Influence of Cinematography on Public Opinion
PFLEGEROVÁ, Jana
Cinematography is the part of mass media we now encounter ever more often. In the Czech Republic it is regulated by the Act No. 249/2006 Coll., which amends the Act No. 273/1993 Coll., on some conditions of production, distribution and filing of audiovisual works, on changes and amendments to some acts and some other regulations, as amended. The creative way of life makes way to consumerism which prefers consumption and entertainment. The typical attributes of the lifestyle are: cognitive evaluation of the self and the own position in the world {--} personal life philosophy, way of experiencing {--} people differ from one another by the quality and intensity of experience, relation to work, relaxation and active movement {--} regeneration and relaxation, managing of social interactions {--} sufficient supporting social network, ego level {--} competence in management of demanding situations in life. The objective of my bachelor thesis was to determine the factor influencing the selection of films by viewers and how the films influence opinions of the general public. The performed research was supposed to confirm or to rebut the following hypotheses: H1: The general public prefers films with comedy themes. The hypothesis H1 has been confirmed. Comedy has been identified as the most popular film genre both by males and females . H2: The general public prefers Czech films. The hypothesis H2 has been confirmed. The Czech society prefers to see Czech films. H3: The general public prefers films offered by mass media. The third hypothesis has been rebutted. The most popular criterion for the film is the genre and from the total number of viewers 55% were females. Women aged 16 to 25 represented the biggest category of viewers. The research within the bachelor thesis has shown that the general public goes to the movies to relax, to have fun and to enjoy humor and entertainment. Cartoons and comedies occupy therefore the highest levels of the box office charts. The research has shown that the general public prefers Czech films. Based on the results of the completed research a conclusion has been drawn that although the influence of cinematography on the opinions of the general public is an issue important for free time pedagogy and for prevention of risk behavior, the society pays little attention to it. This bachelor thesis might be used as a suitable complementary material dealing with the lifestyle adopted by the Czech population.
Teachers´ and pupils´ views of the influence of masmedia and dangerous behaviour of children and youth
HRKALÍKOVÁ, Jana
Children lack sufficient life experience, and therefore they are not able to resist the temptation to get the offered pproduct. Advertisement creators present mystified world in the advertisement. When the child's family does notwork as it should and the child is not informed in school environment on the dangerous character of mass communication either, there is danger that the child will be influenced by advertisement and look for the missing positive model in it. A consumer of alcoholic drinks can become such model. The advertisement presents the alcohol consumer as a person leading seemingly happy life, and so alcohol consumption can attract the child. The theoretical part deals with classification of mass communication and advertisement. It describes psychological aspects of advertising. Further I describe some theories of mass media impact there. Futher part deals with the act on advertisement and ethical code of advertisement. I mention negative aspect of advertisement, particularly alcohol advertisement. I do not omit medial education and its use. I focus on alcohol abuse by youth and on harmful effects of alcohol. The goal of the thesis is to map opinions of the pupils and their teachers on the contens of advertisement in relationship to alcohol and to compare the opinions supsequently. The hypotheses are as follows.Medial education is taught of the elementary schools. Absolute majority educationalists agree on the point that children are negatively influnced by advertisement.Majority of the pupils watch advertisements. The pupils know the alcohol advertisements. The strategy of quantitative research was used, questioning and questionnnaire technique were chosen as data collection method. The questionnaire investigation was performed in 60 pupils of eighth and ninth grade of the Elementary School of Lišov and in 60 teachers of five elementary schools of the Region of South Bohemia. The questionnaires were evaluated with the help of elementary statistics of SPSS and Excel programs. I have found out that a lot of pupils watch advertisement and that they do not realise that their opinion is moulded by advertisement to some degree. The pupils like alcohol advertisement. Pupils are not sufficiently. Informed of the harmful character of alcohol. Most pupils have consumed alcohol already and they have been drunk already. Teachers state that advertisement offering alcohol mould the children's opinions. They welcome medial education and they would restrict more the promotion of alcohol advertisement.
Informedness of primary school pupils in the town of Milevsko about HIV/AIDS
VINKLEROVÁ, Lucie
AIDS is a pandemic disease known for almost three decades, and the most effective prevention is general informedness and responsible sexual behaviour. Especially young people should know as much as possible about the disease to be able to protect themselves effectively. The objective of this thesis is to find the sources of information about HIV/AIDS and the level of knowledge about this disease in adolescent population or pupils in the highest grades of Milevsko primary schools. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on adolescents, their life style and especially the awakening interest in sexuality and their sexual behaviour. I try to find the effects that may influence these sexual aspects, including sex education at school and in the family. I deal with the influence of information about HIV/AIDS on sexual behaviour of young people. I also briefly describe AIDS prevention programs for adolescents. My research conducted in the questionnaire form shows that pupils are generally informed about the issues of HIV/AIDS; however, certain factors must be addressed in more detail. A positive finding is that up to two thirds of the respondents believe that the information about HIV/AIDS will affect their future sexual behaviour to avoid infection. However, mere informedness is not enough to prevent the spread of the infection. It is also necessary to implement prevention programs, to provide quality information within sex education, but also to direct the public, through the media, towards responsible sexual behaviour of individuals. Finally, it is important to ensure and promote an atmosphere in society that will be positive and that will not help spread the infection.

