Theme of diploma thesis: Synthesis of Pyrazine Derivates as Potential Antituberculotics I. My diploma thesis comprises recherché concerned with contemporary importance of tuberculosis and new treatment approaches in its therapy. We have found out the methods of synthesis of amides of pyrazinecarboxylic acid derivates in chemical literature. Experimental part deal with synthesis of six new amides on the basis of pyrazinecarboxylic acid derivates, till now not published. Newly synthesized compounds have been characterized by melting points, TLC, elemental analysis, IR, 1 H and 13 C NMR spectra. In vitro data of eight new compounds are presented. My diplomat thesis brings new antimycobacterial data, antifungal data and log P values are calculated. Hradec Králové, 2010 Drahomíra Eibinová

Experimentální a simulační metody pro optimalizaci scintilačního detektoru
Schauer, Petr ; Autrata, Rudolf
In S(T)EM an image is formed using a focused electron beam, which is scanning across a very small part of the specimen surface. A scintillation detection system consisting of a scintillator, light-guide and photomultiplier (PMT) processes only one pixel of the image at any given moment. Not only efficiency, but also kinetic properties of such a system are of great importance. Scintillation detectors can show a noticeable difference in detective quantum efficiency (DQE) due to the bad electron-photon energy conversion and/or light losses in the optical part of the detector. Up to now, some studies were engaged in measurement of S(T)EM detectors performance ascertaining very low DQE for some detectors, but no suggestion has been made to optimize the detector set-up. To find the neck of a detection system, one must examine the whole detection path step by step

Valuation of CEZ Group
Kmínek, Václav ; Mařík, Miloš (advisor) ; Tůma, Pavel (referee)
The thesis is targeted to a valuation of CEZ Group. The Czech based utility CEZ Group ensures regular production and supply of electricity and other essential products for everyday needs of the population in CEE region. The purpose of presented valuation is to determine whether the shares of these publicly traded company are correctly valued and that there exists any upside or downside potential. The final valuation is primarily determined by using two well-known valuation approaches -- discounted cash flow (based on operating profit analysis) and peer group analysis (based on market analysis). In order to provide a full range of understanding, the thesis consists of eight main parts focused on company profile, strategic analysis, financial analysis, value drivers, financial plan, minorities and final valuation. Further, all these parts are split up into few sections. Conclusion of the thesis includes an investment recommendation.

Self-harm prevention in inpatients
Necid, Petr ; Marx, David (advisor)
The aim of this diploma work is to explore tactics which would help serve as a preventive measure from inpatients inflicting self-harm. This work was conducted in selected psychiatric departments throughout the Czech Republic by using an anonymous questionnaire investigation. Only fifty percent of the departments have internal guidelines for detection of at risk patients. Eighty-eight percent of departments have an internal system for reporting extraordinary events. Many of these departments have advanced technical equipment, but there are still some departments with technical equipment at lower levels, probably due to the high costs associated. Only two departments are using scales for evaluation of admitting patients. Fifty percent of the departments evaluate risks of self-harm for admitting patients. Self-harm was present in all departments in this study; seventeen percent of departments did not report any number of suicide attempts and forty two percent of the departments did not report any number of the self-harm attempts. The results are showing a positive trend in the role of prevention, as well as increasing the safety level within individual departments. The data are also showing that not all of departments are taking sufficient measures to ensure prevention. Clear evidence of self-harm and suicide...

Jihlava IDFF: festival identity as based on the network construction
Hlubek, Jan ; Čeněk, David (referee) ; Hanáková, Petra (advisor)
This thesis analyses the International Documentary Film Fest ival Jihlava from the point of view of the actor-network theory. Its focus is to understand various ways the festival (as unique and indispensable event in the cultural space) const ructs its identity. It suggests that the evolution of the Jihlava IDFF is possible only due to its formation as an actor-network - heterogeneous complexity of people, things and their interact ions. Network's capacity of effective transformations allows the festival to position itsel f on the domestic festival map and integrate successfully to the international film festival ci rcuit. The festival actor-network aims mainly to sustain and ampli fy its position of an unreplaceable cultural institution. Analogous to another festival networks, Jihlava IDFF t ries to produce certain cultural value - through the original agenda-setting, programming and the creation of a singular meeting point. And the identity of the Jihlava IDFF can be seen as the result of this network's complexity.

