Architecture in Landscape - Winery
Zelenková, Jitka ; Menšíková, Naděžda (referee) ; Urbášková, Hana (advisor)
The project designs a small family winery near Strachotín, on the bank of Nové Mlýny. The land area is 35,9 hectares and the height difference is about 30 metres. There are a beautiful views of the Pálava Hills. One of the basic ideas was to link the vineyards with the embankment. Therefore, the proposed buildings are divided into two parts - the Wine Center ( including production, presentation and sales) and a restaurant with a pension. The buildings are based on the traditional archetypal shape - a rectangle and a gable roof. The asymmetrical roofs evoke panorama of Palava. Offset the production hall and the visitor centre allows free passage and the building does not act as a barrier.

Molecular genetic and biochemical studies of selected inherited metabolic disorders, development and applications of new methods
Mušálková, Dita ; Hřebíček, Martin (advisor) ; Adam, Tomáš (referee) ; Macek, Milan (referee)
Inherited metabolic disorders (IMD) form a diverse group of several hundred different diseases with a relatively high cumulative incidence (stated up to 1:600). They are associated with accumulation of the substrates and lack of the products in specific metabolic pathways, which is caused by deficiency of the enzyme or its activator, or dysfunction of the transport protein. However, the underlying cause is at the DNA level. The grounds for different phenotype manifestation in patients with the same genotype are often not known. During my work at the Institute of Inherited Metabolic Disorders, I designed several new methods for the research of IMD and applied them in the patients and their families. I created procedures for the isolation of lysosomal membranes that are used for the research of lysosomal storage disorders and general properties of lysosomes. Next, I introduced several novel assays for determination of the X-inactivation ratio, which led to a significant increase of informative women. Nowadays, we use these methods in heterozygous women with X-linked diseases in order to study the influence of X-inactivation on the manifestation of the diseases. The cases of a girl with mucopolysaccharidosis type II, a girl with OTC deficiency and a family with the mutation in HPRT1 gene are described...

Enzymatic Studies of Organohalogen Formation By Model Compounds
Blažková, Ivona ; Tesařová, E. ; Forczek, Sándor
Research in recent years has demonstrated that halogenated organic compounds are formed in\nnature due to biotic and abiotic processes. One of the most known sources of these substances are\nfrom the reaction catalyzed by haloperoxidases which include chloroperoxidase enzyme (CPO)\nisolated from Caldariomyces fumago. CPO enzyme was incubated with chloride or bromide, in the\npresence of hydrogen peroxide and organic substrates. Experiments were conducted with three\nsubstrates (acetone, acetic acid, and glucose), and different concentrations of halides.\nMeasurement of the samples by gas chromatography with an ECD detector showed the influence\nof the substrate type and halide concentration on the formation of the organohalogen products.

The Repechy Guest-House
Bělovský, Michal ; Keith, Petr (referee) ; Keith, Petr (referee) ; Vojtová, Lea (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The basis of this Bachelor Thesis is the architectural study which was done in the summer semester of the third year of my bachelor’s studies. The topic of this architectural study was the reconstruction, rebuilding and restoration of former farmhouse in Repechy. The aim of the study was to find a suitable urban, shape and functional solution. The original idea of the owner was to create the pension as the outcome. The architectural proposal respects owner’s requirements, yet it also adds other supporting functions to create attractive place for rest, recreation and sport. The main idea of the study thus becomes the interconnection of accommodation, entertainment, recreation and education. I decided to design the object in a way so that is suitable for both couples and small families, as well as for larger groups and units. Based on this, I divided the building into three main parts. The first part is situated in the retained part of the original farmhouse in memory of the history of this place. From the functional point of view it serves as a reception, owner accommodation and occasional staff accommodation. The second part of the building is used to accommodate guests. It is an extension of double-bedded and double rooms with own hallway and en suite facilities. The third part serves as the dining room for the guests. There is a kitchen with facilities and multi-purpose space to be found. Design and the shape solution of the farmhouse are based on the rural structure character and tries to fit in this style.

