Advanced Methods of Audio Signals Interpolation
Pospíšil, Jiří ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Mach, Václav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the theoretical analysis of the predictive methods of signal interpolation and signal modeling using sinusoidal model. On the basis of this theory the algorithm for the reconstruction of the missing sections in the audio signal is implemented in computing environment MATLAB. Results of mass testing reconstructions are displayed using objective methods SNR and PEMO-Q. Further experiments are carried out on single signals and their evaluation is described.

Image extrapolation methods
Ješko, Petr ; Špiřík, Jan (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis deals with addition of pixels outside the image. Lists some methods for inpainting using computers and highlights the pitfalls that appear here. Examines methods for interpolation and approximation of functions in order to find the best method for extrapolating the image beyond its borders. Describes the basics of Wavelet transformation and Multiresolution analysis and briefly discusses about spatial filtering, edge detection and the algorithm OMP, falling within the sparse representation of signals. Theoretical knowledge of these areas are used in the design of several methods for adding pixels outside the image. PSNR and SSIM are used to compare achieved results. Also discussed is the development environment of MATLAB as a tool for the implementation of algorithms that practically solves the given problem.
Measurements of the intensity of traffic within a fixed interval of the AP
Kubík, Pavel ; Trzos, Michal (referee) ; Matocha, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis analyzes the network traffic on a router with open source firmware. First is chosen a software platform, based on compatibility with available equipment. Then are assessed properties necessary for the development of custom applications. Support for various programming languages provided by the SDK, development environment and the available modules and libraries, for working with network interface. Based on these factors is then chose method to realize the program. He is implemented on the OpenWRT firmware in C / C + + using network library pcap. These funds are used to capture and analyze network traffic. Obtained data are processed using methods of technical analysis, namely on the basis of moving averages, Stochastic oscillator and Bollinger bands. Based on results of these methods are generated and verified estimates of traffic. They are based on linear extrapolation, simplified for fixed intervals. The validity of each method is verified on base of the estimated value. Method is verified if estimated value of the traffic volume is in the Bollinger band, which is given by the standard deviation. Each method is tested several times in real traffic with different input parameters. Then is evaluated the influence of parameters on the error rate of methods. Individual methods are compared and evaluated based on the behavior in different scenarios and based on the average relative error.
Data compression
Krejčí, Michal ; Havlíková, Marie (referee) ; Čejka, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with lossless and losing methods of data compressions and their possible applications in the measurement engineering. In the first part of the thesis there is a theoretical elaboration which informs the reader about the basic terminology, the reasons of data compression, the usage of data compression in standard practice and the division of compression algorithms. The practical part of thesis deals with the realization of the compress algorithms in Matlab and LabWindows/CVI.
Comparison of Differences in Seasonality of Demographic Time Series of The Selected Countries in EU
Morávek, David ; Šimpach, Ondřej (advisor) ; Miskolczi, Martina (referee)
In the theoretical level this thesis describes some of the statistical methods using for time series analysis with seasonal component and some of the statistical methods using only for analysis of seasonal component. In the analytical level, these statistical methods are applied to demographic time series. The seasonal component is analysed in more detail, and the progress and type of the seasonal component is compared between several european country. This thesis brings and shows some of the interesting trends, which are appeared in analysed demographic time series. Last but not least, this thesis also provides the preview on the application of some not usually using statistical methods.
Statisitcal models of the renewable energy market
Kozma, Petr ; Marek, Luboš (advisor) ; Coufal, Jan (referee) ; Hronová, Stanislava (referee) ; Janáček, Kamil (referee)
An efficient application and development of renewable energy sources is one of the most important contribution to the energetic balance of the human society. Anyhow, statistical model of the renewable energy market, which would fundamentally explain relevant economical rules related to these perspective energetic resources, is not clearly known up to now. Nevertheless, the relevant statistical data concerning application of solar energy (photovoltaic and thermo-solar heating) are available for the last twenty years. Based on the economic models, statistical data concerning sales of photovoltaic models and thermo-solar collectors sales have been analysed in this work. It has been shown that the model of constant elasticity predicts an exponential increase which will slow down when a certain level of annual cumulative sales was reached. The model of constant elasticity was found to be successful to interpret past sales data. In the approach of variable elasticity model the parameter of the elasticity has been modified as a function of variables such as market volume, price and time through the statistical evaluation. It enabled to calculate initial, saturation and competitive market conditions, as well. Whereas the constant elasticity demand model describes exponential growth of sales and installations, which was characteristic for the beginning of the application of these renewable resources of energy, the variable elasticity demand model describes a more realistic situation, where cumulative sales either increase or decrease and prices vary subsequently. Simple growth model of unlimited demand based on the growing sales is not realistic and could not be feasible in the long term. The market elasticity could be understood as a real economical parameter representing percentual market increase or decrease at a given time; in the variable demand elasticity model, the constant elasticity is replaced by a function of a market volume, price and time. In this case, we can estimate model parameters for the different market conditions: growth, saturation and decrease. The function representing the capital adequacy in the generalized market model has also been deliberated. Statistical models have been used to determine cumulative sales and market prices of photovoltaic modules and thermo-solar collectors. Moreover, model parameters have been used for the calculation of the realized photovoltaic and thermo solar projects' capital adequacy on the renewable energy market. By using model parameters, renewable energy market forecast up to 2020 has been estimated. We have used generalized market model to credibly estimate future renewable energy market until 2020; as well as extend model parameterization on other resources of renewable energy (water and wind, geothermal sources, biomass) and set prices of energy produced from these renewable sources. Potential energetic savings have been estimated for households (apartments and private houses), who can be relevant consumers of energy from renewable sources. We have performed statistical findings on randomly selected files, where we have reached a real energy consumption, to prove this. This research allowed us to perform a real estimate of a renewable energy contribution to the total energy balance. We have successfully proved that linearly growing capital adequacy function, with an annual growth between 2.5% and 3.0%, is reflecting the renewable energy market sufficiently and is fully in line with an average growth of the total energy consumption. Renewable energy share on the total energy balance will grow substantially to reach a level of 15% in 2015 on the world market and a level of 8% in the Czech Republic for the same period with a perspective to reach a level of 11% in 2020 respectively. Assuming this level of renewable energy on the total production will lead to a decrease of CO2 emissions by three million of tones in 2015 and by four million of tones in 2020. Final reach of this status quo is fully predicted by our statistical model for renewable energy market.
Fundamental analysis of RWE AG title
Nemšáková, Alena ; Musílek, Petr (advisor) ; Witzany, Jiří (referee)
The goal of the diploma thesis: "Fundamental analysis of RWE AG title" is to determine an intrinsic value of the RWE AG share using detail analysis. The first -- theoretical -- part deals with financial environment where the title is being traded and quoted. This part characterised german indices, mainly index DAX 30, because its component is also RWE AG share. The electronic system Xetra is described here as well. Fundamental analysis itself - including global, sector and enterprise analysis - is the subject of the second section. At the end of this work, the intrinsic value is evaluated and subsequently the forecast is outlined.
