MIČANOVÁ, Pavlína
The theme of this thesis is The herbal therapy and other alternative treatments for various diseases. The work is focused on the medicinal herbs that people have been using from long ago and the use is still actual until nowadays. First there is mentioned the history of phythoterapy, the plant structures and parts, fifty most famous plants and their impacts, contained substances of medicinal herbs, herbs picking, drying and processing and the last part deals with the organs of the body that are connected with the healing effects and detoxication. Not least there are mentioned the harmful plant effects. One aim of this thesis was to find out what people know about the medicinal herbs, what are their experience and how they use them. Other aim was to create the internet manual containing the most common illnesses with the recommendations of how to treat them using the herbs. The thesis component is the quantitative research based on the questioning method. The questionnaire was made according to the research assumptions and it was released on the internet to give access to as many visitors as possible. The questionnaires were collected from one hundred nine respondents in a week period. The answers were sometimes interesting and in general they show the people knowledge of medicinal herbs. The results of the research were processed by means of charts. The conclusions and the recommendations for the practice were defined on the basis of the getting results. This thesis can be used as an extention of the present knowledge of medicinal plants.

Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology Candidate: Mgr. Jana Kramerová Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Jiří Lamka, CSc. Title of rigorous work: Health status of chamois population in Lužické Mountains and evaluation of anthelmintic efficacy of albendazole In the course of 2002 and 2007 years the parasitological verifications in wild chamois population living in Lužické Mountains, the Czech Republic, were realised. Actually dominating parasite is small lungworm Muellerius capillars, among other parasitic findings were identified common roundworms of intestinal tract and tapeworm of Moniezia species. Based on recognised parasitostatus the administration of albendazole was selected for control of found parasitoses. The granulate of drug was mixed with feed during the winter season and in the form of medicated feed administered to chamois. The efficacy of drug administrations were regularlly evaluated, optimal findings were found for albendazole dosing 5.0 mg/kg of body weight administered in 5 consecutive days.

Abiotic stress resposes in apple (Malus domestica Borkh.) tissue cultures
Krsek, Daniel ; Pospíšilová, Jana (referee) ; Lipavská, Helena (advisor)
Abiotic stress factors, primarily those which disturb plant water balance, cause extensive crop losses. With regard to sessile lifestyle, many mechanisms how to cope with these unfavourable conditions were developed during evolution of plants. As common impact of many of these stresses like drought, salinity or low temperatures is of osmotic nature, the osmotic adjustment represents important part of plant stress response. Mostly, this component of stress reaction is provided by organic compounds, which are referred to as compatible solutes, including polyhydroxyl compounds (sucrose, sugar alcohols, cyclitols, and oligosacharides) and nitrogen-containing compounds (mainly proline). The effect of these solutes is not only osmotic, but also osmoprotective as they are able to preserve integrity of membranes and macromolecules by mimicking their water envelope. The compatible solutes also contribute to quenching of reactive oxygen species overproduced under these stress conditions. This study is focused on apple (Malus domestica) producing, beside sucrose, sugar alcohol sorbitol as primary photosynthetic product and transporting these carbohydrates along with raffinose family oligosaccharides (RFO) for a long distance. In vitro tissue cultures derived from leaves of two apple cultivars differing in...

Fast-track proceedings of administrative infractions (the development and recent legal regulation)
Herudková, Jana ; Kopecký, Martin (referee) ; Prášková, Helena (advisor)
MISDEMEANOUR PROCEDURE (DEVELOPMENT AND CURRENT REGULATION) Misdemeanour procedure is a highly frequent kind of administrative activity which intervenes in legal relations of expressly determined physical entities. The object of this procedure is to decide the issue of guilt and possible penalty for committed deed, in which the misdemeanour is found as a kind of administrative offence. Misdemeanour procedure is envisaged as a part of discharge of public administration bound for rectification of obligors' behaviour and protection of public interest. This institute, being common in administrative practice, affects a considerable number of individuals. In accordance with the legal order, a great amount of administrative bodies is entitled to solve and sanction misdemeanours within the framework of various fields of human activities. Misdemeanour procedure is designed as a specific sort of administrative proceedings built-up on the subsidiarity principle of the Act No. 500/2004 Sb. (Code of Administrative Procedure), which constitutes general rules about administrative proceedings. Devitations from the general provisions for administrative proceedings reasoned by the specificity of the object of the procedure are arranged in the Act No. 200/1990 Sb. (Misdemeanours Act) and in some other special acts....

