Differential diagnosis of dyspnoea in the prehospital emergency care
JENÍČEK, Petr
The bachelor work is devoted to the topic of differential diagnostics of dyspnoea in prehospital emergency care. The issue of dyspnoea is still very relevant because of number of diseases causing it. The theoretical part of this bachelor work contains basic information about terms of dyspnoea, differential diagnostics and examination methods with regard to the dyspnoea. The most often incidence of dyspnoea is generally associated with cardiac and pulmonic diseases. There are also described additional diseases caused by other reasons, i.e. the carbon monoxide intoxication, anemia or hyperventilation, which are often occurred in prehospital emergency care and therefore could be difficult to distinguish from the pulmonic dyspnoea. In particular for paramedics, distinguishing the cardiac or pulmonic dyspnoea from the dyspnoea caused by other reason could be difficult. The examination methods in prehospital emergency care currently available for paramedics are very limited, which can make the fieldwork diagnostic of dyspnoea more difficult. The research was realized by the standardized half-structured interviews with the paramedics working at Emergency service of South Bohemian region. The surveyed group was composed of 14 respondents from all regional centers of Emergency service of South Bohemian region. Selected respondents were at all age categories varying in the length of the praxis at the emergency service, educational background and also in the composition of ambulance crew. The respondents answered 20 prepared questions regarding the knowledge and experience with dyspnoea. The research was aimed to the knowledge of paramedics in the field of differential diagnostics of dyspnoea in prehospital care and also to the difficulty of determination of working diagnosis based on examination methods available for paramedics in prehospital emergency care. Results of the research were summed up into the tables and consequent results are included in the discussion. The first goal of the research was to monitor the knowledge of paramedical staff about differential diagnostics of dyspnoea in prehospital emergency care. The second goal is aimed to monitoring the difficulty of working diagnosis assessment of dyspnoea associated with possibilities of diagnostics in prehospital emergency care. Two experimental questions were elected for research. The first question is dealing with the enough knowledge of paramedics for correct differential diagnosis of dyspnoea in patients in prehospital emergency care. The second experimental question is addressed to the dyspnoea, diagnostics possibility in prehospital emergency care for paramedics and whether it is complicated symptom for working diagnosis assessment. Based on interviews results, the insufficient knowledge of paramedics in most cases of dyspnoea are evident. Paramedics with university degree are more educated in this field. The big lack of knowledge related to dyspnoea lies also in the education of paramedics in the Emergency service of South Bohemian region. Respondents also mentioned the absence of primarily focused course on dyspnoea. The theme is obviously discussed during the course of Emergency service of South Bohemian region only in connection with another theme. Therefore, the big lack of necessary information is obvious. Regarding the insufficient education of paramedics the problem of wrong dyspnoea diagnostics in prehospital emergency care could be closely related. Commonly, paramedics treat cardiac and pulmonic dyspnoea. However, research results emphasize the problems with working diagnosis assessment, necessary for subsequent treatment and targeting the patient. Concerning the gravity of some diseases causing dyspnoea, the incorrect diagnostics could be fatal for patient.

Degrees of semantic similarity between Dutch and Czech idioms containing the word "water"
Hlaváčková, Pavla ; Hrnčířová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Bittnerová, Dana (referee)
The aim of the thesis (titled Degrees of Semantic Similarity between Dutch and Czech Idioms Containing the Woord water) is to compare Dutch idioms containing the words water andfish with Czech idioms. The thesis was written taking a contrastive approach. In the introductory part we focus on varlOUS approaches to idiomatics and phraseology, with special regard to the Czech and Dutch contexts. Different theories of this field are being compared. Furthermore, the methodology is being determined, which is later used in the applied part of the thesis. Apart from focusing on purely linguistic views we also concentrate on the assessment of extralinguistic influences, which are of considerable importance for this topic within the Dutch context. We also address the influence of sociological factors on the knowledge of idoms. For the purposes of the applied part of the thesis a specific corpus containing idioms with the words water and fish has been compiled. The units of the corpus have then been analyzed from the point of view of syntax and semantics. On the basis of the corpus the rate of equivalence of the Czech and Dutch idioms has been examined and possible translations have been included. We also focus on the potentia1 influence of the geographical and cultural environment on language and we examine the...

