Winkelbauer, Erik ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Šmejkal, Ivo (referee)
This paper deals with small computer local area networks. It introduces basic information used to understand mentioned facts and attempts to point out uncommon possibilities of its usage. First, evolution of computer networks is described along with networking basics. Subsequently paper advices how to choose and how to wire twisted pair cable and contains method of sharing cable both for phone and Ethernet signal. Next chapter is about network discovery, performed on Windows and designated applications, specifically Overlook Fing and Nmap. Difference between managed and unmanaged switches, from technological and operational point of view, is being discussed. Goal of chapter about internet connection sharing is an address and port translation configuration on networking devices for small networks and Cisco routers, as well as configuration of application proxy server. Aim of accessing inner network resources from outer network is solved by port forwarding, tested on Apache and Filezilla applications. Virtual network is represented by virtual local area network and virtual private network in last chapter. Configuration of virtual local area network on Cisco devices and its description can be found here. Further it is possible to read basic information about virtual private networks and their configuration, represented by Windows VPN and OpenVPN.

User interface design tools
Honová, Veronika ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Benáčanová, Helena (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to characterize and evaluate WYSIWYG tools used in user interface design of desktop applications and then to select the best tool. In order to achieve this goal it is first necessary to define a terminology in the problem domain of the user interface design and afterwards to specify the evaluation criteria and their weights of the tools assessment. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part explains terms like user interface, application, WYSIWYG technologies and describes the basic principles of user interface design. The practical part defines criteria for evaluation of tools used in design of user interface and characterizes selected tools. The last chapter of the practical part contains final assessment of the selected tools and the best tool is chosen. The tools chosen for evaluation are GUI Design Studio, Microsoft Expression Blend, Microsoft Office Visio, Java GUI Builder and Balsamiq Mockup. Evaluation criteria that have been selected are license, price, availability of trial version, the quality of information on the website, support, Czech localization, friendly user interface and functionality. Weights of criteria are based on one of the methods of the multi-criteria decision analysis. Contribution of this thesis can be found in evaluation of selected tools used in design of user interface and thus in comparison of several different tools.

Design of The Data Communication Between Digital Protection Relays and Monitoring System of Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant
Šula, Vladimír ; Topolánek, David (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes the provision of the data communication of the new protection relays via 6 kV switch gears to the electro monitoring system at the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station. These protection relays will replace the current analog protection. The replacement process will start in 2015 and will finish in 2018. Given the overall complexity of the project, this thesis deals only with the following 6 kV switch gears 9BB and 9BD. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part concerns the actual consumption and output of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station. The following chapters describe the electro monitoring system and GRAF and LOGA software programs that are closely connected with it and that were used in the practical part. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with the actual replacement of the protection relays of the 6 kV switch gears. Also, it describes a new optical network, which will be set up at the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station as a part of the process of replacement. The segment of the practical part concerns laboratory verification of the data communication of the new protection relays. Next, it describes actions that had to be taken in order to ensure and verify correct functionality of the data communication. This part is followed up by a closely related practical activity, which describes examination and verification of the protection functions of each of the 9BB and 9BD switch gears protection relays.

The excerptions of historical semantics based on contemporary literary and lexicographic products can also demonstrate the changes and shifts of meaning. Rejnková, Petra ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Mackovič, Ondřej (referee)
Unified modelling language UML is a result of a long-time effort to create a unified graphical notation that could be used during object-oriented development of information systems. The main aim of this thesis is to characterize UML 2.0 diagrams and show the examples of their usage in earliest phases of a development of a specific application. Next aim is to unite recommendations concerning diagram modelling and last but not least describe the main features and the development of UML and name changes that occurred in UML 2.0 compared to UML 1.x. The aims of this thesis were reached by studying available theoretical findings and practical recommendations and by consulting the modelled application with their developers and users. The diagrams were created using a trial version of Enterprise Architect 7.1. The contribution of the thesis is in the practical creation of UML diagrams based on previous consultations with the developers and the users of the application and summary of the most important information and best practices, which should be followed. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part concentrates on the most important features of UML, its development and comparison of UML 1.x to UML 2.0. The second part describes UML 2.0 diagrams in detail. Each chapter of this part characterizes a chosen diagram and includes recommendations, which should be followed so that the diagram is understandable not only to its creator, but to all people who come into contact with it. Afterwards, the mentioned facts and recommendations are used to create diagrams describing a specific application.
