Revitalization of the Padělky housing estate in Ždánice
Culek, Lukáš ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Smělý, Martin (advisor)
The main point of this diploma thesis is revitalization of housing estate called Padělky in Ždánice. The housing estate is located in the northwestern part of the village. There are nine roads in zone 30. Two of them were already repaired in the first stage. The housing estate is without a transport solution and without the possibility of legal parking. Now the roads are devastated, there are potholes, holes and cracks. Six roads were reconstructed, two were extended. This brought the possibility of detours and improved transport. The new design legalizes the parking space. There are new built parking spaces, too. Conditions for the inhabitants of the housing estate are improving. There are new trees, bushes, rosary, furniture and waste bins. The public lighting will be replaced.
"Fiat lux!" Public Lighting in Czech Towns in 19th and the Beginning of 20th Century
Jelínek, David ; Himl, Pavel (advisor) ; Pokludová, Andrea (referee)
The phenomenon of introducing public lighting in Czech cities is mainly associated with the increase in population in regionally important centres of industry, trade, craft, or administration. Unlike classical historiographical monographs, this work aims to investigate how the introduction of public lighting took place, who was involved in it, and what was at stake. Through the analysis of literary sources, particularly newspaper articles (both national and local) and archival records, the thesis seeks to highlight the attributes of light not only as a purely practical urban element, but also as a carrier of symbolic levels of security and progress. It is shown that light played an important role as a maintainer of security and prevented criminal behaviour by its presence. It is further revealed that light was a manifestation of civilization, education, and progress. Having public lighting on the streets was therefore not only a practical but also a symbolic issue. It was also reflected in the electoral programs of local political parties. It was not, however, the municipalities that incurred considerable costs in upgrading the lighting infrastructure (setting up gas plants, power stations, laying pipes); it was private entities that entered into contracts with municipalities for decades. However,...
Use of Luminance Analyser for the Quantification of Artificial Light at Night
Novák, Filip ; Motyčka, Martin (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with obtrusive light and its measurement, especially with the help of luminance analyzers. In particular, the necessary theoretical basis for the design of a measuring methodology for obtrusive light or veil brightness of the sky is laid here. This mainly includes the division of obtrusive light and its manifestations, a description of the effects of obtrusive light on the environment, selected organisms and the human body. Also described herein are the biological mechanisms of the human body that are affected by light as such. Attention is also paid to streetlights, its classification and methods of reducing obtrusive light, as well as methods of measuring brightness and brightness analyzers. Last but not least, the night sky is also measured using the LumiDISP luminance analyzer and subsequent data are evaluated using the proposed method.
Reverse calculation of the luminous intensity curves of street lighting luminaires
Knápková, Dagmar ; Baxant, Petr (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with the reverse calculation of luminous curves for roads according to ČSN EN 13201. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part describes the basic requirements and procedures for calculating the luminous curves. The practical part describes the program, created in the Matlab environment, which is designed for the practical calculation of the ideal luminous curve, for each situation given by the user. Further particular example of the calculation is given.
Construction of conduit of technical equipment in the municipality
Hrachovinová, Petra ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with a technical equipment in an urbanized area, especially with underground lines of 3rd and 4th category (according to the Czech norms). The theoretical part consists of research of species, methods, principles of conduction and connections, and materials of underground lines. In the practical part, there are applied basic gained knowledge for a construction of technical equipment in the development location in a village called Náklo.
Street Lighting Control
Kořenek, Jan ; Krbal, Michal (referee) ; Štěpánek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals in a theoretical part with the origin of the light, his features and lighttechnical quantities. There are also characterized light sources, which are currently most used to control street lighting. There are further described basics of the street light and currently most used ways of street lighting control. Further part of this thesis is focused on practical control of different types of light sources and monitoring their parameters, such as luminous flux, power, efficiency or correlated colour temperature during voltage reduction. These light sources are high pressure sodium lamps, halogenid lamp, fluorescent lamp and high pressure mercury lamp. Main conclusion from measurements are several cross characteristics, where is possible to monitor behavior of the parameters during voltage reduction. The last part concerned about practical street lighting control in Bezděkov, which is a village located near Havlíčkův Brod. There was connected the dimmer. On the street was created net of points according to the standard. In these points were measured illuminance for voltage 230 V and then for lower voltages 210 V and 190 V. These values were processed and average and minimum value was compared with the value defined in the standard.
Lighting and lighting systems for stand-alone applications
Čejka, Lukáš ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of lighting systems for stand-alone applications. These systems are independent of the electrical connection and they are powered by batteries. Batteries are charged by independent sources. The work is more focused on an autonomous lighting system that uses a solar panel. It mentions the main components of the system. Furthermore, in this work, we can find types of stand-alone lighting applications, their possibilities, problems, advantages and disadvantages, economic balance and also outline other possible solutions.
Design of public lighting for the improvement of road safety
Krejčí, Miroslav ; Fojtášek, Jan (referee) ; Zháňal, Lubor (advisor)
This paper is focused on quality assessment of public lighting systems. These systems are compared to the standard requirements of road lighting rules. Inconvenient systems are redesign with help of lighting design software DIALux in order to fulfill these rules. Part of this paper is dedicated to other issues like pedestrian crossings, color effect and economy.
The lighting map in GIS
Nejedlý, Lukáš ; Potočňák, Tomáš (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the lighting of roads and public areas. The work is divided into two parts. First part is focused on the basic terms of lighting technology, measurement methodology and appropriate hygiene standards. The paper also discussed electric light sources used in public lighting and basic information on the geographic information system ArcGIS, which was used during the processing of the measured values. The second part is focused on the measurement of illuminance in Žďár nad Sázavou and graphical analysis of the measured values in ArcView GIS. The measured values of the illumination were compared with hygenic limits standard ČSN 13 201.
Economic Efficiency and Financial Feasibility of Project Realized by Municipality
Vik, Vladimir ; Hejduková, Amálie (referee) ; Hromádka, Vít (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a public lighting and its direct impact on the financial management of the municipality. Within this analysis the basic methods and ways, which the municipality use in the field of a management and a maintenance of the public lighting system, were described. The eventual form of the reconstruction of the public lighting in the Černožice village was also proposed. In a response to this proposal possible ways of financing this investment project were subsequently outlined. The secondary aim of this thesis was to create a concise database of implemented projects of the reconstruction in other municipalities and comparison of these results.