The objective of the thesis is to analyze modern sensoric systems and assistance systems of active vehicle safety. In the beginning of the thesis it describes the working principles of individual sensors, their structures and their potential for driver assistance systems and in the following chapter it describes in detail some of the selected modern assistance systems. The final chapter describes the experiment, a simulation of adaptive cruise control function using the Lego Mindstorms NXT programmable robotics kit.

Repetitive formations in Hindi
Diatka, Vojtěch ; Kostič, Svetislav (advisor) ; Hons, Pavel (referee)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is systematization of classification of morphological operation known as repetition. Even elaborated studies on repetition either deal only with small part of this big topic or suffer from fragmentariness. After distinguishing repetition from reduplication we formulate definition for recognizing each case of examined phenomenon. Then we pursue the need to introduce theory of prototypes into thoughts about repetition that helps us to solve some problems concerning classification of this morphological operation. The greatest part of this thesis consists of classification of repetition itself. In introductory part of each chapter we briefly analyze the way in which other linguists treat the concrete type of repetition. Important two parts of each chapter are structural aspect and semantic aspect. By first we mean formal changes which word undergoes when reiterated. By the latter we mean semantic shifts. Both aspects are treated in detailed manner. Each type of repetition we exemplify by words taken from grammars and words taken from our corpus. Another important topic is onomatopoeic reduplication. We try to demonstrate why it is not type of reduplication and at the same time we propose how to account for this phenomenon. These words are best to describe when we...

Financial derivatives
Koutný, Ondřej ; Bakeš, Milan (advisor) ; Kohajda, Michael (referee)
1 Abstract/ Financial derivatives The purpose of this thesis is to provide an introduction to financial derivatives which has been, from the legal perspective, described in a not satisfactory manner as quite little literature that can be found about this topic. The main objectives of this thesis are to define the term "financial derivatives" and its particular types and to analyse legal nature of these financial instruments. The last objective is to try to draft future law regulation of financial derivatives and to determine the guidelines that future legislation will follow. The thesis is divided into four chapters; a short introduction is followed by a chapter concerning the origin of financial derivatives. In this chapter we learn that financial derivatives originate from commodity derivatives, which have their origins in a period ages before Christ. The second chapter is firstly concerned with determination of the term "derivative" and it further states the main reasons for which derivatives agreement are concluded. The reasons are hedging, speculation and arbitrage. Afterwards, four well- known types of derivatives, i.e. options, futures, forwards and swaps are defined in this chapter. The third chapter, named "Financial derivatives legislation", is dedicated to definition of current legislation of...

Altitudinal distribution of apomixis in the high-alpine flora of the Ladakh, NW Himalaya
BROŽOVÁ, Viktorie
Apomixis is a specific way of asexual plant reproduction by seeds. Conversion from sexual reproduction to apomixis is enabled by many different factors. These include molecular changes in DNA, changes on chromosomes, or affinity to certain taxonomical lineages. Even ecological conditions, as stressful high altitude or latitude environment, are thought to be factors capable of turning sexuality into apomixis. To test this hypothesis, we collected seeds of angiosperms from Indian part of Himalayas, in Ladakh. The seeds were analysed by FCSS where ratio of genome sizes of endosperm / embryo revealed type of reproduction system. Our data indicated 9 apomictic species from 232 totally measured species. These were Biebersteinia odora, Potentilla gelida, P. pamirica, P. sericea, P. sojakii, P. venusta, Poa attenuata, Ranunculus membranaceus and Stipa splendens. Most of the apomicts are known from previous studies or they have closely related apomictic species. Just Biebersteinia odora has no known related apomicts because of missing data about reproduction systems in this family. This results showed rather no affinity of apomictic species to high elevations; apomixis is more likely bound in taxonomically related groups. Our measurement provide extensive dataset to establish relative ratio of size of endosperm / embryo for individual families; this dataset may serve as valuable comparative material in following studies dealing with FCSS.
