The Development and the Education of a Social Worker

This bachelor thesis deals with the development of social work and education of social workers. In the theoretical part, there is a description of history of social work and the division of social workers. There is also closely described in detail the work of the social workers of non-profit organization, municipality and employment offices. Furthermore, there is stated the importance and possibility of social workers' education. The practical part concentrates on an ascertainment whether social workers working at state organizations meet the criteria of professional education.

Territorial Development of Jáchymov Spa

This bachelor thesis is devoted to the territorial development of Jáchymov town in West Bohemia. The historical centre of the town was declared as the urban conservation zone by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic in 1992. However, the current state of the zone is critical and its appearance does not correspond to the status, which the town has reached before. Theoretical part of the thesis analyses historical causes of present state. The practical part is focused on the revitalization of the town core and describes actual project of the Republic Square general reconstruction. In case of the project realising, the town would gain the attractiveness, incoming tourism would increase and bring financial resources to the town. These resources would be allocated to renewal and salvation not only heritage protected buildings. This thesis was processed on the basis of appointment and continual consultations with employees of Municipal authority in Jáchymov. Specifically, it was Ms. Lýdie Krejčová -- Head of Building Department and Mr. Jan Hadrava -- Head of Economic-administrative Department.

Protection of citizens during emergencies, natural disasters or other critical situations with concentration on South Bohemian towns.

From the beginning of times people have encountered emergency situations which endanger their lives, health, properties and also the environment. Communities often try to prevent the impact of these situations or at the very least minimize the consequences. Depending on the particular society{\crq}s economic development, various precautionary measures have been implemented. My dissertation work addresses the current laws relating to crisis management in the Czech Republic. Fundamental principles are also explained. Main goals of my work were as following: 1. To compare South Bohemian towns and their respective legislation 2. To administer a questionnaire among a sample population 1. My selection consisted of five towns in the South Bohemian region. These were: Pisek, Jindrichuv Hradec, Sobeslav, Trebon and Cesky Krumlov. Prior to me visiting these towns, I made arrangements with its local representatives, specifically with those responsible for crisis management. I was able to inquire about their processes and conduct interviews. I have concentrated on the following areas: Process of informing population and emergency management Education of citizens, publication and distribution of educational materials School lectures/meetings Crisis management form Structure of emergency management authorities 2. My research focused on the population readiness and responsibilities during crisis and the means by which population is informed of a crisis. Questionnaire was distributed to the employees of local government offices of all five towns, and also to a random sample of citizen in two out of the five towns. I collected 132 questionnaires. My dissertation includes 8 tables and 2 graphs prepared based on the gathered data. Conclusion: Local governments and their employees dedicate significant amount of time and attention to crisis management. They follow the norms and regulations. Existing differences may be discussed and in the future it could facilitate integration of the system and improve the cooperation. Population is well informed of basic safety-principles.

The impact of changes in legislation on managment of filing service

This work covers the implementation of filing service in a municipal office and compares the real, current state with current legislation demands. The work is divided into 2 parts. The first part provides basic information about a selected municipal office and the character of currently used information system for filing service. Next this part describes individual activities being carried out in order to provide filing service and analyzes the life cycle of documents being processed in the municipal office. The second part of this work identifies significant changes in legislation, which influence individual activities of filing service. This enumeration serves as a basis for change proposals leading to the removal of flaws in processes as well as confusion in filing service managment in the municipal office. The main output of optimisation of filing service is altering the filing service managment according to the current filing service order in order to be in agreement with current legislation and the Ministry of Internal Affairs regulation.

The Use of Supervision at the Social Departments of the Municipal Authorities of the Vysočina Region

The sense of this thesis is to treat the issue of the supervision and its application in the social departments of the Town Authorities in the Vysočina Region and to confront this information with the knowledge and opinions of these employees. The target of the thesis was to map the present state of providing supervision in the social departments of the Town Authorities in the Vysočina Region and the partial target of the thesis was to elaborate the draft of the methodology for introducing the supervision at the Municipal Authority in Moravské Budějovice in the social department. The thesis will, together with the elaborated methodology for introducing the supervision at the Town Authority in Moravské Budějovice serve as basic material during introducing the supervision in the above mentioned Town Authority.

Hlavním tématem této diplomové práce jsou rozvojové politiky statutárního města Jihlavy v letech 1998 - 2008. Analýza je založena na následujících dokumentech - Strategický plán ekonomického vývoje města Jihlavy, Programové prohlášení Rady města Jihlavy a Integrovaný plán rozvoje statutárního města Jihlavy. Práce se člení na čtyři kapitoly zabývající se historií města, složením jeho vedení ve třech volebních obdobích, samotnými rozvojovými dokumenty a analýzou rozvojových politik.
