Major trauma in trauma centtre of the University Hospital Královské Vinohrady in years 2003-2004
Fuxová, Alice ; Pachl, Jan (advisor)
According to the World Health Organization (WHO ) in 2000 dying each year more Over five million people resulting in injury. This number accounts for approximately 10 % of the total death . Trauma is the leading cause of death of the population under the age of forty years. Approximately half of the deaths due to trauma occur in the population between 15-44 years . The incidence of fatal injury increases - WHO estimates that in 2010, the injury cause of death in up to 8.4 million people. As a result of trauma , both death and serious , persistent morbidity . In the case of survival injured have many traumas result in reduced work productivity , deterioration life , subsequent reduction of socio-economic status and application ; their treatment then also represents a significant cost to the healthcare system. In economic terms are trauma main cause of reduced labor productivity in the world and in this sphere have results in more losses than heart diseases and cancer

Framework for teaching Database Management Systems on VŠE Praha
Turčín, Pavel ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Palovská, Helena (referee)
This thesis focuses on design and subsequent realization of e-learning support for the database management systems course. The first step is definition of the e-learning itself as well as other related concepts. Following part analyzes current status of teaching and evaluating students' knowledge and other possible ways to do so without changing the basic course frame defined by the given syllabus. A list of requirements on the software framework is made on basis of this analysis. These requirements are technical (demanded functionality) and economical (costs of installation and maintenance). The most suitable e-learning system is chosen according to these requirements. The chosen system unfortunately does not fulfill all specified requirements and software witch does, is not available. In this case the following step is design and realization of such software. At first are all requirements specified in detail. The software solution is designed as three independently usable applications: Exercise client, Test client and Administrator. Software is implemented in C# programming language. Whole process of implementation is divided into three increments witch corresponds with projected applications. Every increment adds new functionality to existing solution and the output of every increment is fully usable component.

Jazyk pro rekonfiguraci runtime infrastruktury komponentových systémů
Malohlava, M. ; Bureš, Tomáš
A component system is not only composed of a model but also of an execution environment which is able to instantiate components described by the model. However, the execution environment reflecting a complex component model and its changes at runtime is a non-trivial and error-prone application. Hence it is beneficial to simplify and conceptualize the execution environment by having a simple way of describing component compositions and reconfigurations. In this paper we propose a minimalistic language which describes the composition of the component-based system’s infrastructure in a procedural way and thus reduces the execution environment basically to a simple language interpreter.

Information System Efectiveness Assessment and Proposal for ICT Modification
Karmazin, Alexandr ; Štepník, Štefan (referee) ; Neuwirth, Bernard (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of a suitable complement to the existing information system of the company. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts in information systems and describes the analysis, which are in the next section used to assess the current state of the company and information system. The result is a module implementable in to the current IS of the company that will increase productivity and reduce costs.

Double dividend theory and environmental tax reform
Duben, Josef ; Pavel, Jan (advisor)
This work describes the double dividend theory and environmental tax reform. The theory claims that we can reach the improvement of the environment and reduce the costs of the tax system and therefore decrease the unemployment. We can manage this if we return the revenue of environmental taxes through cuts in distortionary taxes. The first chapter describes theoretical background and the following chapters present models.

Distributed Behavior Protocol Checker
Poch, Tomáš ; Adámek, Jiří (referee) ; Kofroň, Jan (advisor)
Growth of the computability power in the last years enabled practical use of model checking of software systems. However the state space explosion is still a burning problem that limits usage of this technique to the relatively small tasks. One of the approaches that significantly decrease state space of the task is Behavior Protocol [1]. Behavior protocol is regular language that describes behavior of software component so that component implementation details are hidden during checking of whole application - what is reduced to the checking whether behavior protocols of used components are compliant. However even checking of behavior protocols compliance faces the exponential growth of number of states. Distributed state space traversing together with 'on the fly' state space generation [2] can be used to improve both time and space requirements.

Causes and consequences of the existence of "freeters" in Japanese society
Klička, Petr ; Tirala, Martin (referee) ; Sýkora, Jan (advisor)
In this thesis I focus on the causes and consequences of the existence of freeters in current Japanese society. In the first chapter I define freeters, analyze their position on the labour market and describe the historical background of their existence. In the second chapter I concentrate on major reasons of their existence from the point of view of freeters (unwillingness to work as standard employees), companies (cost-reducing) and the labour recruitment system (specific job-hunting customs). I also consider how the existence of freeters affects working conditions of standard employees. In the third chapter I analyze the main social and demographic consequences of the existence of freeters for Japanese society through statistical data of the Japanese Ministry on Labour (MLHW).

The Study of Optimalization Process Supply in Company
Podaná, Hana ; Mihalisko,, Marek (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
This work has been devoted to tailoring of inventory management model for a selected material group within company Tyco Electronics Czech, s.r.o. It focuses on free area of purchasing, i.e. planning of purchases, material procurement and inventory management. This work analyses most painful problems and suggests walls how to overcome those problems. The main contribution of the work lies in material cost reduction and consequent volume reduction of capitalized inventories. Production down times based on the lack of packaging materials should be also reduced.

Government concept of the fight against corruption from 1999 to the present
Doležalová, Dominika ; Dvořáková, Vladimíra (advisor) ; Vymětal, Petr (referee)
This thesis is dedicated to government anti-corruption struggle in the period from 1999 to present. The key objective is to evaluate which of the measures specified in the government policies were fulfilled and if they have a real impact on reducing the scope for corruption. The theoretical part explains the concept of corruption and the basis of the various typologies of this concept. Following the demarcation of motives for corrupt behavior and the costs associated with this behavior, then I allude to various ways of measuring corruption used in the Czech environment. Next chapter focuses on the definition of corruption from the perspective of criminal law whereas links to crimes with signs of corruption. In the practical part are incorporated findings from previous chapters to evaluate the government's anti-corruption policies within a specified period. The conclusion analyzes the nuanced measures which government has overlooked and also assesses the priorities of particular parts of Anti-Corruption Barometer, which are not sufficiently applied in the Czech Republic.

Purchase and implementation of the Q-Andoni at Škoda Auto joint-stock company
Kellerová, Karolína Melita ; Zelená, Veronika (advisor) ; Váchová, Lucie (referee)
This Bachelor thesis follows up the description of a shopping process in chosen company Škoda Auto joint-stock company and following proposal to raise effectivity, reduce costs and workers loads and finding a way to save money. The theoretical part follows up interpretation of various concepts from the area of purchasing and lean management. The practical part of the thesis follows up the introduction of Škoda Auto joint-stock company and it is being focused on purchasing department and its process, methods and the system usage habits. For better imagination will be the process described and illustrated on test case which concerns purchasing and implementation of Q-Andon system. The Q-Andon system belongs to the area of downsizing production. At the end, I added a recommendation to improve present process to increase effectivity and save more money.
