Ankylosing Spondylitis and its Treatment Options in Terms of Physiotherapy

My bachelor thesis is focused on the disease called Bekhterev's disease, also known as ankylosing spondylitis. In the introduction to this thesis, I focused on my motivation and objective of this work, why I decided to write about this topic. I also mentioned the origin of this disease, its history and it's mechanism of occurence . In the practical part, I focused on the anatomical description of the human body, especially the back muscles, spine and root joints. There are even a detailed examination and diagnosis of the disease. I wanted to point out how the disease is incurable, how it occurs and whether the problems that entails can at least be partially be alleviated. I wanted to especially point out the methods of physical therapy which can be used to reduce progression of bekhterev's disease, teach affected people to live with this disease and be able to fit into the activities of daily life and ultimately find a job that is suitable for patients. I also wanted to compare two completely different stages of the disease: the patients with the fifth degree of disability with permanent movement restriction, and patients who have first degree of disability, which causes far more problems and of course, their individual approach to the disability and mental condition, both of which are very different. Histological investigation of placenta

Histological examination of the placenta The thesis on the topic "Histological examination of the placenta" is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical.The theoretical part deals with description, development and function of the placenta. Emphasis is put on laboratory processing and examination of the placenta. Placental pathology, including inflammation of the placenta, defects in maturation and circulatory disorders of the placenta are described. The comparison of fetal disorders caused by selected malfunctions of the placenta, i.e. placental inflammation (due to infection by bacteria and viruses) and developmental disorders of the placenta with fetal hypoxia. Mothers suffering form diabetes mellitus may develop diabetic placentopathy consequently endangering the fetus.In the practical part three objectives are mentioned. The first objective is to master the methodology of laboratory processing of the placenta. This objective was accomplished, because I prepared 25 histological sections all by myself and I partially prepared 65 sections. The second objective is to define possible errors during laboratory processing of the placenta. I achieved this objective by recording all the possible errors I could witness. The third objective is to present some pathological findings in the placenta. This objective was met by taking photographs of the findings and describing them in the theoretical part. The presumed hypothesis that it is possible to diagnose inflammation of the placenta, hypoxic changes, degenerative changes and manifestations of placental malfunction on the basis of laboratory processing was confirmed.I applied the methodology of laboratory processing of the placenta which is being used in laboratories of the pathological department in the České Budějovice hospital.The results can be used both in practice and in teaching.

Parish Social Works in the Czechoslovak Church from 1920 to 1955

STOLETÍ PARISH SOCIAL WORKS IN THE CZECHOSLOVAK CHURCH FROM 1920 - 1955 Autor: Františka Tichá In this work, I pursued the parish social works in the Czechoslovak church from its rise to 1950's. I partially captured an origin of the roots of the Christian church's social works in chapter two. Chapter three describes the rise of the Czechoslovak church and its social works development. The views of some of the Czechoslovak church's theologians on social concerns are captured in chapter four. Chapter five analyzes the social works in three selected parishes. In chapter six, I explained how the Czechoslovak church's teachings were implemented in parishes. Chapter seven discusses the downfall of the social works within the Czechoslovak church after February 1948. In conclusion, I have arrived at an opinion that the social works unions laid out an admirable effort in this field. It is unfortunate that due to the political changes in 1948 the social works unions had to undergo a liquidation.

Comparison of algorithm animation tools

The diploma thesis focuses on software tools which enable algorithm animation. In theoretical section of the work are introduced different ways how to present algorithms. Then the field of algorithm animation is described; it's history, development and current state. In the last part of theoretical section are shown possibilities how to use algorithm animation in teaching. Practical section of the thesis focuses on comparison of selected software tools. Selected tools are evaluated based on several criteria. The applications are then compared by multi-criteria decision making methods. Main goal of this thesis is to compare the selected software tools. Partial goals are to introduce advantages of using such applications compared to writing the algorithm in text form.

