The development and current position of BRICS within the international trade, politics and investment relations

Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) are identified as key countries on the development of the world economy. The post-crisis economic situation evolves in those countries favorably than in the current world centers. The question remains, however, the long-term sustainability of this growth, which is subject to joint cooperation by countries in addressing political, trade and investment issues. The thesis, therefore, addresses the common features in these areas leading to a coherent cooperation in solving their current development and future positioning in the world economy. The thesis is structured in three chapters of the above-mentioned areas, which give us an objective view of the current position of BRICS and define common characteristics and interests of a unified collaboration to sustain their development.
The position of Russian Federation ín BRIICS

My thesis determines the current position of the Russian Federation in BRIICS and stresses the importance of Russian role in the BRIICS nations. BRIICS countries are largest emerging markets and their role in the world is increasing. I chose to compare Russia with Brazil, India, Indonesia, China and South Africa, and set prospects for cooperation within the countries.
Foreign trade of the Czech republic with the BRICS countries

This bachelor thesis deals with foreign trade of the Czech republic with countries BRICS - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. First part analyses the Czech republic from the economic point of view -- its economic development since the break up of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, its present situation and mainly foreign trade (including the most important trade partners and traded goods). In the second part the thesis defines the group of BRICS, its development and common and different features of these countries. The last third part examines economic situation of each member state of the group, their trading with the Czech republic and the direction of the development of the relations with Czech republic.
Trends in trade policy of BRICS countries and in their mutual trade

BRICS Countries belong to dynamically evolving developing countries and some of them aspire to reach the position of a new world economic power, especially since the time when the economic crises hit the world economy and developed countries were largely economically weakened by the crisis. The objective of this thesis is to identify principal trends in the trade policy of BRICS countries, especially in the mutual trade which is characterized by a specific commodity structure and to exemplify these trends on trade and trade policy of the two largest trade partners within BRICS countries - China and India.
BRIICS: Unilateral or multilateral path to political and economic growth

The main goal of this thesis is to identify position of the group BRIICS on the international arena and to determine whether the economic and political rise of concerned economies is potentially hidden in a closer multilateral cooperation or in the separate influences on the world. Moreover, this work aims to answer the question if the BRIICS countries have the potential to dictate their conditions to the international organizations and world public. It also describes the developing countries, their basic categorization and after all the fastest growing economies (emerging markets) are singled out. This paper also examines the impact of the internal social, demographic and political problems on the existence of the organization.
Global economic and political influence of Brazil on the global economy

Countries Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa represent under the acronym BRICS a group of rapidly expanding and for the future very promising world economies. Their growing influence on a wide range of areas increases their potential to become major global players in the near future. The main objective of this bachelor thesis is according to the recent development of the global economy outlined in the first chapter and the analysis of current economic and political position of BRICS anchored in the second chapter to assess the outlook on future status of this group and to create an image of the future world order. The base body of work is focused on the largest economy of Latin American region, Brazil. To underline the importance of Brazil on the world stage, the third chapter emphasis on its role in international trade and activity in international organizations.
South Africa's Entry to the BRICS

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the economy of South Africa with the economies of the BRIC countries and to analyze the main areas of common interest of the group established after South Africa's entry to the BRICS. The text is divided into three chapters. First one provides a brief overview of the development of BRICS, form defining the term BRIC to South Africa's acceptance into this group. Second chapter compares the economic situation in South Africa with the situation of other BRICS member countries, specifically GDP development, fiscal and monetary stability and position in international economic relations. Third chapter analyzes four main areas of cooperation of BRICS, namely the reform of some international institutions, strengthening mutual economic relations, sustainable development issues and maintaining peace and global security.
The road of Brazil to the BRICS countries: present situation and perspectives

This thesis aims to describe the evolution of Brazil until the present day, with emphasis on the second half of the last century and the first decade of this century. Its second objective is to introduce the immense potential within the BRICS countries that resides in their cooperation and willingness to change the current power structure of the world, dominated for so long by the west. In this thesis Brazil is being compared to Russia, China, India and South Africa. These countries are also being compared to some of the important western states. The thesis describes strengths and weaknesses of Brazil and the BRICS group. It also tries to predict the future evolution of these countries and different obstacles that can occur on their way to the awaited prosperity, from internal social unrests to global conflicts.

Economic globalization (with focus on economic growth in BRICs)

Main goal of this study is to objectively describe the ongoing economic globalization. First chapter describes main attributes and some of the factors which cause globalization. Study shows some of the latest statistics from World Bank. Big focus is devoted to some effects of globalization like decreasing poverty, raising inequality, emergence of worldwide capital markets, increased importance of multinational corporations, or how globalization positively affects economic growth. Study also describes uncertain future of globalization, which is caused by ongoing economic crisis. The focus of this study is put on the economic development in the BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India and China). These four countries are described as examples of the mentioned effects of globalization.
