The poetics of Álvaro Mutis (Resena de los Hospitales de Ultramar)
Moučková, Lucie ; Vydrová, Hedvika (referee) ; Housková, Anna (advisor)
In this theses, La poética de Álvaro Mutis (Resena de los Hospitales de Ultramar), we're trying to show the exuberant poetry of the Colombian writer Alvaro Mutis, basically composed by the contrast of refined language and images representing people and nature in decadent status. The first chapter is more theoretical and we dedicate it to decisive events in Mutis's life, in order to give a complete view of his literary production. We continue by mentioning some, mostly European authors, works and literary and philosophical streams, which had significant influence on Mutis's writting and his perception of the world. We also comment the instrument used by the poet to formulate his fears and worries, his lyrical voice: the adventurer Maqroll el Gaviero. The second chapter is dedicated to the Mutis' poetic work. We have divided it into two main streams that differ in motives and lyrical voices. The first group presents Maqroll's figure, consisting of mess, hopelessness and decadence and we can find this orientation in poem books such as Los elementos de desastre, La Resena de los Hospitales de Ultramar, Caravansary and some poems from Los emisarios. In the second group of books, the lyrical subject is identified with traditional, theocratic and monarchist view of the universe. There is mystical and musical...

Kozák, Jakub ; Šíma, Josef (advisor) ; Ždímal, Martin (referee)
This diploma thesis is focused on comparison of two political approaches to a quite new e-commerce industry -- internet gambling. These approaches are prohibition on the one hand and regulation, free market environment, on the other hand. Internet gambling became the worldwide phenomenon. However, American legislators had passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act 2006 in 2006 which outlawed an internet gambling. The declared purpose of this Act is protection of families against ill effects, such money laundering, underage gambling and problem gambling on society. This paper argues that regulation and free market environment established in Great Britain is much more effective way how to solve these key issues. There is demonstrated in the paper that free market stands for economically preferable option and contains better instruments for solving the issues at the same time.

Lazarou, Loucia ; Pecháček, Stanislav (referee) ; Beynon, Jennifer Carol (advisor)
In my master thesis I studied how harmony, rhythm and forms can apply in music in Cyprus, comparing it also with the Bel canto popular style of singing. Some genres and rhythms can be also found in Europe, Arabia, Greece and Asia Minor, but there are somehow different having their own individuality. Firstly, (chapter 1) I spoke about the Geographical place of Cyprus, which was forever a temptation for war. The roots and the influences on Cypriot music was my next topic. (Subchapter 1.1, 1.2) Secondly, (chapter 2) I spoke about the Demotic song, and how music and personal experiences of the people came together. I moved through the characteristics, melody and rhythm. Furthermore, (chapter 3) I made a short chapter on the traditional instruments. The next chapter (No 4) is one of the most important chapters in the thesis. The scales of folk songs in Cyprus are mixed and difficult for some people to understand, because of their way of playing and the influences upon them. I continued with the detailed description of Cypriot folk songs in chapter 5, the genres, the forms and their history. It is very important for the teacher or the student to understand their origin, in order to sing the Cypriot folk songs. A short history about Bel canto and the main representatives of that style is introducing us to...

Ludvíková, Veronika ; Wünschová Pujmanová, Alexandra (advisor) ; Žikovská, Petra (referee)
Copyright in Practise of television broadcasting Summary Copyright in practice of television broadcasting is an issue that is constantly becoming increasingly important. With development of instruments and devices and more and more liberal legislation in the sphere of telecasting, number of television stations has been increasing rapidly and other TV stations are going to occur along with advancing digital broadcasting. TV stations have to deal with copyrights in order to be able to use individual programmes (§ 18 and following paragraphs) which are part of their programme offers. With regard to the nature of this medium, copyrights of audiovisual materials and of materials used for audiovisual purposes are mainly going to be concerned, such as screenplay, music, camera, artistic design of the scene etc. Copyright Act gives the author an exclusive right to decide how s/he is going to use the work, as well as a right to permit third persons to use the work. It mostly happens on contract basis by means of a so called Special Licence Contract that was newly introduced in 2000 by current Copyright Act. Authorizations to use works are ex lege contained in other contracts too, on grounds of which a work designed for telecasting may be produced. I especially mean Contract for Work according to Civil Code or...

The nal part focuses on global music-theoretical features of recordings such as tempo, melodic phrases, chord accompaniment or key.

Duty od Care of Members of Statutory Bodies in Capital Business Companies and its Relation to Internal Compliance Programs
Andreisová, Lucie ; Dědič, Jan (advisor) ; Boháček, Martin (referee) ; Lasák, Jan (referee)
The purpose of this dissertation is to provide its readers with a detailed and comprehensive look at the institute of duty of care, business judgment rule and related civil and partly also criminal liability of members of (not only) statutory bodies of capital business companies, and in this respect also to introduce an internal compliance program as one of the main instruments of good and effective corporate governance. The main objective of this dissertation is therefore to verify or refute the hypothesis whether, and if so in what particular form, can an internal compliance program be seen as an institute helping members of statutory bodies of capital business companies in fulfilling specific requirements and obligations of their duty to carry out the statutory function with due (managerial) care. The existence (implementation) of an internal compliance program is quite commonly connected with so called regulated markets and also with individual business corporations whose ownership structure extends the boundaries of the Czech Republic (typically British or American business corporations seated in the Czech Republic). But what about a wide neutral zone of Czech business corporations, i.e. especially small and medium-sized capital business companies? Shall these implement an internal compliance program as well? And, if so, on what grounds and with what benefits?
