Variscan and pre-Variscan tectonometamorphic processes in external zones of the Bohemian Massif-examples from the Krkonoše-Jizera Massif and the Letovice Complex
Žáčková, Eliška ; Konopásek, Jiří (advisor) ; Kachlík, Václav (referee) ; Kryza, Ryszard (referee)
Tectonometamorphic processes in external zones of the Bohemian Massif during Lower Palaeozoic were studied in this work. The studied areas cover the northeastern part of the Saxothuringian Domain (Krkonoše-Jizera Massif) and the Letovice Complex located between the western margin of the Moravian Zone and the eastern edge of the Moldanubian Domain. Evolution of both these units was influenced by Early Palaeozoic rifting and Devonian- Carboniferous Variscan orogenesis. In the Saxothuringian Domain, Variscan processes were connected with subduction of the Saxothuringian ocean below the easterly exposed core of the Bohemian Massif and resulted in the development of high-pressure low-temperature metamorphism. Thermodynamic modelling of metamorphic evolution in metapelites from the Krkonoše-Jizera Massif suggests that these rocks record peak pressure conditions of ≥18-19 kbar at 460-520řC followed by isothermal decompression to pressures of 10.5-13.5 kbar and final decompression to <8.5 kbar and <480řC. The calculated peak P-T conditions indicate a high-pressure/low-temperature apparent thermal gradient of ~ 7-7.5 řC km-1 . Laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) isotopic dating and electron microprobe chemical dating of monazite give ages of 330 ±10 Ma and 328 ±6 Ma,...

Osteoporosis - radiologic aspects
DAŠEK, Oldřich
OSTEOPOROSIS is a serious generalised bone disease which results in their increased fragility. It appears in the highest rate at older age. Goal Getting familiar with osteoporosis and comparing radiation doses of patients in case of kyphoplastics and vertebroplastics. Comparison of doses on different equipment and among different methods. Effort to cut down doses for both a patient and attending staff on the performance. Methodology In 2007, care was given to 46 patients in our station using percutaneous vertebroplastics and kyphoplastics. An angiographic set (Siemens - axiom artis) and a mobile C-arm (Ziehm - exposcope 8000) were used to navigate the action for 30 and 16 patients, respectively. The measured doses were assessed for the patients, average doses for vertebroplastics and for kyphoplastics were calculated, and these were compared one against the other. We also assessed the dose in relation to the number of treated vertebra for a single patient and anatomical zones of position of these vertebrae. And finally, we determined the average doses for the instruments and compared them one against the other. Results The lowest doses have been achieved in treating vertebral bodies of TH spine, and the highest value appeared in the performance when three vertebrae have been treated together. The results from comparison of the average dose on both instruments show that the average dose of a patient navigated with the angiographic set is by some 55 % lower against patients with the C-arm used. The value measured for kyphoplastics is by some 50 % lower than for vertebroplastics. Conclusion The results of the study show that kyphoplastics is more desirable concerning the dose, but the economic view is against, as well that it suits rather to acute fractures. The benefit of this work is the comparison of the doses for the surgeries on two types of instruments. We have shown that the selection of the suitable instrument can have impact of the resulting dose for the patient, as well the dose for attending staff. In our case, the effect was up to 55%. The outcome will be the effort to perform the maximum of these actions using the angiographic set and to minimise the total dose.

Draft investment plan households in the Czech Republic
Hlavsová, Eliška ; Hálová, Pavlína (advisor) ; Mach, Jiří (referee)
This thesis titled Draft Investment Plan Czech households is dedicated to the diversification of funds into investment instruments based on observed monthly net income and mandatory spending. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the investment and savings tools and methodology for the calculation of the final amount of the saved and evaluated. The methodology of calculations, in the same part describes the procedure for calculating values achieved. In the practical part of the proposed plan of allocation of financial resources of households, which differ in the amount of monthly income and choice of investment strategy, but the structure is identical requirements. The aim is to design the appropriate tools that within this timeframe will assess household deposits in requested amounts.

Calculation of elasticity and plasticity of microcrystalline cellulose PH 102
Křivková, Blanka ; Řehula, Milan (advisor) ; Musilová, Marie (referee)
1 Abstract Calculation of Elasticity and Plasticity of Microcrystalline Celullose PH 102 Mgr. Blanka Křivková, 2007 Microcrystalline celullose is widely used as a filler for direct compression. Avicel PH 102 is very often used because of its size of particles (100 μm), appropriate, bulk volume, compressibility. The aim of Rigorous thesis was to calculate plasticity and elasticity using different methods, to describe Young's modulus of elasticity and complete confront plasticity from monitored microcrystalline cellulose. The plasticity was determined from graphs showing the decreasing trend of force on the time. For the evaluation was used three methods. The first one used "one-point" evaluation and put into rate value of maximal and minimal forces. The second one used "one-parameter" evaluation by the help of parameter t1 and third one "three-parameter" evaluation by the help of parameter t1, t2 and t3. Young's modulus of elasticity expresses stiffness of material and is very important for determination of plasticity. Two sections of curve from graphs showing the dependence of the plasticity on the compression force can be distinguished. The first one characterized the phase of precompression, second one characterized the plastic deformacion of tablets. We also confirmed the influence of different type of...

