Heraldic and prosopographical analysis of two armorials from the family archives of Vratislavs from Mitrovice. With edition
Jeránková, Martina ; Hlaváček, Ivan (advisor) ; Ryantová, Marie (referee) ; Krejčík, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis focuses on scientifical elaboration of two heraldical manuscripts from the Vratislavs from Mirtrovice family archives in the village Dírná (Soběslav region). According to the village name, the manuscrips are known as the Armorials from Dírná in the profesional literature. They were laid aside a little bit because their existence was known only to a relatively narrow circle of specialists as they were kept far away from the research centres. Both books had never been observed in ligt of authorship, datation or analysis of their content. We are speaking about two paper manuscripts, inventary No. 56, sign. I B 9 and No. 58 sign. I B 10. They comprise 984 and 1358 painted coats-of-arms including name of the family beneath each picture. The codicological analysis enabled to identify authors of both armorials, i. e. Kryštof Vilém Harant from Polžice and Bezdružice (1617-1690) and Václav Ignác Vratislav from Mitrovice (1645-1728) and the epoque of their creation in the 1670's and 1680's. Further research proved the necessity of creating an electronical databases that enabled to work effectively with immense volume of data. Analysis of the content of armorials showed that they contain 961 family coats-of-arms. Those represent from the two thirds Czech noble families, the rest is aproximately in the same...

International relations of the Czechoslovak (Czech) archives after 1918 up to the present
Simkovičová, Jana ; Ebelová, Ivana (advisor) ; Linhartová, Lenka (referee)
The objective of this thesis is to cover the development of international relations of the Czechoslovak and Czech archival science after 1918 up to this day. The international relations primarily stand for the forms of cooperation under the patronage of full statehood, the support on the part of official authority and also scientific institutions. Likewise, the Czech archivists' research at the external archives has been taken into account. It was initiated more intensively in connection with the constitution of our archival administration after 1954. Being a part of the thesis, the overview of official journeys was compiled on the basis of our archivists' reports from the official trips. These reports create a part of the register office that belongs to the Department of the Archives Administration at the Ministry of the Interior. Although the international relations have to all intents and purposes begun to develop aťter 1945. this thesis also includes chapters dealing with the Czechoslovak archival science development after 1918 and the restitutional proceeding in the sphere of archival science after the World War I and World War II. A separate chapter is dedicated to the archives and records disjuncture within the context of the end of the federation in 1993. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Relativistic Theory of Electron Transport in Magnetic Layers
Sýkora, Rudolf ; Turek, Ilja (advisor) ; Šob, Mojmír (referee) ; Drchal, Václav (referee)
Title: Relativistic Theory of Electron Transport in Magnetic Layers Author: Rudolf Sýkora Department / Institute: Institude of Theoretical Physics Supervisor of the doctoral thesis: doc. RNDr. Ilja Turek, DrSc., Department of Condensed Matter Physics Abstract: We review the density-functional theory (DFT) in detail using the Levy Lieb ap- proach. The Kohn Sham scheme is discussed, starting from the simplest spinless non- relativistic case, then including spin and considering potential spin magnetism, and finally deriv- ing the full Kohn Sham Dirac relativistic scheme. The Linear Muffin-Tin Orbital (LMTO) method for electronic-structure calculation is presented, together with mentioning the necessary changes to include the spin-orbit (SO) interaction effects to an otherwise scalar-relativistic (SR) theory. Derivation of an electronic-conductance formula for a layered system is given, based on the Landauer scattering picture and using simple non-equilibrium Green functions. The formal- ism is applied to layered metallic systems of light elements Co, Ni, Cu elements, and to layered systems with a tunnelling barrier, Fe/MgO/Ag and Fe/GaAs/Ag. The effects of the SO interac- tion on the Giant Magnetoresistance (GMR) ratio and/or the Tunnelling Anisotropy Magnetore- sistance (TAMR) for these systems are discussed....

Optical spectroscopy of magnetic nanostructures
Lišková, Eva
Title: Optical spectroscopyof magnetic nanostructures Author: Eva Liskova Department: Fyzikalni Ostav Univerzity Karlovy Supervisor: Prof. Ing. Stefan Visnovsky, DrSc. Supervisor's e-mail address: visnov@karlov.mff,cuni.cz Abstract: Magnetic oxide nanostructures of La2/3Sri/3Mn03, BixYi.xFe5012 and Fe304 were investigated using magneto-optical reflection spectroscopic ellipsometry in the photon energy range between 1 and 5 eV. The samples were grown using MBE (Molecular Beam Epitaxy) and PLD (Pulsed Laser Deposition). Their spectroscopic studies were focused to the effects of growth conditions, substrate crystallographic orientation as well as those of subsequent heat treatment in oxygen. Thanks to this selective approach, largely eliminating substrate contribution, relevant information on physical properties of the low volume samples was obtained. Note that ordinary structural and magnetic metrologies suffer of reduced sensitivity due to the dominating effect of bulky substrates. The research was motivated by practical applications of the investigated nanostructures in spin electronics, reading high density magnetic disks, in nonreciprocal optoelectronics devices, magneto-optical light modulators, and megnetophotonic crystals. In addition, the physical properties of magnetite present interest for the use...

K-means method
Hricová, Jana ; Antoch, Jaromír (advisor) ; Legát, David (referee)
Title: k-means method Author: Jana Hricová Department: Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Jaromír Antoch, CSc., Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics Abstract: This thesis deals with the statistical method k-means, which is a part of an extensive set of methods and algorithms designed for cluster analysis of data. Results of the cluster analysis are widely used in other scientific activities, but also in marketing, management or in insurance etc. Statistical methods for cluster analysis are creating clusters from analyzed datasets, which consist of similar objects. Similarity of two objects is expressed by dis-/similarity measure. The aim of this thesis was to introduce the k-means algorithm. This is a non- hierarchical method with given number of output clusters as input. We have applied this algorithm in the enviroment of mathematical software Matlab on simulated and real data and have interpreted the results using graphical and numerical outputs. Keywords: k-means, cluster analysis, dissimilarity measure, silhouette

FIVE TO TWELVE
Skružná, Pavlína ; HAVELKA, Jiří (advisor) ; CIHLÁŘ, Ondřej (referee)
This diploma thesis is a work of an actor´s graduate and deals with personal experience with functioning in a particular group. It is divided into three parts. The first part is devoted to social psychology and explains how the group and its functioning is seen by this field. In the second part, the author applies these facts on a specific group, who are her classmates of acting at the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre. The third part focuses on a psychological questionnaire of individual group members and close associates of the group. This thesis named Five to twelve has no scientific ambitions, but is rather insight into one particular group of actors, and personal reflections of the author.
