Cost and break-even analysis of bored tunnel of Metrostav a.s.
Hadravová, Marcela ; Klečka, Jiří (advisor) ; Uhlíř, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis discusses cost analysis, cost functions, revenues and profit, the break-even analysis and related decision problems. The topic of this study is important to every manufacturing company. The general theoretical basis subsequently tend to concrete problem-solving, including calculations, graphic representations and verbal explanations. The theoretical part of this work presents potential approaches to the description of basic economic values and examines correlations of these values. Problems described in theoretical part are applicated on a project currently executed by public limited company Metrostav, it is a tunnel construction known as ,,Construction 0079 Špejchar -- Pelc -- Tyrolka -- bored tunnels". There have to be made some important decisions about the basic time, technological and other variables before calculations. Determination of variable and fixed costs is based on the Classificational Analysis, necessary information about costs are included in cost calculations. Revenues are calculated from the investment budget for the tunnel project. Break -- even point is calculated for the three geological categories of rock, which differ with dificulties of boring. The thesis is focused also on various types of decision problems such as number of running metres, that is necessary to bore to achieve required profitability or determination of profit and profitability achieved by the target monthly performance in particular geological boring categories. The calculated outputs are summarized and compared, the conclusions and recommendations for a further use of the outputs in the whole process of tunnel boring are described. The procedures used for the calculation of the break--even point and making decisions about related problems can be generalised and used in similar tunnel projects, or more precisely in all line construction projects carried out by the Metrostav.

Limitations of the Right of Ownership
Baloghová, Zuzana ; Dvořák, Jan (advisor) ; Pohl, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with the limitations of the Right of Ownership from the standpoint of current civil law regulations taking into account their prospective recodification and their subsequent impact on civil law relations, including the Right of Ownership. In this thesis I discuss various private law limitations of the Right of Ownership arising from its collision with the Right of Ownership of other subjects as well as the public law limitations of the Right of Ownership imposed by the state in order to protect the public interest. Emphasis is also placed on the protection of the Right of Ownership by means of private legal action and state action. This thesis draws comparisons between the relevant legal regulations of various countries and contains a selection of Czech case law together with the opinions of legal scholars and practicing professionals. The principal finding of this thesis is that from a certain point of view the passage of a new Civil Code seems to be desirable despite the current impossibility to precisely assess its impact on the Right of Ownership.

Education of Brownies and Cub Scouts. A Focuse on the Scout Centre "Čejka" in Veselí nad Moravou
Bílková, Magdaléna ; Bernard, Josef (advisor) ; Civínová, Lucie (referee)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with education of children who are in the first grade of the basic school (7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age), namely with the education of the brownies and cub scouts in the "Junák - Association of Scouts and Guides of the Czech Republic". The thesis describes the intellectual background, principles, aims, educational system and methods used in the above mentioned organization. The thesis also deals with the general problems of free-time education and shows specific approaches applied within the scout movement, namely it compares the activities done within the scout organization with other free-time activities available to children. An important part of the thesis is a methodological research based on the questionnaires. Its main target was to analyze the position of scouting among different free-time activities. The research was aimed at the parents of brownies and cub scouts from the scout centre "Čejka" in Veselí nad Moravou. The reserch showed that among all free- time activities, scouting is the activity which develops a child in the most complex way. However, it cannot compete with the specialized childern clubs which are focused on the development of a particular ability. Unfortunately, this conclusion does not have the statistic importance - due to the low return of the...

Czech bibliophily 1918-1938. About the book culture in the times of the First Republic
Čáp, Daniel ; Čechurová, Jana (referee) ; Kvaček, Robert (advisor)
The subject ofthis thesis is Czech bibliophily in the times ofthe First Republic, which marks the period between 1918 and 1938. The whole theme is divided into three major parts. The first one describes development of the modem Czech book which is c10sely connected with the origin of the bibliophilia movement itself. When looking back to the 1890s we can see two important figures: Amošt Procházka and Zdenka Braunerová. Procházka was the editor in chief of the Modemí revue, the magazine of the decadents. He was great1y inspired by French bibliophilia. On the other hand, Braunerová sought the inspiration in England. They both played the role of the founders and they were commemorated during the era of the First Republic. Another three persons pawed the way of the Czech modem bibliophily: typographer Karel Dyrynk, graphic artist Vojtěch Preissig and bookbinder Ludvík Bradáč. Book culture was widely discussed at the beginning of the 20th century. The most important is the artic1e "Book as a piece of art" written by F. X. Šalda. The Society of the Czech bibliophiles is found in 1908 and in 1910s we can finally see the modem Czech bibliophily. But bibliophily is also questioned during the era of the First Republic. Some people considered it a luxury you can live without. The new republic brings in a new...

