Martinát, Lukáš ; Petr, Pelikán (referee) ; Šlezingr, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of this project is design front breakwaters on the valley dam Brno, area Osada. These precautionaries must obviate another destruction of soil on coast, abrasion. The correct design is depending on a definition of abrasion terminant AT, it is point where regress of bank stops. We need elaborate counts of water levels in the dam for last ten years, for the definition of that abrasion point. After that follows definition of the most-count water level Mnmax and definition of a ground elevation bottom of the most highly abrasion crib Va.
Design of monitoring system for waterworks

Management of Brno Dam Water Reservoir
Kala, David ; Syrovátka, Oldřich (advisor) ; Duchek, Stanislav (referee)
Focus of this bachelor thesis is a long-term, sustainable management of environment of dam in Brno, more precisely environment of a basin of the river Svratka, with regards to creation of optimal balance between ecological, economic and social field. Need to solve this issue arose as a result of catastrophic quality of water in a water reservoir, which was caused by inappropriate agricultural activities in the basin and improper waste management especially in the area of municipal waste. In accordance with effort to start up process that would result in better management of environment in the basin of river Svratka, model project "Čisté povodí Svratky" is being realized. Its goal is to attain rectification by implementation of several essential measures. Project came to be as a joint effort of several regions (Pardubický, Vysočina and Jihomoravský as a coordinator of the project), statutory city of Brno, Povodí Moravy, state enterprise (as a guarantor of the project). On behalf of process of revitalization in the basin of river Svratka, or rather water reservoir Brněnská přehrada, several model situations and consequent measures to improve quality of water have been proposed, based on gathered data. Extent of the proposed measures should allow maintaining balance within all of the monitored spheres. My focus in practical ecological part of this thesis lays in observation of coefficient of ecological stability and complex estate modifications in chosen localities of area in question.
Establishment, operation and further perspective of the hydro-electric plant Lipno
HOMMER, Jan

The first part deals with the history of water works, and introduction to basic physics of energy conversion. Further research is made available sources of information on the history, technology, power generation and design of hydropower Lipno I and II, with mention of unrealized project pumping plant Lipno III. The conclusion evaluates the defined objectives and creates a short summary.
The costs of water retention in landscape and wetland creation in Czech republic.
ČERNÝ, Jan
Different types of man-made retention systems (polder, small water reservoir, large water reservoir) have been characterized by means of their retention potential and cost of retention per one cubic meter. As part of these man-made retention systems, wetland area has been created. Its acreage and build expense has been counted up inreference to total area, which differed within various types of retention systems. The results of these calculations, Hessenian method, and the metohod of agricultural land use were used to evaluate natural river basin and its retention potential. The calculations reveal, that model locality of natural river basin has the lowest value, when used for agriculture cultivation. Hessenian method showed the highest value. The expense of substituting the natural retention of the model locality with different man-made retention systems is estimated to be 0.5?1.6 billion CZK.
