also humidification in the winter season. In the theoretical part of the thesis, I focused on the basic acoustic quantities and spatial acoustics.
Civic amenities building
Pastorková, Michaela ; Svoboda, David (referee) ; Berková, Petra (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is the design of the building of civic amenities in Hodonín. In particular, the leisure centre. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part of the thesis comprises architectural and structural designs, building physics assessment and energy certificate of the building. The leisure centre is a two-storey building with a flat green roof. It features various teaching rooms, including a language classroom, drama class, dance studios, technical facilities, and staff rooms. The superstructure consists of sand-lime block walls and pre-stressed concrete panel floor and roof structure. The envelope wall is insulated with ETICS. The second part focuses on the design of selected building services: space and domestic hot water heating, cooling, ventilation, and rainwater management. The heat is supplied by local district heating. Mechanical ventilation with two air handling units and a fan-coil cooling system is designed to ensure optimal indoor air quality. The third part is dedicated to the spatial acoustics in the different rooms part of a building, with an emphasis on improving the acoustic comfort for different activities and teaching rooms.
Design and Realization of Acoustic Adjustments of Listening Room
Vajda, Michal ; Miklánek, Štěpán (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is devoted to the design of acoustic modifications of residential space and the subsequent implementation of these modifications. Its aim is to design an optimal solution of the space for listening to music in accordance with the Czech Technical Standards. The basic parameters investigated are reverberation time and acoustic quality criteria. The thesis deals with simulation in the EASE modelling program and addresses situations before and after acoustic treatment. The following methods and procedures are used to comprehensively address the above mentioned treatments and to achieve the set objective. Furthermore, the simulation is verified with a custom calculator in Excel. After using the absorbers suitable for adjustment, the implementation with the final measurement of the reverberation time is carried out. Finally, an additional modification design is created using Helmholtz resonators. The implemented methods achieve an optimal and frequency balanced reverberation time and the room can be used as a mixing hall for multi-channel sound recording.
Polyfunctional house
Kuklová, Jana ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee) ; Berková, Petra (advisor)
The main aim of the thesis is to design a new building of the mixed-use building in Brno. The building consists of two parts. One part consists of shops. The second part consists of offices and conference space. It is a building that has three floors above ground and one underground. In the basement there are a facilities and a garage. Shops are designed on the ground floor. There are offices on the second floor. Conference rooms are on the third floor. The building has a flat roof. The vertical load-bearing structures are designed from Porotherm ceramic blocks. In the core of the building, the vertical load bearing structures are designed as monolithic reinforced concrete walls. Columns are used in the building for the possibility of open space. The masonry of the basement consists of white bathtub. The floors are designed as folded from the Spiroll system. Internal non-load-bearing walls are designed from gypsum board with double cladding. The second part of the work deals with forced ventilation, cooling and central heating. In the third part of the project I deal with acoustics. The project was carried out in the Auotocad program. All constructions comply with valid standards and regulations.