Program of the house "Fatima" and its influence on the quality of life of tetraplegic
VLACHOVÁ, Olga
The Bachelor{\crq}s Degree thesis on the subject of the Fatima House Project and its influence on the quality of life of quadriplegics addresses the serious contemporary problem of spinal injuries and the subsequent quadriplegia that causes qualitative changes in the life of the impacted person. The work is divided into two main parts {--} theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part is further divided in several thematic sections. The first section, which described spinal injuries, all of the changes in the health condition of the patient and the complications they experience, is followed by a section that emphasises the importance and goals of comprehensive rehabilitation. The third part of the work addresses the issue of the social security afforded to quadriplegics in the Czech Republic. The next part focuses on the psychological problems that quadriplegics face and possible ways of dealing with quadriplegia as a burden and the related process of coming to terms with this condition. The penultimate chapter is devoted to quality of life and the ways it is measured and evaluated. The final section of the theoretical part describes the Fatima Centre for People with Physical Handicaps and its programs focused on the social rehabilitation of people with spinal injuries. The empirical part of the work contains the author{\crq}s own research, the goal of which is to determine whether the Fatima House program impacts the quality of life experienced by quadriplegics. The research utilized the method of observation, the SEIQoL method for measuring the quality of life and an analysis of data from Fatima House working materials. The research was conducted with four clients from the house, each for a six-month interval. The research results showed that the Fatima House program has a positive influence on the quality of life experienced by quadriplegics. The quality of life of the majority of respondents increased after being in the program for six months. In conclusion it can be stated that the Bachelor{\crq}s Degree thesis fulfilled the goal of pointing out the seriousness of spinal injuries and subsequent quadriplegia and, in particular, demonstrating the impact the Fatima House program has on the quality of life of quadriplegics.

Faculty of Law; Department of Commercial Law. - The Doctor Study Programme: the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). - Prague : Law Faculty, Charles University, 2010. 179 pages. The thesis seeks to examine the legal regulation of shares of joint stock companies. These shares are the subject matter of legal relationships that arise within civil law in particular. This thesis provides an overview and comparison of Czech and Slovak law governing shares and joint stock companies. Such legal regulations mainly stem from the Commercial Code, the Czech Act on Take-Over Offers, and the Czech Act on Changes to Companies and Cooperatives, Act on Securities, or the Czech Act on Entrepreneurship on Capital Markets. In the thesis I hope to offer a complex collection of opinions from Czech and Slovak jurisprudence authorities on selected provisions of the Commercial Code relating to joint stock companies. The thesis is divided into seven sections. The first section is dedicated to the general legal regulation of shares. The second one deals with the existence of issued shares and describes the various changes to the shares. The third section addresses only the...

Title: Fluid-structure interaction of compressible flow Author: RNDr. Jaroslava Hasnedlová Department: Department of Numerical Mathematics, Institute of Applied Mathematics Supervisors: Prof. RNDr. Miloslav Feistauer, DrSc., Dr. h. c., Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Rolf Rannacher Supervisors' e-mail addresses: feist@karlin.mff.cuni.cz, rannacher@iwr.uni-heidelberg.de Abstract: The presented work is split into two parts. The first part is devoted to the theory of the discontinuous Galerkin finite element (DGFE) method for the space-time discretization of a nonstationary convection-diffusion initial-boundary value problem with nonlinear convection and linear diffusion. The DGFE method is applied sep- arately in space and time using, in general, different space grids on different time levels and different polynomial degrees p and q in space and time discretization. The main result is the proof of error estimates in L2 (L2 )-norm and in DG-norm formed by the L2 (H1 )-seminorm and penalty terms. The second part of the thesis deals with the realization of fluid-structure interaction problem of the compressible viscous flow with the elastic structure. The time-dependence of the domain occupied by the fluid is treated by the ALE (Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian) method, when the compress- ible Navier-Stokes equations are formulated in...

Theoretical basis of the Šik's reform
Syřišťová, Adéla ; Szobi, Pavel (advisor) ; Stellner, František (referee)
The main focus of this thesis are the economic-theoretical concepts, which in varying degrees contributed to the creation of an official government program of economic reforms in the sixties of the 20th century in Czechoslovakia. The work will mainly analyze the causes of success Šikova reform movement among economists and the Czechoslovak Communist Party leadership. The first part of the study will address the reorientation of foreign trade and economy of Czechoslovakia to the Soviet Union and its satellite countries, as well as the importance of CSR for the functioning of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance in the fifties. Briefly mentioned is the first attempt at economic reform led by Kurt Rozsypal issues and other proposals for changes in central planning. The crucial part of this work will be devoted to the theoretical designs and directions, which created the preconditions for the implementation of specific economic reforms in the sixties. The treatment of the topic study should answer the questions: What were the other economic programs and their leaders? These protagonists could significantly affect the program or not?

Changing Autonomy in times of PT: Explaining the rise and fall of the Southern Giant
Stipic, Igor ; Gotz Betancourt, Shirley (advisor) ; Zajíček, Miroslav (referee)
The objective of this thesis is to analyze the concept of autonomy, taking as the case study Brazil under the Workers Party Government (2003-2016). Approach that will be taken aims at combining perspectives of Latin-American structuralism with those of realism and interdependency. Thesis essentially concentrates on two specific issue areas: global economy and international politics. By constructing a theoretical framework, I aspire to identify and analyze various factors considered to have a direct impact on the study matter. In doing so, I consider the behavior of distinct variables and their effect on the degree of autonomy. Finally, thesis addresses problems of international insertion for peripheral countries, considering possibilities and limits of truly autonomous action.