Pyrazine derivates as potential drugs I.
Klusoňová, Petra ; Doležal, Martin (advisor) ; Opletalová, Veronika (referee)
Title of diploma thesis: Pyrazine derivatives as potential drugs I. Review of actual worldwide problem of tuberculosis and trends in the tuberculosis treatment and chemical recherché were the parts of this work. Novel pyrazine derivatives connected via -CONH- bridge with substituted anilines were synthesized. The synthetic approach, analytical, spectroscopic, lipophilicity and biological data of twelve newly synthesized compounds were presented. All products were characterized and tested against Mycobacterium tuberculosis strain H37Rv and against eight fungal pathogen strains. Additionally, the study of inhibition of oxygen evolution rate in spinach chloroplasts and reduction of chlorophyll content in the green algae Chlorella vulgaris in the series of prepared compounds were drawn. Structure-activity relationships among the chemical structure, lipophilicity (log P), and their biological activity of the evaluated compounds were discussed as well.

Derivates of Pyrazine as potentional drugs III.
Gryc, Michal ; Doležal, Martin (advisor) ; Zimčík, Petr (referee)
Title of the diploma thesis: Derivates of Pyrazine as potentional drugs III. Within this thesis the research focused on the current influence of tuberculosis in the world was carried out as well as its therapy. In the chemical literature, there were found some methods to prepare the substituted esters of pyrazincarboxylic acid. There was synthesized six substances of the character like esters pyrazincarboxylic acid, that had not been described so far. The compounds were synthesized in the CEM Discover microwave system with Explorer 24 autosampler and purified and separated using a CombiFlash ® Rf. Device. All the products were characterized by melting point, TLC, IR, 1 H, 13 C NMR spectra. Series of substances were subjected to in vitro biological evaluation. The work result brings some new information on the antimycobacterial activity. In addition, the calculated log P values of newly prepared compounds are also presented in this thesis.

Evaluation of the company Kordárna, a.s.
Kopecký, Ondřej ; Kislingerová, Eva (advisor) ; Schönfeld, Jaroslav (referee)
The work attempts to determine the value of company Kordárna, a.s. due to ongoing insolvency process. In the theoretical part there are described the methodological tools that are used in the valuation. They describe internal and external potential of the company. These methods are applied to the company in the practical part. In addition to determining the value of the company there is also assessed advantage of the reorganization, which allows the new insolvency law. The work shows that the reorganization causes higher proportional satisfaction of creditors than in the case of bankruptcy.

Sport activities in human-dog interaction
Grbavčic, David ; Gnad, Tomáš (referee) ; Neuman, Jan (advisor)
Thesis title Sport activities in human - dog interaction Thesis objectives The thesis introduces sport activities involving the interaction of human and dog. Its aim is to ascertain the physiological load imposed on the body during selected sport activities in which a human is engaged in an interaction with a dog and to compare the findings with the physiological load generated by another sport activity (mountain bike). Methods Analysis of expert documents. Heart-rate monitoring with the Polar RS400 sporttester capable of processing data on heart-rate and body load. Results The results obtained in separate measurements have proven the defence work to be more physically demanding for a sportsperson than riding a mountain bike. The assumption was confirmed by the differences in heart-rate values and the varying time periods needed for the sportsperson's recovery. Recovery time after a mountain bike training session is fourteen hours. In contrast, it takes the sportsperson (the helper) twenty-seven hours to recover from a defence work session of equal length. Considering the diversity of defence work training units and the small number of measurements the results are to be taken as tentative. However, they will facilitate improved training preparation of defence work helpers. Key terms dog sport,...
