Seniors´ opinions on care allowance
POHLOVÁ, Vendula
Since January 1st, 2007, Act No. 108/2006 Coll. On Social Services has been effective. Amended later, it establishes procedures for the care allowance acknowledgement and other proceedings. The care allowance is paid in four stages. Under the Act, care allowance should be used to provide the necessary care for the applicant. Since the year 2007, the data collected have shown that care allowance (especially in the first stage) is not always used for the care provision by registered care providers, and the money paid from the state budget is not refunded via the care providers back into the system, as originally intended. The thesis deals with the development of care allowance and problems that care allowance brings about. The answers to the research questions were identified using a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods: a secondary data analysis and a semi-conducted interview. For the data analysis the information from the system OK SERVICES, in which the data associated with care allowance are processed and recorded, was used. The semi-conducted interview was conducted on the basis of prepared questions. The first portion was identification questions, the following questions were the prepared open questions that could have been adjusted during an interview with regard to a particular respondent. The basic research group of respondents for secondary data analysis consisted of the care allowance recipients at senior age living in the municipality with extended powers Český Krumlov. Interviews were conducted with selected senior citizens from the basic research group. The sample corresponds with the socio-demographic profile in the basic research group. The thesis can be used as material for the purposes of the MLSA, for community planning at the regional and municipal level, and for the employees of municipalities with extended powers, who are in charge of the care allowance agenda.

SEDLÁČKOVÁ, Blanka
Prostitution in Český Krumlov District The prostitution (from the Latin Prostituere) is providing sexual services for the payment or for or any counter-value, it makes no difference if it is a material remuneration or financial payment. The typical side effect of the prostitution is a frequent change of partners. We understand usually under the prostitution the women{\crq}s prostitution, however, also the men{\crq}s as well as children{\crq}s prostitution exists. The prostitution as mass social phenomenon is a social pathological phenomenon in all the present highly developed cultures. It is called also the oldest trade of the world, as it has exist already since the Antique. The theoretical part is focused first of all on finding out the prostitution at present, its forms, who provides the sexual services and what problems are associated with it in the society. Its aim is to present the whole issue of prostitution. The data necessary for testing the formulated hypotheses were acquired by means of the quantitative research, enabling the work with the big complex of respondents. To collect more easily the highest possible number of answers, the method of the written questioning, i.e. of questionnaires was selected. The investigated complex of respondents was in the age range from 15 years to 71 years. The research was performed in the towns as well as smaller municipalities concerned by the issue of prostitution. The information was provided for what purposes the questionnaires will be utilized and that the evaluation will be anonymous. One of the goals was monitoring the prostitution (erotic clubs), directly in the Český Krumlov District, acquiring information in what way the prostitution is regulated by individual municipalities and finding out, how the prostitution in the municipality is perceived by the citizens. The first hypothesis was to find out if the municipalities issue the directives of public order regulating prostitution. And if these Directives are cancelled by the Constitutional Court. This hypothesis was refuted during the investigation. And the second hypothesis was that the inhabitants consider the regulating measures for the prostitution as insufficient. This hypothesis was confirmed. The thesis may be utilised as incentive for the changes in legislation and attitude of municipalities to this issue, or extension of measures of individual municipalities.

Gambling is wagering money on an event with an uncertain outcome with the primary intent of winning additional money. Purpose of my diploma work is a comparison situation of gamling industry in Czech republic and in the rest of the world. My diploma work has many parts. In the first one I describe the history of regulation in the United States and then I show economic dates from presents: casino locations by category, casinos per state, commercial casino tax revenue by state and national commercial casino revenue. Next I explain a special american category of casino and it is tribal casino and than I show tribal gaming revenues by region. Internet gambling is the transformation of casino games of chance and skill to the internet. In the Czech republic is an unsatisfactory legal regualtions, because there is a obsolete rule. Therefore domestic operators can not obtain a licence for offering online gambling services to Czech residents, whereas foreign operators offers these services, but illegal. Therefore is necessary to create a new rule, which will be able to change this unsatisfactory situation. In the next part I write about three big cases, which are important for situation in european gambling industry. European commission and European court of justice have both a big influence and I describe, what they do for better situation in european gambling, because some states ( for example Germany ) prohibit internet gambling on their own territory, but this is problem, because this rule is in discrepancy with law of European union. In Czech republic is internet gambling for foreign company prohibited too and I explain, what is the reason for this situation. This diploma work contains my own research, how works telephone and internet gambling.