The theoretical part is divided into several chapters that deal with adolescence, substance abuse, the causes of this behavior and primary prevention. Analysis of data obtained in the research section provides information about the old and the use of tobacco, alcohol and marijuana, their frequency of use, and information from adolescents who received the first drug of abuse, and differences in drug use among high school students and business services, business and vocational academies schools.
Evaluation of primary prevention in elementary schools.
PRŮCHOVÁ, Dominika
The target of primary prevention is to discourage from the risk behaviour or to postpone the risky behaviour into the later age. For this reason, mechanisms of the primary prevention were laid down, where the schools and school facilities were determined as main executor. The main factor participating in creating the attitudes and education of children is doubtlessly the family, however, it often fails in the preventive acting connected to risky behaviour. Each elementary school is obliged to elaborate the so-called {\clq}minimum preventive program``, based on the metodical instruction of the Ministry of Schools, Youth and Sports. I am trying to find out this thesis, to which extent the measures taken by the school environment are effective. The target of the thesis was to Map primary prevention activities in elementary schools on the basis of their timeliness and the prevention of representation selected to perform the evaluation of risk-taking behaviour. I believe that the target of the thesis was achieved.
A Selected Risk Behavior a Socially Undesirable Phenomenon by Children at Elementary School
SUCHELOVÁ, Markéta
The thesis deals with selected risk behaviour and socially undesirable phenomena in elementary school children. The data for the thesis were collected in ninth classes of elementary schools in the regions of South Bohemia, Central Bohemia and Ústí. Quantitative research, questioning method, the technique of anonymous questionnaire were used to ascertain the data; preset hypotheses are verified or falsified on the base of evaluation of the questionnaire. The respondents filled out the questionnaires at school, but with exclusion of the authority close to them, in order to obtain as high validity of data as possible. The thesis has a theoretical part describing individual selected phenomena, previous statistics of their incidence and the current period of life of the respondents. The practical part sets goals and describes the actual research and discussion with authors I have drawn from. The goal of the work was to map the incidence and extent of the selected phenomena of pupils of ninth classes of elementary schools. Partial goals were to select the phenomena among the individual regions and to compare the data with implemented prevention. The research shows that the selected phenomena occur in all regions; none of the phenomena is absent in any of the regions. Use of legal, socially tolerated substances, i.e. alcohol and tobacco, is most frequently represented. Each of the selected reasons is more endangered in another form of risk behaviour than the other regions. The Region of South Bohemia appears as the most risky one, with the highest experience of pupils with illegal drugs, both in the number of cases experience and in the frequency of use. The research also shows that the implementation of primary prevention comes late for almost all forms of selected risk behaviour, often only after the pupils have engaged themselves, or shortly before. The results of the thesis can be used in practice, e.g. by instructors of primary prevention, by school methodologists to set up Minimum preventive programs and last but not least for teaching and for the need of other research.
Výskyt vybraného rizikového chování u žáků základních škol v okresech Louny a České Budějovice
NOVÁKOVÁ, Eva
Risk behaviour is considered one of the very serious problems of present social development. It has been developing dynamically and the methods used to solve it cannot be evaluated as efficient. This statement does not only apply for the Czech Republic but it affects the whole present society. We are therefore dealing with an international problem. Risk behaviour includes a wide scale of problems representing a great risk in children and youth at present and it has been dealt with by many experts. This phenomenon has been developing without cease and in our society it is a very up to date and discussed issue that should get more attention and more prevention. The diploma thesis consists of a theoretic and a practical part. The theoretic part consists of studied secondary literature and other materials and sources. To carry out the research several methods of collecting data were chosen: quantitative research methods, questioning method, data collection by means of a questionnaire. In the questionnaire several question types were applied: closed questions, semi-open questions, controlling questions and questions the evaluation of which was carried out by means of an evaluating scale. The research file for the questionnaire survey was made up by students of 9th grades of primary schools in the districts of České Budějovice and Louny. In total 593 questionnaires were handed out and filled out in both districts (404 questionnaires in České Budějovice and 189 questionnaires in Louny. The research aimed at providing an account concerning the occurrence of chosen risk behaviour in students of 9th grades of primary schools in the districts of České Budějovice and Louny and at compiling the obtained data and at comparing them mutually. The paper further aimed at finding out sources of information concerning chosen forms of risk behaviour and the rate of impact these sources may have in affecting students of 9th grades of schools in the districts of České Budějovice and Louny and how these sources can motivate students to take part in risk behaviour. To achieve the set goals the following hypotheses have been set: H1: The chosen risk behaviour occurs in a higher rate in students of primary schools in the district of Louny. H2: Information from media, the Internet and friends are for students of 9th grades of primary schools in the districts of České Budějovice and Louny more motivating to take part in chosen forms of risk behaviour than information obtained at school, from the family, lectures and meetings. Results of this paper may serve as information material for headmasters and teachers to achieve better awareness concerning the given issue at chosen primary schools in the districts of České Budějovice and Louny. Further it can be used as a basis for more efficient prevention at the given schools or as material for the needs of teaching and further research.