Jourová, Lenka ; Housarová, Blanka (referee)
The theme of my elaboration dissertation are breathing exercises in the logopaedical practice, with the concentration on rhinolalia aperta and rhinolalia clausa. In the theoretical part, the anatomy and embryology of the respiratory tract, as well as the physiology and pathology of respiration are defined. The influence of breathing on the body posture, definition of rhinolalia aperta and palatolalia follow. In conclusion, breathing at rhinolalia aperta. Further the elaboration dissertation describes rhinolalia clausa and the most common cause vegetationes adenoideae. In the next part is discussed the problematic of adenotomia. The last part of the theoretical part is dedicated to breathing exercises according to their function. The practical part is focused on the application of the breathing exercises on three tested children placed in a special nursery and ten children with rhinolalia clausa, who undergone breathing exercises within the therapy in logopaedical workplace. The practical part also contents a questionnaire about the parents' knowledge what to do after adenotomia, results evaluation and forming of a educative leaflet, which could explain to parents adenotomia and following treatment. The results of my project can help to extend the spectrum of the breathing exercises used in the logopaedical...

Title: Effect of pregnancy on the stability of women Aim of work: This work aims to verify the influence of increasing body weight and abdominal circumference of women in the third trimester of pregnancy, changes in gait, the step length and width, reaction time and deviation of gravity. I also wanted to map the most common problems that women in this period of pregnancy is accompanied. Methodology: On the sample of thirty pregnant women who participated in the exercising were demonstrated changes in stability, walking, and speed of response and deviation of gravity. Interview have been mapped using the most common problems the women have during pregnancy. It was used to assess the balance-master device and other commonly used diagnostic methods. Results: Hypotheses could not be objectively confirmed because of any other comparable studies. It managed to prevent the development of pregnancy problems. Keywords: pregnancy, physical activity, stability, changes during pregnancy, problems during pregnancy - 13 -

Proměna pojetí Vestfálského suverenity v rámci Společné Zahraniční a Bezpečnostní Politiky Evropské Unie
Uzelman, Alexandra ; Sršeň, Radim (advisor) ; Rolenc, Jan Martin (referee)
The work overviews the formation process of the European integration after the end of the Cold war and also the evolution of the notion of 'the Westphalian sovereignty' in the framework of the maintenance of the EU CFSP. It is assumed that under the conditions of a political transformation of the category 'the Westphalian sovereignty' in the framework of the EU CFSP it is intensified and requires again as a special political and practical attention, as scientific elaboration in order to figure out the perspectives of the development of the EU as the whole. As the object of this work the category of 'the Westphalia sovereignty' and its evolution in the framework of the European integration processes are taken. The subject of the work is connected with the analysis of the phenomenon of the Westphalian sovereignty in the frames of building of common European defense and security policy of the EU. The main purpose of the work is closely entwined with the identification of significant peculiarities of the ongoing transformation of the CFSP and their influence on the category of 'the Westphalian sovereignty'.

Meaningfulness of Life Despite a Physical Disability
Javornická, Ester Eliška ; Cimlerová, Pavla (advisor) ; Grohmanová, Hana (referee)
In the submitted thesis I deal with a complicated life topic of a person with a physical disability whose life cannot correspond to current expectations and demands of a contemporary person who does not have a physical disability. A man or woman with a physical disability cannot meet all the standards and demands which are imposed on a "normal" person living in today's society. Determination in the form of a physical disability continually sticks to a person. This disability never leaves him; it always reminds him that he is not the unlimited lord of his body, time, and life. All of us during our lifetime have probably met a person whose life is marked with a physical disability. It is common that they live among us. However, we may in fact know nothing about them. We can only see their "shells" - but we know nothing about what is hidden inside. Our ideas of people with physical disabilities are often distorted by a series of false myths and concepts. In my thesis, I also deal with false ideas and myths of "healthy" people in the lives of people with disabilities. However, I primarily focus on experiencing the lives of the people with disabilities themselves. I was looking for an answer to the question "Which level of meaningful life is experienced by people with physical disabilities?" I looked not only in...

Málek, Josef ; Zoulík, František (advisor) ; Smolík, Petr (referee)
Legal force and enforcement of judgment Resumé In introduction of this work I write about principles and historical development of the Civil Procedure or civil proceedings at first from view to common development and then from the sight to development in Czech country. This introduction is important for outline and understanding of the civil proceedings as a whole and resulting connection with legal force and enforcement of judgment from this. In the next part of this work I interpret a fundamental conception of these subjects such as legal force, enforcement and decision. I analyze a basic concept of legal force and their effects on the participants in proceedings. The basic conditions which must be discharged for decision can really come info force and resulting state for affected person too. I analyze legal force and enforcement of judgment from the point of view of the formal legal force, material legal force and enforcement of judgment too. I give an attention to the conditions for the come into force issued decisions and estoppels to the further proceedings. I deal with rights of remedy such as regular remedy (in the case of use they suspend coming into force decisions), extraordinary relieves (they can contest decisions which already came into force), which are together a break point to the...
