The effect of the type of profession on the perception of stress
NIEMCOVÁ, Markéta
The thesis reviews scientific findings relevant to the issues of stress and burn-out syndrome in its theoretical part. It focuses both on the general description of the two related phenomena and their detection and prevention options, as well as on the relationship between them and the individual{\crq}s specific professional specialization. The research part of the thesis concentrates on mapping out of severity and frequency of stress situations, on feelings associated with the burn-out syndrome, and on the possibilities of social support systems among the respondents working in different types of professions and represented by three samples: teachers {--}future educational counselors-, managers in supranational consulting companies, and therapists providing care for individuals with mental retardation and psychiatric disorders. The present work further looks at differential subjective perception of stress events among these professions. Questionnaires BMS (Ayala Malach-Pines, 2005, The Burn-out Measure Short Version) and JSS-CZ (Spielberger, Knotková, Man, 1999, Inventář pracovního stresu) were used for the data collection, as well as additional personal questions. In addition, the results{\crq} implications and their limitations for possible generalizations are discussed.

Dependency between age of respondents and the choice of their answer is tested here by using Chi-Square Test, Pearson's and Cramer's Coefficient. Respondents are divided into three groups according to age. Results of testing, in case of question about stress, don't confirm the hypothesis of independence. Younger emploees perceived stress less than older employees. In all other cases failed to demonstrate the dependence.

Muchová, Linda ; Karfíková, Lenka (advisor) ; Kranát, Jan (referee)
My thesis deals with understanding in Martin Heidegger, which is also the title of the thesis. The primary literature used for this work is Being and Time. Understanding is definitely one of the most important issues of the 20th century philosophy in general, which should be shown in this work. This work should present roots of understanding in Heidegger's early philosophy from all different perspectives. It is important to stress that above all, the aim of this work, was from the beginning, to show the most original way of Heidegger's thinking on the subject of understanding. The unique way of grasping understanding should be made explicit in the thesis. There is also one particular point in Heidegger's philosophical approach of understanding, which should be brought into light in a much clearer way. It is the problem of understanding and the place of another human being in Heidegger's philosophy when he analyses understanding. It is important to make clear that Heidegger's approach to understanding and hermeneutics was very influential for other philosopher's of the 20th century, for example Paul Ricoeur. Ricoeur shows in his work weak and strong points of Heidegger's philosophy concerning hermenetics and understanding. Ricoeur's remarks will make us able to understand Heidegger's philosophy better....

Pohanková, Iva ; Svoboda, Jiří (referee) ; Knoll, Jiří (advisor)
Considering the ever growing demands imposed on the present day education managers and their subordinates in a rapidly developing transformation society, the issues of mental well-being and of keeping it are substantiated, because properly working managers and teaching staff play a key role in every school's success. This thesis is focusing on identifying the causes of the negative phenomena connected with mental health with which education managers and teaching staff are confronted on an everyday basis; i.e. the causes of stress and burnout syndrome. This thesis also deals with the aftermaths of these negative factors that may have adverse effects on the performance of the whole staff. The main objective of the thesis was to compile a well-arranged manual for school managers, or principals. The manual should be instrumental in creating an appropriate concept of mental hygiene for the teachers. Its implementation could prevent the above-referenced phenomena in a goal-directive fashion, minimize their occurrence, and deal with their consequences, if any, effectively and immediately.

Information systems of public administration
Špinarová, Eva ; Toth, Petr (advisor) ; Duben, Jan (referee)
Information systems of public administration, including their legislative confirmation are developing in the Czech Republic. Nowadays, a series of legal regulations enable electronic communication via public authorities and between public authorities and other entities. Legal regulation also deals with issues regarding electronic submission signed by authorized electronic signature. Electronic submission is provided through electronic registers. The reason for legislative confirmation of electronic documents is to make them equal to their documentary form. Goal of my diploma is to describe and analyze state of mechanisms and information tools used within public administration and also to evaluate how public, as its consumer, uses public services. Ideally, my diploma should answer a question whether communication between an individual and public administration is an effective one. My diploma will introduce detailed steps of dealing with electronic documents in such a way that their use has equivalent legal impact with their documentary form. I would like to stress the necessity of elaborating of methodologies, instructions and procedures and finding solutions for the above proceedings.

International Context of the Mediterranean Union Project
Vincentová, Romana ; Eichler, Jan (advisor) ; Dubský, Zbyněk (referee)
This work focuses on the Mediterranean Union project proposed by Nicolas Sarkozy during the French presidential campaign in 2007. It represents a comprehensive portrayal of the Mediterranean region which has been due to its unique characteristics the center of attention of various international parties involved. These have been trying to take advantage of the Mediterranean Sea potential namely since the end of the 20th century and, at the same time, to introduce stability by means of various integration groups and further projects of cooperation. The Barcelona Process was the most complex partnership project within the Mediterranean territory which was launched by the European Union in 1995. The Barcelona Process or the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership nevertheless has not brought any significant achievements, with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict being considered the greatest impediment to its success. The work stresses the significance of the new project of the Mediterranean Union, which should learn a lesson from all the previous and, in many aspects unsuccessful, integration efforts and try to find a different way which would lead to achieving stability and cooperation of the countries within the region. In 2008, the Union for the Mediterranean developed from the Mediterranean Union project, which should reassume within the most possible extent the Barcelona Process. At the same time, the new integration approach should not consist of setting general goals but of formulating specific goals and their gradual implementation, which could lead to the unity of the region in the end. Complex political issues, however, still pose the major threat today.

Vojtová, Pavla ; Štěpánek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Šerák, Michal (advisor)
The main aim of this text is to inform the reader about the possibilities of harmonisation of the working and family life of contemporary woman. However, right at the beginning I would like to stress, that although the title contains the word "woman," women are not - even cannot be - the only target group related to the topic of harmonisation of the working and family life. This theme involves every member of the society. In this sense are all people the actors, who create the social reality and thus influence the quality of social life and related possibilities of articulation of the working and family sphere. The topic of harmonisation is closely connected with assertion of the equal opportunities of women and men. This work is primarily dedicated to women, because they meet the problem of compatibility of work and family daily, and it often means difficult task for them. We are talking mainly about the women on maternal leave and following parental leave, who are at that time, and often long before, facing the decision between career and family. But not only them are seeking satisfaction in these two important life fields of modern people. When talking about women, we must talk about men simultaneously. Much attention is therefore paid also to them in this text, because they are integral part of social...
