Riemann zeta function
Čoupek, Petr ; Rokyta, Mirko (advisor) ; Zahradník, Miloš (referee)
Riemann zeta function represents an important tool in analytical number theory with various applications in quantum mechanics, probability theory and statistics. First introduced by Bernhard Riemann in 1859, zeta function is a central object of many outstanding problems. From previous results follows the importance of zeta function for further development in the field of number theory. This thesis provides basic properties of the Riemann zeta function. In particular, we prove theorems concerning the distribution of its roots outside and inside the critical strip which leads to the formulation of the Riemann hypothesis and theorems concerning the irrationality of selected values of the Riemann zeta function including the proof of the irrationality of ζ(3). 1
Testování polovodičových detektorů typu DEPFET
Malina, Lukáš ; Kodyš, Peter (advisor) ; Doležal, Zdeněk (referee)
DEPFET pixel detectors were developed more than 20 years ago and they are still being improved, for example on Belle II experiment in Japan. In this thesis we studied the properties of readout cycle of detector matrix and the movement of counted hit positions close to the edges of DEPFET matrix, the which is reffered to as edge effect. The main goal of this work was to familiarize with particle detectors and their principles, especially with DEPFET matrices, to set up laser test system and to write ROOT macro for measurement automatization, run the measurement and analyze obtained data. For this purpose we used red 3 nanosecond long laser pulses, moving stages with very fine step and two connected pulse generators. As a result, the voltage between the outer ring and the inner part of the detector active area was optimalised, the edge effect was reduced by a factor of 2. The time properties of readout cycle, the time period of charge clearing and the time in which is the matrix read out, have been found.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to suggest and create the collection of solved exercises from mathematic on a theme quadratic, absolute-value equations and equations involving square roots. It is intended for the students of the fifth grade of the eight-year grammar school and for the students of the first grade of the four-year grammar school or secondary school. Thanks to the solved exercises it is possible for students to get to know the methods for solving given types of quadratics more deeply.
Study of cosmic muons in Tile calorimeter
Slovák, Radim ; Davídek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Drásal, Zbyněk (referee)
Main goal of this thesis is to learn about detector ATLAS, mainly about his hadron calorimeter Tile Calorimeter. Next step is get knowledge about processing date with program ROOT. It is necessary to test and monitor detector for example by muons from cosmic rays before his initiation. We analysed real experimental date from single module of Tile Calorimeter here. We found out signal-to-noise ratio. Then we separed out signal and noise and we found cells which muons flew through.
The plants recognition mobile application UI Specification
Schwarzová, Kristýna ; Pavlíček, Josef (advisor) ; Kedaj, Petr (referee)
This thesis describes the design of an application for recognizing plants. The application will run on mobile platforms with Android OS. Part of the thesis is focused on creation of a database of meadow plants and creation of a paper prototype, which will verify the applicability of the designed user interface. The user takes a photo of the flower plant that he wants to recognize and the application looks up the given flower in the database. During photographing the application guides the user how to take the picture of the plant. The first part of the thesis defines terms such as application, UI specification, Android, paper prototype and macro photography. It is focused mainly on taking photographs of plants under optimal conditions and proper camera settings. The second part includes UI specification, which consists of motivation, definition, goal definition, personification, use case, scenario, and of logical and graphical design.
Welding of the framework from aluminium alloys
Rašek, Ondřej ; Daněk, Ladislav (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
For TIG welding of transformer fame is important enough weld root fusion, however exposed surfaces must remain unaffected. Three types of test were made to determine properties of welds under different conditions. Tests were macroscopic inspection, tensile test and fracture test. Next was economic evaluation of different methods. Best results were for single layer weld with pre-heated material.
Parametric testing plasma welding on the root of weld
Záškoda, David ; Daněk, Ladislav (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is to assess the suitability of the new process of welding roots of welds by the rotors of steam turbines plasma jet. The new proposed method uses a combination of welding the weld root plasma with the method of submerged-arc welding, however the submerged-arc welding is not subjekt of this work. The tests performed were verified by the possibility of welding the weld root of the plasma jet – Keyhole method without filler material. The aim was to find the optimum welding parameters to achieve the required weld quality, particularly with regard to geometry of weld. Turbine rotors are made of heat resistant steels, which have high strength at high temperatures. In all described tests have been used steel 30CrMoNiV 5-11....Mat. No. 1.6946.
Below-ground biomass of \kur{Carex acuta} in a graminoid wetland
NEŠPOR, Marek
This thesis is part of the project GA CR P504 / 11/1151 "The role of plants in the greenhouse gas balance Carex fens". The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the seasonal dynamics of Carex acuta belowground biomass in model grassland wetlands (the "wet meadows") near Třeboň. Belowground biomass of C. acuta L. was sampled using the destructive method. The samples were taken on four dates in 2014. On each date, three hummocks of C. acuta and three soil samples in their immediate vicinity were sampled on each date. Live roots had a greater dry weight than decaying roots on all sampling dates. Their total dry weight varied slightly, depending on season. The ratio of live roots to decaying roots did not differ much. The weight of live roots in hummock was almost always higher than that of the dead ones. The dry weight of living roots was always greater in the hummock than below it. Their total weight varied slightly during the year. Aquatic roots formed only a small part of the dry weight of live roots in hummocks. A greater total belowground dry weight found on 21st December 2014, in comparison with 5th August 2014, was associated with a greater amount of rhizomes of other plant species. The shoots increased their dry weight during the year. Maximum weight of tillers was recorded on 8th August 2014. There were no dead shoots on 25th March 2014. Dry weights of dead tillers were largely similar throughout the year. The volumetric soil water content (%) was usually higher in the upper soil layers. The bulk density of the soil was almost identical on all sampling sites, except for the top layer on site 1, where it was considerably lower.
Below-ground biomass of the common reed (Phragmites australis) in a constructed wetland used for wastewater treatment
MOULISOVÁ, Lenka
My thesis is a part of the project GACR 206/06/0058 Monitoring of selected heavy metals and risk elements in a wastewater cleaning process in artificial wetlands. The goal is to evaluate temporal and spatial variability of underground biomass of Phragmites australis in the artificial wetland used for wastewater treatment in Slavošovice. The destructive method was used for the sampling. The aboveground biomass was determined from six samples taken at the inflow and six samples at the outflow. The belowground biomass (in 2008) was estimated from two samples taken at the inflow and two samples at the outflow. In 2009, the belowground biomass was determined from six samples taken from the inflow and six samples from the outflow. The analysis of the root structure was determined from 12 samples collected at the inflow and 12 samples of the outflow. The mean total aboveground biomass reached 1039 g.m-2 at the inflow and the 1749 g.m-2 at the outflow. Average total belowground biomass in 2009 reached the inflow 1718 g.m-2 and 1562 g.m-2 at the outflow. The average total length of roots growing from one node to was 284,7 m.m-2 and 324,9 m.m-2 in the inflow and outflow part, respectively. Average specific root length of the inflow was 2589,5 cm.g-1 and the outflow 2956,9 cm.g-1. The average total length of roots reaching the inflow of two kilometers and three kilometers of inflow.