Alternative methods of estimating potential output and the output Gap: An application to Czech
Krasnovský, Pavol ; Brůna, Karel (advisor) ; Kuncl, Martin (referee)
The text discusses some used methods for estimating potential product and output gaps based on aggregated data for the Czech Republic. Though these methods exhibit some common features, an empirical comparison demonstrates that the various techniques differ substantially. In particular, the correlation of output gaps calculated with different methods is generally low , the methods imply different turning points. To conclude, the methods for estimating potential product a used have only limited information content for macroeconomics.

Characterization of low-molecular-mass synthetic markers of isoelectric points by capillary zone electrophoresis and capillary isoelectric focusing
Brandejsová, Martina ; Kašička, Václav (advisor) ; Kubíčková, Anna (referee)
High-performance electromigration separation methods, capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) and capillary isoelectric focusing (CIEF), have been applied to physico-chemical characterization of new synthetic low-molecular mass markers of isoelectric points. Amphoteric compounds on the basis of aminomethylnitrophenols, their derivatives and other structurally related substances were analyzed by CZE in a series of background electrolytes in a wide pH range, 1.86 - 11.18. From the measured pH dependencies of effective electrophoretic mobilities of analytes (beforehand corrected to reference temperature of 25 řC), their isoelectric points (pI) were determined. In addition, using the non-linear regression analysis of the above dependencies, acid-base dissociation constants (pKa) of ionogenic groups of selected analytes were calculated. Subsequently, the analytes with sharply defined isoelectric points were analyzed by CIEF. CIEF confirmed applicability of these compounds as markers of isoelectric points for calibration of pH gradient in CIEF in the determination of pI of amphoteric compounds, especially peptides and proteins. The determined pKa values of ionogenic groups in particular compounds will be utilized in the development of new pI markers with desired pI values.

Vztah vlastností rezonančního dřeva k podmínkám růstu
Drábek, Ondřej
This work summarizes previously published research on resonant spruce wood. It focuses mainly on the properties of resonant wood to the terms of its growth. The individual values of different authors are compared with each other and summarized into concrete results, so that results could be used to search for potential sites with the possibility of an increase in the resonant layers of wood. To facilitate interpretation and subsequent application there was drawn a map of the potential occurrence of resonant wood in the Czech republic, based on the average annual temperature and rainfall, slope and orientation, optimum altitude and vegetation zones.

Černá, Veronika ; Polášek, Miroslav (referee) ; Pospíšilová, Marie (advisor)
It has been designed tITP - CZE method with a reversed electro-osmotic flow for the analysis of seven organic acids of natural origin. It was monitorated the effect of boric buffer concentration, pH effect, the addition of organic solvent, the addition of cyclodextrin, concentration of NaCl as a stacker, and injection time. Measurements were made in voltage - 30 kV in capillary with inner diameter 50 μm and effective length 68 cm. Optimum separation conditions were found at a concentration of 125mM boric buffer, pH 8,2, the addition of 0,001% hexadimethrinbromid and addition of 10mM and 2,6-di-O- methylcyklodextrin. The stacker was used at a concentration of 200mM NaCl and injection time was 90 s. Intracapillary thermal gradient from 20o C to 24řC during electrophoresis has yielded improved resolution for the analytes.

The role of the Czech national bank after the accession of Czech republic to the monetary union
Dráská, Johana ; Ježek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Dočkal, Dalibor (referee)
The accession to the European Monetary Union is fundamentally changing the role of the Czech national bank. Aim of this work is to describe and evaluate this new role of the CNB in connection with the transfer of its former powers to the ECB. The theoretical part of the work deals with the role of central banking in general, the role of the CNB before the accession to the EMU and the role of ECB in monetary union. The work reviews compliance with the conditions required for the accession to the EMU. Further it focuses on the analysis of CNB monetary policy in recent years, particularly its interest rates policy. In view of the future situation in the field of monetary policy the work draws on the experience of Slovakia after its entry into the euro zone and respondes to the question of whether uniform monetary policy is equally applicable to all member states of the euro area by using the Theory of Optimum Currency Area. The work also analyzes the actions of the ECB and the CNB caused by the current economic crisis.
