A Comparison of Courier, Express and Parcels Providers’ Terms and Conditions of Carriage in the Czech Republic

The aim of this master thesis is to analyse the market of courier, express and parcels services. It focuses on the issue of relevant national and international legal framework, with a particular interest in the principles of liability. Furthermore, it provides information on activities of the major courier, express and parcels suppliers: TNT Express Worldwide and DHL Express. These two companies and their Terms and conditions of carriage are subjects for a case study which deals with logistics provider's liability for destruction or loss of or damage to cargo and liability for damage caused by delay.

Selected issues of the creditor's position in execution proceedings

Kafka Ondřej Diplomová práce 68 ABSTRACT "Selected issues of position of the beneficiary in execution procedure" This thesis is engaged in execution proceedings, especially in procedural position of the entitled subject - beneficiary, it means in procedural relations, the party of which the beneficiary is. In kind of execution is in this thesis analysed just execution on money judgement. Whole matter is observed from the position of beneficiary, as it is foreshown in Chapter One. The main accent is put on the chosen tasks inseperably connected with the position of beneficiary, that are in common standing of executions solved very often. The reason of such kind of specialization is that within positive legal regulation in Czech Republic cannot be solicitation of debts through the execution proceedings considered as troublefree. Chapter Two briefly describes execution proceeding. More detailed despcription is devoted just to relevant differences between the execution realized by executor and per curiam. To the contrary the Chapter Three is focused directly on procedural position of beneficiary pending execution proceedings, e.i. within single stages. Short exotic stories in work of Julius Zeyer

Work "Short exotic stories in work of Julius Zeyer" deals with five selected Zeyer's works that are set in the exotic land of India and Far East. One prose is associated with India, the other four with China and Japan. The works are a result of careful collecting, translating and creative work of Julius Zeyer. The present diploma thesis outlined in brief the life of Julius Zeyer and its role in the contemporary literature. It characterized Zeyer's interest in the exotic motives and way he followed them. The diploma thesis also considered form of the Zeyer's prose. The present work examined characteristics of plot and main characters and as well as the representation of the exotic places. It showed that the narrative places take part in creating the atmosphere that corresponds to the current experience of the characters. The nature of the characters is revealed against the background of the plot. Zeyer elaborated mutual connection between the characters and areas. Part of the interpretation was in each case devoted to the overall Zeyer's evocation of India, China and Japan and its artistic depth.

Hospodářské vztahy mezi Českou republikou a Rakouskem s důrazem na postavení rakouských firem na českém trhu

Diplomová se zabývá současnými hospodářskými vztahy mezi českou republikou a Rakouskem, především postavením rakouských firem na českém trhu. Cílem první části práce, která se skládá ze třech kapitol, je analyzovat hospodářské vztahy mezi Českou republikou a Rakouskem z pohledu exportu a importu zboží a služeb, zejména pak z pohledu přímých zahraničních investic. Je vyzdvihnuta důležitost vzájemných obchodních vztahů pro obě země a popsat vývoj a tendence obchodních a investičních vztahů. Kromě hospodářských aspektů obou zemí se diplomová práce věnuje změnám, které nastaly ve vývoji obchodních vztahů po vstupu České republiky do Evropské unie. První a druhá kapitola mé práce je zaměřena na stručnou charakteristiku Rakouska z hlediska historického, politického a ekonomického. Ve třetí kapitole se práce zabývá bilaterálními hospodářskými vztahy mezi Českou republikou a Rakouskem, vzájemnou obchodní výměnou zboží v hodnotovém vyjádření i komoditní struktuře, vzájemnou výměnu služeb a příležitostmi do budoucna pro české exportéry. Detailněji jsou rozebírány přímé zahraniční investice z Rakouska, jejich vývoj a faktory, ale také přímé zahraniční investice České republiky v Rakousku. Samostatná část kapitoly je věnována vstupu České republiky do Evropské unie a stručné charakteristice vývoje české ekonomiky. Druhá, prakticky zaměřená část mé diplomové práce, která je obsažena v kapitole čtvrté, je věnována postavení rakouských firem na českém trhu a výhledu do budoucna. V části, která se vztahuje do minulosti, jsou zmiňovány detailněji faktory a formy vstupu rakouských firem na český trh společně se stručnou charakteristikou vybraných firem, a jejich motivy pro vstup na český trh. Jsou zkoumány zejména cíle a priority, které si firmy při vstupu na trh stanovily a dále problémy, kterým musely v minulosti čelit. Cílem práce bylo zjistit naplnění, či nenaplnění stanovených cílů, spokojenost, i nespokojenost s postavením na českém trhu. Pozornost je věnována pozici na českém trhu, tržnímu podílu a podílu obratu v České republice na celkovém obratu firmy. Kromě jiného jsou rozebírány také hospodářské a kulturní rozdílnosti, které jsou důvodem rozdílnosti zpracování trhu českého a rakouského. Samostatná část kapitoly je věnována změnám postavení rakouských firem po vstupu České republiky do Evropské unie. Dále jsou v práci popsány současné problémy a výhody českého trhu. Česká republika patří mezi nejatraktivnější trhy EU, otázkou však zůstává, jestli je Česká republika atraktivní lokalitou pro investice i do budoucna. Účelem diplomové práce bylo zjistit, jaké cíle a priority si kladou rakouské firmy do budoucna, kde vidí šance a rizika na trhu a jakou strategii budou v budoucnu následovat.

