Financial analysis is tool, which reveals financial health, performance and other attributes of firm. It serves as complex insight on financial health and conditions as well as profits of firm in observed periods. From financial analysis we are able to inquire and conclude deductions, which can be of service to better management in company. With aid of index ratios, horizontal a vertical analysis and other parameters we verify real efficiency of these ratios.

Analysis of the economic efficiency of the company TRW Volant Inc.

Diploma thesis deals with evaluation of the economic situation of the company TRW Volant Inc. in the years 2003 -- 2007 and assessment of its financial health by analysing the chosen economic indicators. There are shortly described the individual phases of financial analysis as a basic instrument of the economic analysis in the theoretical part and there are also explained some basic terms. The practical part is focused on further identification of the company and the branch where it operates in, and also on aplication of theoretical analyses by means of mathematic calculation and graphic comparison. For the analysis purposes I used f.e. ratio indexes from the sphere of profitability, liquidity, structure of capital, activity and capital market, value index EVA, chosen bankruptcy and financial standing models, Du Pont's pyramidal decomposition etc. One of the component parts is also comparison of the analysed company with an average of the branch.

Ekonomická analýza vybraného průmyslového podniku

Předmětem diplomové práce je zpracování ekonomické analýzy vybraného průmyslové podniku s využitím nástrojů a metod finanční a ekonomické analýzy. Cílem práce je na základě detailní analýzy účetních a interních dat z let 2003 až 2008 prozkoumat vnitřní ekonomické závislosti, specifické pro daný podnik, a na základě toho co nejpřesněji predikovat stav na konci roku 2009. Součástí analýzy je také podrobné odvětvové srovnání podniku s využitím výpočtu hodnoty EVA pomocí metodiky pyramidového rozkladu ročního ukazatele EVA-INFA, jak ji používá Ministerstvo průmyslu a obchodu ČR. Kromě jiného je cílem práce doporučit vedení analyzovaného podniku opatření, která by vedla v roce 2009 a dalších letech ke zlepšení ukazatele EVA.

The main aim of my bachelor work is financial analysis and evaluation of financial health of the company Lázně Teplice v Čechách, a.s. in years 2004 -- 2007. It is a financial analysis from the view of external user. For evaluation of the financial standing of this company were used horizontal and vertikal analysis, ratio analysis and some of moredimensional models for prediction of corporate bankruptcy. It contains comparison with some companies in the branch of spas.

The main purpose of presented diploma work is complex assessment of financial position of company Stavby silnic a železnic a. s. in 2003 - 2007, recognition of causes and proposal of possible steps leading to improvement. Partial aim of my work is comparison of bonding and bankrupting models applied to the mentioned company and mutual confrontation of these two models. Further aim is calculation of economic added value and subsequent analysis of input variable parameters sensitivity in relation to economic value added. Third partial purpose concerns the intercompany comparison and confrontation of this company with relevant branch.

The financial analysis of Aero Vodochody, a.s.

The aim of this thesis is to carry out economic analysis of Aero Vodochody, to analyze its current development and see whether the methods of analysis reflect the negative trend in the past. This should be reflected in values, which will be applied the method to acquire. The operational objective of this thesis is also to try to apply the method of Harry Pollak, which belongs to the methods of comprehensive evaluation of the business entity. It is an assessment of the vitality of the enterprise. This method is substantially subjective and relatively young, which explains the fact that it is somewhat less widespread.

Financial Analysis

The goal of this bachelor degree thesis is to perform a financial analysis of a company that has been chosen. The thesis is focused on ascertaining of company's financial health between 2002 and 2007 and strives to estimate the company's future development. The reason for choosing ASL, a.s. was that it had been for a long period of time in a state of financial insolvency that had been most remarkable between 2004 and 2005. The thesis consists of two parts, the theoretical one and practical one. In the theoretical part of the thesis I define the methods and procedures which are later on used in practical part. Practical part is divided into several other parts. At the beginning of the practical part I introduce the ASL, a.s. and explain its specialization. After that the horizontal and vertical analysis of the balance sheet and income statement, ratio analysis and other methods that enable company's financial evaluation. In the last part of the thesis the peer group analysis is performed in order to compare company's results to those of similar company.

Application methods on economic analysis in firm Neuman s.r.o. and value calculating

The diploma work is focused on theoretical and practical analysis of methods of feasibility study and calculation of firm's value by method of discounted free cash flows. Tendencies of development and firm's weak points for past 6 years have been discovered by using various analysis. I was comparing change of individual indicators with the main indicator rentability on equity. The conclusion of my study is:" In case of increase in rentability on equity, we can expect improvement also of other indicators."
