Survey of Audio Guide Use in the Czech Republic

The thesis deals with an audio guide service. In general terms, it is divided into both theoretical and empiric part. The theoretical part consists of two chapters where the first one outlines tour guiding while the second one describes city tourism. The empiric part, as in the third chapter, opens up with an overview of some of the major companies providing the audio guide service in the Czech Republic. A list of prices of the actual price of each item is also included. The following chapter provides a comprehensive list of tourist sites as in which the audio guide has already been successfully put in use. The thesis concludes with the last chapter featuring a survey which primarily aims to find out whether the service has generally sunk in or not and what the general public awareness of the phenomenon actually is.

Guide to the bike paths in Netolice region

This bachelor's thesis provides evaluation of existing cycling paths in the Netolice micro region while subsequently introducing new complementary paths. The first part covers existing literature on cycling paths in the Netolice region, and physical-geographic conditions such as geology, geomorphology, pedology, waters, climate, fauna and flora, nature and landscape preservation. The second part covers general characteristics of the Netolice micro region, history, trailblazing, and cycling paths classification. In this second part, there are introduced, among others, projects dedicated to cycling in the Czech Republic. The final part covers the existing cycling paths, their benefits and shortcomings. Moreover, characteristics of newly created cycling paths are provided there. Included in this bachelor's thesis, there are maps of newly proposed cycling paths including their elevation profiles.
Cycling guide for the Vodňany region

The theme of this thesis is to introduce the Vodňany region as an area suitable for cycling, which is supported by proposals of new bike routes. The first part is characterized by problems of bike paths and bike routes and the author has assessed guidebooks dealing with this region. Furthermore, the work deals with the general characteristics of the region including geo-physical and cultural-historical part. The second part is focused on current state of cycling infrastructure in the Vodňany region and proposal for new bike routes, which this touristic area could benefit from. These cycling routes differ in difficulty and mostly run along routes with minimal or no traffic and suplement the existing network of bike routes. In total, the author created two road circuits around Vodňany, which consist of seven bike routes. Each route includes a route description, photographs of places of interest, map and altitude profile.
Geographical guide of the arctic area - Špicberky

The main aim of this thesis is a preparation of the first Czech geographical guide to the arctic area of Spitsbergen (Svalbard). The thesis is based on English and German specialized books as well as on author´s personal experience that he gained during his three months working stay in there. Theoretical part consists of minute description in accordance with practice used for generation of geographical guidebooks. In practical part of the thesis is author´s draft of his own routes tracing, including thein difficulty, photos and specification. Part of it will work sheets for secondary school pupils, presentation and methodical manual for teachers.
Analysis and Applications API eBay

The subject of this bachelor thesis "Analysis and Applications API eBay" is to create application based on the use of Application Programming Interface (API), released by eBay. The theoretical part is focused on explaining the fundamental issue of Internet auctions, e-commmerce, comparsion of auction portals and term "trust" as a key attribute of e-commerce. The practical part is based on analyse of principles and instruments of eBay API and create an application based on this interface. The thesis is quite detailed and complex material that would provide a basic overview of e-commerce and as a kind guide introduces reader to the eBay API interface issues and provide support in the first steps with this comprehensive tool for developing applications based on technologies of eBay.
The influence of a tour guide personality to the tourists satisfaction

The main objective of this work was to determine through analysis the influence of a tour guide personality to the tourists satisfaction with tourism product. The secondary objective was to determine with field research the actual quality of tour guides work and to suggest some steps to improve this quality. At the beginning of this work was studying literature and writing literature review. Then the field research was carried out. Thanks to analysis and field research, it was concluded that tour guide is one of the most important factors influencing satisfaction of tourists. Proposals of steps improving the detected quality of tour guides work were submitted and the manual for preparation of tour guides was compiled.

New England's cultural and historical guide

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to create a well-arranged guide to New England, the northeastern part of the United States of America. The thesis is divided into six main sections. Each section is further divided into a historical summary and a part about a dominating feature of each state of New England. The first chapter describes the history of Massachusetts and takes a closer look at the capital city, Boston. The second section is about the state of Connecticut and about a few historical cities lying on its coast. The next part is about the state of Rhode Island and its main natural feature, the Narragansett Bay. The fourth section informs about the state of New Hampshire. The fifth chapter describes the history of Vermont and mainly deals with the production of maple syrup. And finally, the last part gives information about the state of Maine and the lighthouses of Maine, its dominating feature.
Analysis of demand for a city guide service

The target of the task will be the analysis of tourists` and visitors` demands for guide services. The research will be carried out in towns -- Jindřichův Hradec, Slavonice and in another chosen town by the method of personal oral interview. The result will be formed into the analysis of demanding and using guide services by tourists and the analysis could be used by the organizations, which offer these facilities.
