Simulation of data transmission latency between nodes in IP networks
Balej, Jiří ; Molnár, Karol (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on the delays incurred in data transmitting over IP networks. The top of the paper is devoted to points, where delay is invoked and causes of the latency. For individual sources of delay are are described the parameters that affect the usual size of latency. The next section describes the types of networks and their typical delay. In the paper are also discussed tools for measuring delay and determining the number of intermediate devices. The thesis contains results of measurements delay time in the real network. For these results are listed conclusions about the delay for one intermediate device. There is also said general ratio of crow-fly distance and calculated distance. The last part deals the simulation of delay in the NS2 program. The results of thesis are scripts that shows the relation of delay and the number of switches, routers, and the length of the path.

Adaptive controllers with principles of artificial intelligence
Pitra, Michal ; Malounek, Petr (referee) ; Pivoňka, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on an adaptive control, especially in a self-tuning controller area. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part deals with identification methods of the adaptive control. The recursive least squares algorithm and the neural network method are the most popular identification methods. These methods are contrasted and the identification quality evaluation is done. The second part compares various types of the adaptive controllers with a non-adjustable PSD controller. The adaptive controllers are investigated from the various identification method point of view. The user graphic interface was realized for the identification and regulatory part. The time behavior of system responses after incoming disturbance and dynamic process changes during simulation systems control is compared with a physical model connected to B&R PLC. The comparison is done with the application of Matlab/Simulink program.

Transport fosforu v říční síti podhorského povodí se smíšeným využitím uzemí (povodí Malše, ČR)
Turek, Jan ; Hejzlar, Josef ; Žaloudík, Jiří
Phosphorus sources and transport in the river network were evaluated for a medium size (437 km2), upland catchment with mixed land use (forests, farmland, urban) located in South Bohemia during 1999-2003. Dissolved P concentrations in streams in completely forested catchments, farmland catchments, and municipal wastewater treatment plant (WTP) effluents were /~0.015, <0.01 to 0.25, and up to 2 mg/l, respectively. High particulate P concentrations (up to 0.6 mg/l) occurred in all streams during surface runoff events, irrespective to land use, and even higher in WTP effluents (up to /~4 mg/1). Analysis of P fluxes in the river network showed a significant annual retention of both dissolved P (26 to 41% of all sources) and particulate P (27 to 67% of all sources).

Getting rid of social networks addiction
Roček, Vojtěch ; Řepa, Václav (advisor) ; Jelínková, Veronika (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to find a method how to test the tools for an intervention with procrastination on social networks. The thesis tests and according to a built scale evaluates if there are people who are addicted to social networks. Further, the thesis introduces tools suitable for the intervention of this addiction and states distinct suggestions on how to perform a wider research to explore the most suitable tools. The thesis compares both the software tools centered on measuring, blocking, hiding and aiming, and psychological tools centered on how to work with oneself through calming down and mindfulness or creating a personal vision. The research is aimed at the PC and smart phones Android platforms. The outcome is a suggestion to investigate both tools individually described and their variable combinations during the intervention of the addiction to social networks to closely understand the effect of their using and practical implementation.

Alcohol Detoxitication Center for Children and Youths its Function and Significance in the Network of Institutions which Provide Treatment
DUKOVÁ, Ivana
The objective of this thesis was the description of the work of the Child and Adolescent Detoxification Centre in Prague, its importance in the treatment drug addiction among children and adolescents. Another objective was to find out about the interrelationship of the work of regional coordinators for the prevention of risk behaviour and forms of follow-up therapy according to individual needs and nature of Child and Adolescent Detoxification Centre in Prague. The research conducted in the period from January to March 2010. Mapping the variants of follow-up therapy of the clients using habit-forming drugs in different regions of the Czech Republic and the forms of prevention are other objectives. The theoretical part of the thesis contains the description of the establishment of the Hospital of Sisters of Mercy of St. Charles Borromeo, in the premises of which the Child and Adolescent Detoxification Centre (CaADC) in Prague is located, as well as the description of the CaADC, and its medical and other personnel. The thesis describes the process of hospitalization, tests which preceded it and the necessary procedures to ensure successful completion of the hospitalization. Part of the theoretical block is dedicated to the care provided by a social worker, psychologist and therapists. Related legislation that forms the basis of prevention methods of individual regional drug coordinators and the centre itself is an integral part of the work. Prevention is a critical form of struggle against the abuse of psychotropic substances by children and adolescents. It is described in detail here, as well as the factors involved in the development of addiction. Other related terms only complement the mosaic of the studied issue. Within quantitative research, a content analysis of the data from the statistics of the Child and Adolescent Detoxification Centre in Prague was used to verify set hypotheses. The responses of regional drug coordinators to a set of open and semi-open questions, which were formulated for this purpose, were also used. Another source was the results of standardized interviews with three doctors at the Child and Adolescent Detoxification Centre in Prague. Hypotheses 1, 3 and 5 have not been confirmed. On the contrary, hypotheses 2 and 4 have been confirmed. The set objectives have been met. Unfortunately, our country still lacks a sufficient number of facilities that provide follow-up care of child drug addicts, as is clear from the research.

