Implementation of Lean Six Sigma in Catering

The aim of the thesis is to suggest recommendation to optimize and increase efficiency in a process of catering ordering in a company Express Deli by using methods of lean six sigma. The work is built as real project od lean six sigma using some methods of the methodology lean six sigma. In the theoretical part of the thesis, methods of lean six sigma used in the practical part, are described. These methods are mainly methods of process mapping. Each chapter is a step of DMAIC methodology. Core part of the thesis is process mapping at a customer side, so in the other part there are all recommendations directly focused on customers requirements. The results of the work are suggested proposals for process improvement. Some of them were implemented during the project.

The first section contains the theoretical background to explain used procedures and methods. The second part is focused on the analysis of the current state of the information system in the company. The last section contains design, possible solutions in the implementation of application and economic evaluation.

This work deals with the design of the information system for small bakery Majdy Ltd.. Analyzes rhe current state of the information system and informtion technologies and on the basis of this analysis and the requirements of the company describes the design of a new inormation system. The work describes the different parts of the information system and using flow charts are shown ways to work with these parts.

Identification and assessment of errors in the assembly line of the pneumatic valves

This thesis is focused on identification and evaluation of errors during pneumatic valve assembly. Theoretical part describes tools used: quality gate, flow chart, Pareto diagram and FMEA analysis. Within practical part the current assembly process is analyzed with current errors and besides evaluation, the improvement priorities and ways to accomplish these improvements in an actual company are defined. If the company chooses to take the opportunity to implement these improvements, thesis also monitors the results and reaction to the change of the analyzed process to a certain point.

Optimization of production process

Optimization is understood as costs minimization while keeping an acceptable continuity of supply. The dissertation contains a description of technological and non-manufacturing processes of brick products, as well as the summary and description of the basic tools of quality management.

This thesis deals with the general principle of technology as a partial freight logistics center services ČSAD Hodonín, as The paper first lists and describes the activities related to the operation of logistics centers, which are further supplemented by an analysis of the operation, focusing on the loading, unloading and transfer batches of different manufacturing companies. This thesis is further supplemented by a theoretical approach with potential applications in the actual operation. The result is then draft general technological progress in the transportation of goods from the factory to the logistics center using its own freight.