Spirituality in Seriously Ill and Dying Patients
Špaček, Martin ; Lachman, Jan (advisor) ; Keřkovský, Pavel (referee)
This thesis focuses on spirituality particularly in relation to dying and death. It aims to provide an introduction to spirituality for health care professionals - especially physicians - as well as to discuss possible ways of addressing spiritual concerns in complex care of patients. The secularization of modern society and technological advance in medicine have extensively marginalized death and dying. However, hospice movement and palliative care reintroduced a new model of "good death" and revived interest and recognition of spirituality of seriously ill and dying patients. Despite multiple official recommendations including World Health Organization statements spirituality has a low profile both in our society and health care system, spiritual issues are generally not considered in medical education or in training of allied professions. Spirituality - as well as religion - is a complex phenomenon and may be discovered and expressed in wide variety of ways, depending on cultural and religious traditions. Medical staff should be able to identify and address spiritual issues of importance to their patients, not only in the end-of-life issues but also during the course of treatment. Systems for formal mathematics
Kunčar, Ondřej ; Štěpánek, Petr (referee) ; Urban, Josef (advisor)
The Mizar type system is a relatively sophisticated system as it allows for many properties, such as independent types, attributes, overloading, subtyping, structures and many others. All these properties make formalization of mathematics more intuitive in Mizar that in other systems. However, there is a need to verify mathematical results formalized in Mizar in other systems, so that belief in consistency of Mizar system is strengthened. Attempts at reconstruction of this type system in other mathematics formalization systems follow directly from this requisite. The present work seeks to reconstruct Mizar type system in HOL Light system. The basic idea here is to represent Mizar types as predicates in this system (HOL Light). The present work also aims at precise description of relevant parts of Mizar type system. The thesis concludes by reviewing some of the insights that were arrived at in the course of designing and implementing suggested reconstruction.

The morbidity of infants in connection with infant swimming
NOVOTNÁ, Eva
The infant swimming stands for harmonic movement of the infant in the water caused by effective moves which keep the swimmer afloat. However, it does not lead to mastering the basic swimming skills. During infancy, the rapid mental development, maturation of central nervous system and physical growth take place. The infants meet the diseases for the first time. These can be the infectious, respiratory, eye, skin, ear diseases, urinary tract and the digestive system diseases. Also the allergy can turn up. The infant swimming positively influences the infants, but more and more objections are stated in connection with area of risks that can cause negative impact on infant?s health. Some of the paediatricians do not recommend the infant swimming at all. The aim of this bachelor?s thesis is to explore morbidity of infants who participate in infant swimming courses. For the empirical part, the quantitative research, using questionnaires and secondary analysis data from medical records given by a general practitioner for children and adolescents, was used. The research group were children who took part in infant swimming courses. The research with questionnaire was conducted on the grounds of swimming pool of the city Jindřichův Hradec. The electronic form of the questionnaire, thanks to which the parents from the other parts of the Czech Republic were addressed, was used to enhance the research group. The survey attended 141 parents in total. The medical records contained information about 62 children who took part in infant swimming and 22 children who did not. The data are collected on children who attended the infant swimming courses a year ago. Two research questions were defined. The first defined research question: ?Is there a relationship between the stay in swimming pool and the occurrence of diseases of infants?? The source for the answer for this research question was a conducted survey. The result of this survey is that the continuity of diseases of children who attend infant swimming courses was confirmed in 5 % of cases, from which the disease did not occurred again in three cases where the swimming pool was changed for other. The most current diseases were the fever, virus infection, respiratory diseases, atopic eczema and mollusci. The second defined research question: ?Is there a relationship between a regular stay in the swimming pool and repeated occurrence of respiratory diseases and skin diseases?? For this research question, the two hypotheses were established for the statistical evaluation. Hypothesis 1: ?The infants who regularly attend the infant swimming courses do suffer a repeated occurrence of respiratory diseases in contrary to the infants who do not attend infant swimming courses.? and hypothesis 2: ?The infants who regularly attend the infant swimming courses do suffer a repeated skin diseases in contrary to the infants who do not attend infant swimming courses.? The results of the medical records of infants which included a comparison of infants attending the infant swimming courses with non-swimmers shows that regular stay in the swimming pool does not increase the risk of repeated respiratory diseases and skin diseases. Concluding from the above results, the infant swimming has no negative impact on the health of infant in case of following further conditions, for example the individual assessment of the health status of the infant, discussion of the health status of the infant with the family general practitioner and compliance the half an hour acclimatization after the infant swimming courses before entering the external environment. The results can help for the development of preventive measures before the onset of diseases associated with the infant swimming courses, help to the trainers of infant swimming and also to the doctors when deciding on the recommendations of these courses.