The Environmental Centre

This theses provides a complete study and all encompassing plan for the creation of an environmental centre on the edge of the South Moravian village “Horní Němčí”. During my thesis we will refer to my plans for this build as simply “Bílé Karpaty”. The building is situated on a large gently sloping plot and is intended for educating children and youth groups in the field of ecology, nature protection and human impact on the landscape in PLA “Bílé Karpaty”. This environmental centre has great potential for drumming up interest in the form of eco-tourism and for raising public awareness of environmental topics. Planned forms of education consist of lectures in teaching rooms, practical workshop sessions, outdoor activities and experiential programs in the surrounding environment. “Bílé Karpaty” environmental centre has a capacity of twenty students per day time session. The optimal teaching format would comprise of three trainers and three operational staff at a time. The building consists of a ground floor, first floor, partial basement and a full size attic. The ground floor comprises of a dining room and the workshop. The dining room´s function is flexible, and can be used as a meeting room as well. The workshop will be where people experience practical demonstration of traditional handcrafts. The first floor contains two further rooms for teaching and operational offices. The basement performs the function of housing two necessary rooms, one technical in nature and one for food storage. During the design stage my intention was focused on the use of traditional building elements, namely wood, firebrick and stone, so the build sits comfortably in its surroundings.

Selected aspects of gambling The topic of this Bachelor Thesis consists in family and social aspects of pathological gambling. The author deals particularly with the actual pathological gambling, its origination systems and its development stages in the practical part. Further she deals with the gamblers, stating exactly the risk groups of population that are endangered the most. The impact of pathological gambling on health, family and children of the pathological gambler constitutes very essential part of that chapter. The main goal of the Bachelor Thesis consisted in ascertaining the impacts of pathological gambling on the individual, the family and the family system. Partial goals consisted in ascertaining whether pathological gambling has endangered the gambler{\crq}s job, which the social impacts have been, and further in mapping of the influence of pathological gambling on marital or partner life. Ten persons playing slot machines or terminals, living in the towns of České Budějovice and Volary and aged over 18 years were selected for the research by quota selection. The practical part used the method of qualitative research, executed in form of semi-structured phenomenological interview based on pre-prepared set of questions. The answers of the respondents show that gambling makes most of them suffer from depressions and nervousness, which leads to the conclusion that pathological gambling upsets the psychical condition of persons suffering from this addictive disease. The research further shows that pathological gambling has unambiguously negative impact on marriage and subsequently also on children in the relevant family. The practical part includes also discussion with authors from whom the theoretical part drew information. The conclusions from the research correspond to expert literature almost in all aspects. The author believes that in order to restrict the incidence of pathological gambling in the Czech Republic, change of legislation is particularly needed, as well as extension of primarily preventive programs within this issue. This Thesis can be used for example by institutions dealing with this issue, as well as within primarily preventive actions or for the purpose of further studies and researches. It can also serve for teaching and it can find application within local administration and self-administration.

User documentation of the Integrated testing node

Nowadays, the development of the Integrated testing node created within the Competence Centre Software Quality Assurance at the University of Economics in Prague, came to a point where all the basic applications are functional. Since this tool provides a wide range of settings, there arose the question of how to teach users to use this tool. Due to this fact, the creation of user documentation ITN began. Its partial creation is also a part of this thesis. The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to establish a methodology for creating and managing the user documentation for the Integrated testing node. Thanks to this methodology, it will be possible to maintain the same structure and style, which will not be influenced by the changes of administrators throughout time. Furthermore, this paper presents the best practices for technical writing and a brief description of Integrated testing node's applications.

Monitoring efectivity of gymnastic warming up

Title: Monitoring the effectiveness of gymnastic warm-up Objectives: Aim of this work is to describe the effectiveness of gymnastic warm-up through evaluation of heart rate dynamics. Methods: Work partially solves the problem of the creation, managing and evaluating warm-up and uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative research. Heart rate (HR) dynamics is detected through sport-tester Polar Vantage NV, it is also used expert assessment and results processing is made by statistical methods in Microsoft Excel. Results: Dynamics of heart rate during the warm-up is different under the direction of the teacher and student -led, after comparing graphical representations, and after a thorough warm-up monitoring. It is mainly due to the amount of experience in a teaching practice and a higher level of pedagogical skills, which contribute significantly to increased warming in terms of quality control. Virtual laboratory is project aimed at creation of modern teaching instrument, which should help to students of microelectronics, but not only them, to understand questions of surface mount technology and packaging in electrotechnics. This work deals with analysis one of substantial part of the project, which is creation of interactive animations helping to understand questions of a given problems. In this work are described partial technological processes and their sequential application into interactive multimedia format.

Leisure Time Centre

The thesis aims petition leisure center in České Budějovice. The building will be used for education and sports activities citizens. Clients use the services of a cafe with gallery, multifunctional rooms, library and teaching space, the center also includes facilities for staff. The building is designed as a three-storey with a partial basement.
