Změny v regionální politice v novém programovém období 2014 - 2020

The thesis is focused on the identification of changes in regional policy in the new programming period, based on a comparison of program for 2007-2013 and 2014-2020. It is also focused on the implications of these changes for applicants and implementers of the project applications. The first section identifies changes in regional policy on European level, then changes on national level. It will identify changes in the level of cohesion regions and finally there is an effort to formulate recommendations for subjects that face that problem of regional policy-related areas, specifically for applicants and im-plementers of the project applications in the new period.
Territorial polarity socio-economic differentiation Slovakia

The bachelor thesis deals with the territorial polarization of socio-economic differentiation Slovakia based on the application of spatial analysis of selected indicators. The main objective is to identify the key determinants of participating in the development of regional disparities. Indicators are classified by nature into three different categories on the economic, social and others. The indicators include gross domestic product (GDP), unemployment, divorce or religiosity. Final results embody the main determinants profiling territorial difference and at the same time defining the degree of spatial polarity.
EU Structural Funds focusing on the Zlín Region

Diploma thesis analyses current state of the European Union's Regional policy in an environment of the Zlín Region. The attthesisention is aimed at current programming period 2007-2013, motives of development, defined objectives, operating principles and system of regional policy implementation in Czech Republic including the future settings of EU Structural Funds Subsidies Exploiting System. For the futher purposes of the thesis the attention is focused on the success of the Regional Operational Programmes, that serve as a basis for the second part of the thesis. Then the analysis of the Regional Operational Programme of the Central Moravia Cohesion Region and socioeconomic analysis of the Zlín Region follow. The practical part of thesis consists of analysis of the Structural Funds through the ROP Central Moravia in the Zlín Region, specifically in the microregion Uherský Brod. The output of the diploma thesis is to document the specific contribution to regional development using selected microregion
Comparative Analysis of Regional Disparities in the Czech and Slovak Republic

This thesis is concerned with regional disparities in The Czech and Slovak Republics. The theoretical part is therefore related to the definition of the region, regional policy and regional disparities. Implied are different concepts, classification, and the methods of measurement and evaluation of regional disparities. In the practical part of this thesis, regions of the Czech and Slovak Republics are evaluated from the ecomical point of view using Bennet method. Finally there is comparison of selected regions between the two countries.
Regional Disparities in the Russian Federation

The Russian Federation is an economically and politically important state dealing with a serious socio-economic problem of inequality in the development of its regions. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze macroeconomic disparities within subjects of the Russian Federation and to explain the causes of their occurrence. Possible ways of bringing the economic development of the regions at the same level are also considered in the thesis. The bachelor thesis deals with the term of gross regional product, demographic trends and labour market, foreign trade, FDI and the federal budget. The subjects of the RF are compared according to these indicators.
Regional disparities of the Mexican Republic

First chapter is dedicated to the basic characteristics of Mexico. Cultural and historical evolution of the country is analised there, geographic part and demographic and economic parameters in comparison with other Latin American countries. Second chapter analyses various geoeconomical divisions of the country into economic regions. In the third chapter, eight selected Mexican states are analysed from sociogeographic, demographic and economic point of view. The fourth chapter treats the direct foreign investments to the country, its origin and destination, with a special look on USA, China and EU. Fifth chapter briefly summarises the regional disparities, is dedicated to the future perspectives of its evolution and a proposal of possible solutions from the side of the author.
Regional differences of foreign direct investments

The thesis describes and analyses the development of foreign direct investments in Czech Republic with emphasis on state and regional level. The goal of my thesis, focusing on the topic "Regional differences of foreign direct investments", is to answer the question if foreign direct investments help to decrease the regional disparities. The first part of the thesis oves more detail sof FDI definition, types, factors of localizations and barriers. Second part of the thesis answers the question if FDI brings positive impact to economic development. The third part defines the regions supported by government. The main part of the thesis analyses the development of FDI in Czech Republic and two levels of districts during 2000-2008. In the last part of the thesis are mentioned two examples of foreign direct investment localizated in Czech Republic, in different districts.
Disparity in the Sphere of Tourism in the Central Bohemian Region

The work deals with regional disparities that play a key role in regional development process. Regional disparities are a major problem of regional development because they cause an uneven regional development. This work focuses specifically on disparities in tourism and it looks for suitable indicators to do a research on these disparities in the Central Bohemia Region. In this work, tourism figures as an instrument of regional policy for developing the region and, if possible, to reduce the regional disparities. Disparities in tourism are primarily characterized as spatial disparities that are mainly determined by indicators of transport infrastructure, natural environment and the potential for tourism. Using selected indicators of the indicators above, this work assesses the disparities of tourism in the Central Bohemian Region and it recommends some ways to reduce these disparities.
