Support for XML in Microsoft SQL Server 2008
Bábíčková, Radka ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on XML and related technologies. The XML language is directly linked to the databases and its support in databases. The overview of the XML support provided by various database products and systems are presented in this work. Support in the MS SQL Server 2008 is discussed in more detail starting with the mapping of relational data to XML and vice versa to support of the XML data type and work with it through XQuery. Also some indexing techniques are briefly presented. Finally, the support in MS SQL Server 2008 is demonstrated by means of a sample application, which verifes the theoretical knowledge in practice.
Information System for Restaurants and Bars
Mašlaň, Petr ; Weiss, Petr (referee) ; Burgetová, Ivana (advisor)
The aim of this work is to study methods for requirement determination and specification methods to create information system on the .NET platform which will be specialized for restaurant and bar establishments. The information system will be therefore process and archive informations about condition of goods, employee's schedule of working shifts, summary of incomes and expenses and book of norms.
Study of User Interface for Identifiaction of Meals
Kratochvílová, Marie ; Kajan, Rudolf (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis describes the development of mobile application for Windows Phone . Application is focused on choice of meals and identification of meals . The work contains description the different stages of development , starting with analysis of existing applications , specification of the customer requirements and design prototype inteface and finally to its implementation and testing . The work describes the choice of technology for the implementation . Result of my work is an elegant , fast and intuitive application .
User Interface for Monitoring and Control of Visitors
Nosek, Petr ; Žák, Pavel (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This document contains a description of a design and implementation of a user interface for monitoring and control of visitors. Information about incoming visitors and assigned guest cards are recorded in this electronic evidence. Guest card allows a user free movement inside the object. Receptionist has always a summary of current visitors and the length of their stays. In the document there are also mentioned techniques and procedures which speeded up program development and  reduced number of errors.
Usage of Design Patterns in Software Development
Volf, Jiří ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
The objective of my MSc Thesis was to map over reasons, why are design patterns so popular in the modern information systems and other applications development. It is considering with the basic aspects of object-oriented systems, expounds the importance and structure of design patterns. The explication is followed by categorization of design patterns and in more detail is focused on the most frequently used design patterns including their contribution or complications, which could eventually occur. The advantages of design with design patterns are demonstrated on practical example of database application.
Využití formátu XBRL pro analýzu účetních dat
Šťastný, Daniel ; Kosek, Jiří (advisor) ; Hendl, Petr (referee)
This thesis demonstrates the use of XML (eXtensible Markup Language) instance documents based on XBRL taxonomy (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) for financial statement analysis. It illustrates how XBRL could change data workflow in order to decrease the costs of maintaining, reporting and analyzing financial data. The practical output is a software extension of MS Excel that can read and analyze online XBRL documents prepared as HTML with embedded XBRL. The theoretical part comprises an explanation of the technical background XBRL and important data workflows related to financial analysis and reporting financial data.
LINQ technology
ČERNÝ, Ondřej
Purpose of this thesis is to overview unified programming model LINQ and its application in C#. It examines effects of LINQ utilization on conventional methods used while working with data in object oriented programming. Major part of this thesis discuss the implementation of LINQ to SQL, however basic information about all the significant methods are also included. Furthermore, it is engaged in development of C# applications using LINQ and may also serve as a learning guide, containing all vital facts about LINQ, its syntax, and its advantages compared to classic principles of data handling.
Development Temper of ASP.NET and AJAX technology
Ježek, David ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Skoupý, Radek (referee)
This work is focused on programming technology ASP.NET. Nowadays it's one of the most spread technologies in web development. I will explain what exactly ASP.NET is in firs part. There is two smaller parts aimed on technologies LINQ and Silverlight as two major contributions in ASP.NET 3.5. In main part I will concentrate on AJAX technology, it's conception, use and I will bring closer to the readers the way how this technology is integrated in ASP.NET 3.5 as a ASP.NET AJAX. The goal of this work is approximation of present development temper, AJAX technology, to less experienced programmers. Reading this work should awake their willingness of using AJAX on their web aplications and convince them to search for other information.
ASP.NET 3.5 Web Application – Training Diary
Drábik, Dušan ; Skoupý, Radek (advisor) ; Oliva, Petr (referee)
Training diary iSport is a unique web application which allows athletes to keep track of their performances. Functions and user-friendly interface makes the application acceptable even for non-professional users and avocational sportsman. In addition to performance records, the application can also store physical attribute data for individual users. iSport uses the most up-to-date version of Microsoft's ASP.NET framework -- the 3.5 SP1 version. The application takes advantage of such technologies as LINQ to SQL, DynamicData, AJAX, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, ASP.NET Master Pages or ASP.NET Themes. In this thesis, you will find a short introduction to using training diary, user guide to iSport and report on technologies that are used by the iSport application.
Use of LINQ technology
Fexa, Marek ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Jelínek, Pavel (referee)
This work is focused at new Microsoft technology for querying data LINQ (Language intergrated query). It is built as complex technology, it allows working with various data sources. For example it contains collections of objects, created for temporary storing data in memory, but also data in robust database systems. In first part of this work I describe how data was queried before LINQ was on scene and what reasons made LINQ originate. Then I analyze new features in C# that were prerequisites for creating language integrated query as part of base libraries. Next part focuses at query operators, their interfaces and provides examples of use. Then I describe LINQ technology in complex, I create and describe in detail process of execution of LINQ query. Next chapter describes querying ADO.NET Datasets. Practical examples are created for both typed and untyped Datasets. In following chapter I analyze LINQ to SQL functionality. There is described method of implementation, mainly translation LINQ query to SQL language, integrated object rational mapping tool, change tracking in mapped objects including concurrency problems. At the end of the chapter I sketch the future in data access in ADO.NET entities. In last but one chapter is created complex application of use LINQ technology. Application is built as thin client that uses LINQ as for reading and manipulating data from relational database. In the application is LINQ also used common work with component that presents data. At the end part of this work is LINQ technology summarized. Contribution and pitfalls of LINQ technology are also described.
