Sergej Prokofjev - Piano Compositions for Small and Big Pianists
Hubková, Terezie ; Gregor, Vít (advisor) ; Kopecká, Věra (referee)
Sergei Prokofiev is one of the foremost composers of the 20th century. He was also an excellent pianist, and therefore it is not surprising that he devoted a great part of his work to the piano. I would like to put near both aspects of Prokofiev's production in my thesis, the piano music for advanced pianists and the compositions which we could use in classes at the music schools. From the first group I have chosen the monumental sonata cycle which is formed of nine piano sonatas. I would like to concentrate on the First Piano Sonata op. 1 and the second movement from the Fourth Piano Sonata op. 29. I tried to to make a deeper and interpretative analysis. From the compositions for children I have inserted into my thesis the piano transcription of the symphonic fairy tale Peter and the Wolf op. 67 and Music for Children op. 65. At least marginally I allude Tales of an Old Grandmother op. 31, Prelude op. 12 and the part of piano suite from the ballet Romeo and Juliet op. 75. The piano compositions by Sergei Prokofiev don't often sound from the concert podiums. I think it is a pity so I would like my work to serve as a small inspiration.

Word That Matters. Humanity and Ethics in the Thought of Emmanuel Lévinas
Vik, Dalibor ; Vogel, Jiří (advisor) ; Pelcová, Naděžda (referee) ; Altrichter, Michal (referee)
In five chapters, this thesis traces the question of humanity in the thought of the French philosopher Emmanuel Lévinas, mainly in his works De l'évasion (1935), De l'existence à l'existant (1947), Totalité et infini (1961) and Éthique comme philosophie première (1982), which represent various stages of his philosophical development. It offers an exposition of Lévinas's most original concepts, follows their development and sketches their parallel and/or polemic concepts in the European thought, placing them within the context of Lévinas's life-work. For Lévinas, the question of humanity appears as a transpostition of the question of God, who can not become an object of rational inquiry. In conclusion, the question of humanity becomes the theological issue par excellence. This study tries to show how theology can draw inspiration from Lévinas's concepts in various manners: (1) methodology: Lévinas shows what happens to our thought when we follow the principle Sein-lassen in questionning God and when we take this principle as a basis of our theological research; (2) re-thinking: Lévinas offers a critical revision of traditional theological concepts and endows them with existential meaning, (3) marginalized phenomena: Lévinas thoroughly analyzes phenomena, which has been neglected or marginalized by the...

Hochová, Hana ; Uhlířová, Jana (advisor) ; Křivánek, Zdeněk (referee)
The diploma work is divided into two parts. In the first part which is a theoretical one, I have been focused on the analysis of Komensky's thoughts, on the issues of human activity, on the didactical principles, and particularly on the object teaching which culminated later on in the work Scltola ludus. Further my work deals with the development and with the analysis of the factually language textbooks in the context with life cycle of Jan Amos Komensky, with the position of work Orbis sensualium pictus among these textbooks and with the analysis of the own text. In the second part which is a practical one, I dealt with the selection of seven chapters of the work Orbis sensualium pictus through which I intended to reach an understanding with Komensky epoch and to perform a contemporary educational subjectmatter. A new Orbis pictus has been created by pupils, who fitted it with a new up-to-date content and continued the original themes of Komensky. As a method of my work I opted a long term project having duration one month. Being carried out with pupils of first class of the primary school.

Jazz in Music Activities
Beránek, Jiří ; Minářová Výborná, Terezie (referee) ; Nedělka, Michal (advisor)
Music of jazz sphere and more generally the whole branch of non-artistic music (perhaps with the exception of domestic folklore) remained in this country, as well as in the world for a long period out of the scope of both musical education and musicology. This situation has however changed profoundly during the last fifty years: modem popular music especially since 1960s has been gradually creeping into curricula, teaching plans and textbooks of musical education (and let us believe into its teaching practice too); special conservatory for this type of music was found and modern popular music is also a part of a college education of musical branch. Theory and history of non-artistic music has become newly crystallizing and very expanding discipline of musicology (besides theory and history of musical interpretation and musical semiotics). Especially in the U.S., the study of such discipline has become connected with already established awareness that in case of music of jazz sphere we are dealing with specifically American music, which is therefore appropriate subject for exploring American national culture and its heritage. Development drawings of preschool children
VADLEJCHOVÁ, Anna
A bachelor thesis is devided into two parts a theoretical and a practical part. The target of this thesis is to monitor the progress in drawing of preschool children and to outline how a teacher can support this progress. In a theoretical part a preschool child is characterized by accent on a progress of his visual and drawing exhibition. A visual activity, especially the progress of drawing exhibition, is associated with planning of activities in a kindergarten (following the class educational program, school eduational program). In a practical part I form my own program which focuses on a progress of drawing exhibition which I realised practically with children in a kindergarten. I practice a pedagogical diagnosis of children's drawing exhibition before the start and after the end of the program. I monitor a progress of drawing of an individual child. For outlining of drawing out of a kindergarten, I hand out questionnares to parents in order to find out how children draw at home.