The occurrence of selected risk behaviour of some pupils of the primary educational school system
KORTIŠOVÁ, Jana
The occurrence of selected risk behaviour of some pupils of the primary education school system Abstract of the Bachelor Thesis The task of my thesis is to map and analyse the occurrence of selected risk and addictive behaviour in the population of primary education pupils in primary schools in České Budějovice region. In the theoretical part of my thesis I explain the term risk behaviour and its aetiology. I also describe various types of risk behaviour, which I have divided into drug and non-drug addictions and I characterize the period of adolescence here. For attainment of outlined goals are by quantitative research in a form of an anonymous questionnaire gathered data at six primary schools in České Budějovice. On the basis of these data are investigated the experience of pupils with selected risk and addictive behaviour. Nominally it refers to experience of pupils with alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, bullying, gambling and using computer and internet. Basing on my research I also verify three prospective hypotheses. Hypothesis No. 1: Pupils have the first experience with legal addictive drugs before the age of twelve. This hypothesis was verified. Hypothesis No. 2: Pupils have first experience with illegal addictive drugs before the age of fourteen. Also here was the hypothesis verified. Hypothesis No. 3 claims: Absolute majority of primary education pupils have in the course of school attendance come across bullying. This hypothesis was disproved. From my research results no more than 34 % interviewed pupils came across bullying. The results of my bachelor thesis can be used for the needs of further research or for the needs of education and can be part of a preventive process in school system. The results can be also used for a better measure of informedness about selected risk behaviour of children and adolescents. Supervisor of the Bachelor Thesis: Mgr. Evaluation of the Primary Prevention of Risk Behavior at Elementary schools
ŠMATLÁKOVÁ, Iva
The title of my thesis is {\clqq}Primary prevention evaluation of the risk behaviour in primary schools``. Risk behaviour is a general term and there are different notions of what it covers. According to specialists in this field it is possible to determine three spheres of the risk behaviour. The first sphere is the drug abuse, the second sphere is behaviour related to the reproductive health and the third is the risk behaviour in the psychosocial respect. These are current issues discussed in society. The phenomena of drug abuse, bullying or pathologic gambling addiction are the most frequent forms of sociopathology occurring in primary schools pupils. The current state description of this issue is drawn from specialist literature. The description deals with the term risk behaviour, kinds of social pathologic phenomena, the primary prevention both in-school and out-of-school and the target group {--} teenagers. The important risk behaviour development factor is prevention. The objective of my thesis is to learn how effective the measures imposed by family members, friends, media and mainly by the school environment are. The aim of the thesis is also to review the effectiveness of the risk behaviour primary prevention in primary schools. The partial aim is to survey attitudes of pupils and school consultants to primary prevention and to risk behaviour prevention. To collect data the quantitative method of anonymous questionnaires was used. The quantitative research in the form of a semi-standardized interview with school consultants was also used. The conclusions of the research show that children have considerable experience with drugs of abuse and school consultants do not consider preventive measures to be effective enough. The results of my thesis were made available to school headmasters and to prevention consultants and may be used as a resource in primary prevention.
The Knowing of Adolescents about HIV/AIDS
SOMPEKOVÁ, Zuzana
Summary My bachelor work ``The Knowing of Adolescents about HIV/AIDS{\crqq} wants to find out how our adolescents are informed about HIV/AIDS and protection against sexual diseases, how they behave sexually, if they observe rules of safe sex and what they know about handling with potentially contaminated hypos. The theoretical part considers the role of family in sexual education and the role of parents in relation to sexual education. The next question is when and how to start with such education which is closely connected with pubescence and relationship between adolescents and their parents. Then I follow up with ``sexual education at schools{\crqq}, I define sexual education as a school subject, its purposes and reasons of obligatory sexual education. A necessary attention was paid to safe sex, risky behaviour and areas of such behaviour of adolescents and influence factors of hazardous behaviour, which can be regarded from individual, family or social aspects. This work also tackles all sexual diseases and their prevention. There are three ways of prevention {--} primary, secondary and tertiary. I write about rules of successful prevention. The theoretical part is closed with risky and protective factors, such as heredity, personality of a child, family, school, contemporaries and environment in general. I used a questionnaire to treat my practical part. It was focused on the facts if adolescents are informed enough about HIV and AIDS, if they prevent during sexual intercourse and if they know how to handle a used hypo. The results are shown in graphs and tables. The survey showed that adolescents know quite a lot about HIV and AIDS but the information is not precise and sufficient. It is necessary to make more intensive and advanced-level preventive courses, expand sexual education, which should be realised already since lower school classes. A professional control of information on the Internet and in youth magazines should be assured together with an observation of using these sources of information as complementary. However, young people should be sure they will find neither invalid information nor disinformation there.