Health hazards perception of intravenous application of psychoactive drugs in addicted group
PROKŠOVÁ, Michaela
The addiction psychoactive substances currently represents a major problem. The number of users of such substances has been increasing. The intravenous application of psychoactive substances is associated with many health risks. Transmission and spreading of infection is associated mainly with frequent sharing and use of needles, syringes and other instruments among the users. In recent years the spreading of hepatitides (particularly VHC) has been reported as one of serious consequences of addiction to psychoactive substances, particularly in case of intravenous application. Protection against the spreading of diseases consist mainly in the prevention. The objective of the thesis is to verify whether the people addicted to psychoactive substances are aware of risks of transmission and spreading of infectious diseases (particularly VHC) as a result of intravenous application. The research was conducted on a group of drug addicts intercepted in the network of contact center and on a group of drug addicts in a therapeutic program of a psychiatric facility. I have used the method of inquiry in the form of questionnaires. In the thesis I set five hypotheses. The first, the third and the fifth hypotheses have been confirmed. The second and the fourth hypotheses have not been confirmed. The results of the research may be used by facilities providing low-threshold services as a part of secondary and tertiary prevention and harm reduction. It may also serve as source of information for workers dealing with anti-drug issues.

Is subvention program supporting production of electricity in photovoltaic plants in the Czech Republic efficient?
Vaniš, Miloš ; Mičúch, Marek (advisor) ; Zajíček, Miroslav (referee)
As a consequence of recent generous subvention program, supporting electricity production from renewable resources, number and size of installed capacity of the photovoltaic plants in the Czech Republic skyrocketed. Strikingly, using photovoltaic plants to reduce CO2 is the most expansive but paradoxically the most supported way to reduce emissions compared to alternative electricity production in the Czech Republic. Guaranteed producers' purchase price increases electricity prices for households and firms. Production of electricity in photovoltaic plants also encumber power transfer network. Purchase prices of electricity from photovoltaic plants were introduced to increase the share of electricity produced in photovoltaic plants on the overall consumption and to reduce CO2 emissions. Reducing CO2 emissions to stop climate change was the main reason for introducing photovoltaic subvention. Analysing the relationship between amount of CO2, number of photovoltaic plants and GDP on the data of selected countries showed that the production of electricity in a photovoltaic plants contributes nothing to CO2 reduction in short-term.

Enterprise use of social networks
Píša, Luděk ; Pavlíček, Antonín (advisor) ; Böhmová, Lucie (referee)
The thesis deals with theme of social networks especially from the view of companies. The thesis is divided into two main parts -- theoretical and practical. There is a necessary knowledge base of social networks and its use from perspective of a company in the theoretical part. There is also mentioned the topic of social networks analytics because it's the main theme of the practical part of the thesis. The research in the practical part analyzes the companies from Czech Republic, Germany and United States of America. The research is aimed on their behavior on Facebook and their company presentations there. There are two methods used in the practical part. One method compares the list of companies during the time period of 3 year (90 days of 2011 compared to 90 days of 2014). The other one compares the list of companies from geographical point of view. The goal of the practical part of the thesis if evaluation of pre-defined hypotheses.
