Becoming a doctor from the viewpoint of anthropologist
Rebendová, Eva ; Halbich, Marek (advisor) ; Hrešanová, Ema (referee)
This paper is about a process of a nascency of new doctors, and how it is possible to approach this topic from the viewpoint of social anthropologist. As a starting point, I use actor-network theory, which is one of the social science paradigms focusing on materiality. I consider it (on the basis of work by Bruno Latour and other scholars, who are dealing with this field), to be a remarkable actor in matters connected with human action, and thus an appropriate subject for an anthropological inquiry. Since the topic concerns medicine in the Czech Republic nowadays, I contribute to the knowledge of medical anthropology, which does not have such a strong academic base here as in the Anglo-Saxon world. Special attention is dedicated to a detailed description of activities leading to the formation of the text of this thesis. Reflexivity, on which I put emphasis, shall serve as the foundation of the context of genesis of an anthropological knowledge and also to describe the ethical concerns of the research. The main methods are observation and semi-structured in-depth interviews with twelve informants, who were medicine students or medicine faculty graduates.

Analýza rakouské teorie hospodářského cyklu z pohledu komplexní ekonomie
Lanzafame, Alessandra ; Bernat, Lukáš (advisor) ; Pavlík, Ján (referee)
This thesis analyzes the Austrian business cycle theory (ABCT) from the Complexity Economics approach. Complexity Economics is an approach which comes from the complexity science. It has started to develop since 1980s' in Santa Fe Institute, the leading institution engaging in the research of complexity. In the thesis I mention the terms which are bound to Complexity Economics, for example emergence, the "bottom-up", self-organization, bounded rationality etc. The evolution of the markets, networks and nonlinear dynamics are included in Complexity Economics as well. Complexity Economics views an economy as a dynamical system which never reaches the equilibrium unlike the Traditional Economics approach which main focus is on the general equilibrium of the economy. Another difference would be the way of modelling economies in which Complexity Economics is leaving the unrealistic assumptions because it utilizes the agent-based simulations which enable to do that. In the thesis I also focus on the similarities between Austrian and Complexity Economics, for example the heterogeneity of the agents or the emergence of the price system. These and others similarities are then applied in the analysis of ABCT which serves as an example of demonstration that Austrian Economics could provide the theoretical framework for Complexity Economics which aspires to become a new paradigm in economics.

Návrh integrace IPv6 do počítačové sítě Mendelovy univerzity v Brně v oblasti směrování
Filip, Tomáš
This master thesis deals with integration of IPv6 network protocol into production computer network of Mendel University in Brno in the routing field. The integration includes the Dual Stack transition mechanism, IPv6 address plan, static routing at the perimeter of the university network, and OSPFv3 and MP-BGP routing protocols. Proposed integration plan was verified in the Laboratory of computer networking at the Department of Informatics at FBE MENDELU, and it serves as a template for a final implementation in the production network.

Studie krajinářských úprav v k.ú. Zbýšov
Holoubek, Tomáš
This work is focused on the study of landscaping in the selected area located in the cadastral area Zbýšov. The territory was measured using a total station. The result of this measurement was a digital terrain model, which served as the basis for concept of modification to land use, care of the existing vegetation, concept of new plantings, revitalization flow accompanying restoration and riparian vegetation, the draft measure on field way reach network, concept rest places and recreational use territory. These proposals take into account the landscape-ecological and aesthetic aspects. The work also includes an economic evaluation of the proposed modifications.

Network Repository for Performance Evaluation Results
Ondroušek, Pavel ; Kalibera, Tomáš (referee) ; Tůma, Petr (advisor)
For performance evaluation of software systems, benchmarking is used. Benchmarking generates a large amount of output data, which is necessary to store, process and evaluate it. Network Repository serves as a repository of benchmark results. The goal of the master thesis is to design and implement the data storage with a support of various result types with the possibility of the format configuration. Stored results can be processed, evaluated, or used as a source for plotting. As part of the master thesis, the design and implementation of a general framework for benchmark storage and evaluation is developed and a sample configuration for the selected benchmark result data format is established.

Jindra, Martin ; Lipková, Helena (advisor) ; Šlerka, Josef (referee)
Brand Building and Management in Social Media This present paper deals with brand activity in social media environment. Brand which has functional and also symbolic meanings serves as a link between product, service or business and (potential) customers. Brand's value is therefore influenced by a lot of factors. Recommendations are made how to work with the community and content around the brand. Assuming quality monitoring social media can bring benefits also to the brand, not just consumers. Discussed are in particular following benefits: customer care, brand tracking, evaluating advertising campaigns, getting feedback and suggestions for improvements and alert system. The mixed research explores social media listening, it monitors the three brands of Czech mobile operators and then their representatives analyze the measured data. There are also presented the actual activities of these brands in the Czech social media environment.
