Powertrain of in-line five-cylinder diesel engine
Zarambukas, Michalis ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this graduation theses is geometrical and thermodynamic calculation of determined five-cylinder diesel engine and calculation of operation parameters of cylindrical unit and then to compare them with real motor and strike the balance. Other step is to work out thermodynamic cycle and draw the result in p-V diagram. Then to calculate power, effecting on piston which includes proposal of basic proportion of piston and wrist pin, and it follows weigh of piston group and maximal quickening and inertial force of piston group, calculation of specific pressure and pressure in wrist pin. Other purpose is to determine basic proportion for piston rod and to focus on material qualities of con rod eye and bronze case, determination of maximal pressure due to inertial forces comming from gas pressure and security against possible slip and tiredness. At the beginning is described diesel engine from its foundation, its activity to its use in company. At the close are reviewed the results of the calculations.
Piston for 43kW 4-stroke SI-engine
Vaculík, Tomáš ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor’s work describes a calculational project and design solution of a piston for 43 kW power output, four-stroke petrol engine and depicts basic sizes of this engine. The piston was constructed to be able to work in hard conditions that the piston faces in the combustion area. An important part of my thesis is the piston calculation of its resistancy by which we verify corectness of suggested sizes of the piston.

Bittner, Ivo ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
Formula SAE Technical Solutions except in Countries Except USA. Bachelor's work of bachelor's studies of 3rd year. Academic year 2008/2009, study group 3B/31. Brno university of Technology, Faculty of mechanical engineering (BUT FME), institute of automotive and traffic engineering, department of Transportation and Manipulation device. November 2008. This project which has been elaborated in frame of bachelor’s studies department of Automotive engineering is submitting the project of Technical sollutions Formule Student in the country except for USA. Filling work is elaborate summary of most important technical recipes and contextual technical solution contemporary competition vehicles, show in accessible example solution important constructional part, express to possibilities usage engineering admission on vehicle development, including measurement and testing, prepare accessible summary of constructional solving distinguished racing teams
Design Solutions of Recent Road Motorcycles above 500ccm
Vaculík, František ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
Subject of this project is current knowledge summary in construction of road motorcycles with displacement above 500 ccm. Project is divided to particular construction units as an engine, transmission system, frame and wheels suspension, brake system, electrical equipment and other components. In each unit is an analyse of possible technical solutions, their advantages, disadvantages and materials used in production. In the conclusion of the project is comparison of three different motorcycles manufacturers and their technical solutions.
Piston for 147kW 4-stroke SI-engine
Hejda, Tomáš ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of piston for 147 kW 4-stroke SI-engine, which is used in Octavie 2,0 TFSi RS. The work is focused to main dimensions of the piston, to make it able to work in difficult, temperature and strength conditions as exposed to in its lifetime. One of the most important part of design this piston is strength calculation.
CI-engines for Army Purposes
Šebesta, Radek ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with utilization of compression-ignition engine in army purposes, especially in army vehicles . It aims to motors of military and special vehicles as are armoured vehicles or tanks and gives view of features about motors and exigencies which must fullfils usage in specific conditions. Thesis describes problematics of operating and maintanance CI - engines and negative effects which appear in battle contidionts. It gives notice about curing methods each parts of engine and about systems which supports engine working and classifies exemplifications of differences distinct from ordinary motors, common uses in civil cars. Creates view on problematics of positioning and constructional solution of motor space inside vehicle. It brings basic informations about oil fuels used in army and its requierements. Objective of this thesis is disclosure of information about specific features and standards of motors intended for army purposes.
Powertrain of in-line three-cylinder diesel engine
Riemel, Pavel ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
Objective of bachelor’s thesis is for main predetermined geometric, thermodynamic and operation parameters cylindrical unit of line three-cylinder compression-ignition engine perform calculation of thermodynamic cycle, project basic dimensions of piston group and for noted operating modes perform strength check of con rod eye. Resulting values compare with comparable compression-ignition engine and verify its appropriate functionality. In preamble of work is mentioned compression-ignition engine, its basic usage, principle of function and description its main parts. The work is compound of two basic parts. The first contains description of calculation with related graphic and the second calculating supplement in which are calculations of thermodynamic cycle, forces reacting on piston group, strength calculation and control of con rod eye. At the close results of calculation are analysed.
Aero Engines for Aircraft up to 2000 kg
Loutocký, Jiří ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Juračka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor project was created like database of certified aircraft engines for aircraft with 450 - 2000 kg of weight. It is divide into four parts. Each part contains another conception of comparison. First part comprises of list of worldwide successful manufacturers and their products. Second part ranks engines by type of fuel transfer to combustion chamber and charge pressure. Third part compares engines with similar power in tables and in graphs. (Class 100, 200 and 300 horse power). Last part solves selection of most optimal engine in classes 100, 200 and 300 horse power.
The present state and development trends of engines for motorcycles
Suk, Jakub ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Rauscher, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor work is work up survey of constructional solving, wattage and economic parameters of motors. Summary contemporary state will effected tabular and graphic form. Lastly will mentioned main evolutionary tendency.
Historical Overwiev of F1 Chassis and Engines Evolution
Hrudík, Jan ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the overwiev of main periods in the area of race car construction development. In the first chapter, main attention is dedicated to Formula One cars, attending races since 1950. In spite of this, there is briefly noted the technological development before FIA Formula One Championship. Next chapter is dealing with technical restrictions and regulations restraining construction of Formula One car. Data are situated in the table, ascending sequenced according to the year. Next part refers to the actual Fia Formula One Championship season 2008. There is abstract of technical regulations and the list of actual Formula One teams, their cars and drivers. There is some pages acting with one of the Formula One team. In the last chapter some of technological experiments are presented.