Competence Paramedic in the Czech Republic

Paramedics´ competencies in the Czech Republic is the name of the subject of this bachelor thesis. The thesis is targeted on mapping the knowledge of the competencies of paramedics and their satisfaction with the extent of activities performed under their competence. The theoretical part of this thesis systematically clarifies the relevant issue. I describe the Integrated Rescue System and the organization thereof on the grounds of the primary representation on which the health rescue service is based. As concerns such rescue service, the thesis is focused on the legislative development, specification and financing thereof. I also specify details of the individual types of rescue teams and describe paramedics with an emphasis on legal norms. The thesis also deals with obtaining and utilizing expertise and with specialist education. Paramedics´ competencies are broken down by several groups described in great detail. In the practical part, I used the method of quantitative research. The data collection method is an anonymous questionnaire. The research team consisted of paramedics working for the Health Rescue Service of the South Bohemian Region. The questionnaires were distributed to seven various rescue stations. The answered queries confirmed both hypotheses. The results show that paramedics know their professional competencies and, when performing their jobs, are satisfied with the extent of the activities performed under their competence. The thesis shows that paramedics´ competencies are not sufficiently well described in legal norms. As a result of such insufficiency, the situation of paramedics is uselessly complicated. In the thesis, I deal with the negative reverse issues and propose a document determined for paramedics to achieve a better legal position.

The study describes woman's position in the Czech society and labour market, using relevant sociological and statistical data. Author reveals the immediate link between maternity and disadvantaging of woman in the work. The text deals with the family life and its public support and employers' policies in detail.

Valuation of Plzeňský Prazdroj, a.s.

This master thesis is concerned with the estimation of the market value of equity of Plzeňský Prazdroj, a.s. as at 30 September 2016. The market approach has been selected as the primary valuation approach with the largest impact on the value estimation; specifically the guideline public company method and the comparable transactions method are employed. The income approach based on the DCF Entity method verifies the value conclusion derived from the market approach. The going concern premise is supported by thorough analyses concerning the relevant market; market position of the valued company in relation to its competitors; and its financial health. The thesis concludes a clearly defined and justifiable range of value.

Perspektivy Moldavské republiky v integračním procesu EU

Úkolem této práce je analýza perspektiv Republiky Moldova v integračním procesu EU,ve které se pokusím podrobněji zkoumat historický a kulturní vývoj, analyzovat geopolitické a sociálně-ekonomické postavení Moldavska, za účelem ukázáni příslušnosti tohoto státu k evropskému kontinentu. Dále budu zkoumat metody a modely implementace dohod o partnerství a spolupráci s EU, Evropské politiky sousedství a Akčního plánu EU-RM. Určit s jakými obtížemi se setkává moldavská vláda na cestě k realizaci těchto dohod a jaké jsou další problémy vnitropolitického, ekonomického a bezpečnostního charakteru. Postupným studiem těchto a mnoha dalších problémů se budu snažit odpovědět na tyto otázky : Jaké jsou perspektivy Republiky Moldova v integračním procesu, v jakém časovém rozmezí se RM může stát plnoprávným, nebo alespoň parciálním členem Evropské unie?

Influence of local woody species coverage on herb vegetation on a small spatial scale

English abstract This work aims on influence of local coverage of woody layer on understorey herbs. Expansion of woody species into semi-natural grassland ecosystems is accompanied by increase of local coverage of woody layer. This process leads to changes of environmental conditions in understorey, that is followed by extinction of heliophillous herb species. This works deals with this phenomenon on a small spatial scale. The research took place near former village Tocov, situated in an abandoned landscape in Doupovské hory. This locality is typical example of woody species expansion into species rich grassland. Here, 399 phytocoenological relevés were collected. These relevés are ordered into triplets, that make triangles. There are local coverage of woody layer measured for each relevé. Impact of this variable was tested in two sizes of the observation window. Single relevés present microsites, while whole triplets present sites, where variability of local covarage of woody layer, leading to variability in herb layer, could be distinguished. Number of herb species is linearly negatively correlated with local coverage of woody layer on a smaller scale of single relevés.
