Peter Turrini as a schocking and sympathetic playwright on an example of selected plays (Die Minderleister, Tod und Teufel, Josef und Maria)
Kučabová, Jana ; Glosíková, Viera (referee) ; Bučková, Tamara (advisor)
TITLE: Peter Turrini as a schocking and sympathetic playwright on an example of selected plays (Die Minderleister, Tod und Teufel, Josef und Maria) SUMMARY: This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of key plays of the Austrian author Peter Turrini. The first part focuses on the biographical portrait of the author, the description of relations and influencies on his work and a list of his plays and screenplays. Literary and sociopolitical context of his work is mentioned in this part and Turrini's relationship to his motherland Austria is specified. The second part concentrates on the analysis of the three key plays in terms of author's development of views. In this analysis the configurations of characters and their metamorphoses in time are scrutinized. This analysis is done by means of an inductive method, which describes the plot chronologically, comments on it and defines the changes of the configurations. The result of the scrutiny is the evaluation of the development. KEY WORDS: Configurations, development of a character, drama, irony, contrast, paradox, provocation, sympathy, atonement 1

The Factor of Water in Central Asia
Kopajová, Zuzana ; Horák, Slavomír (advisor) ; Šír, Jan (referee)
The final thesis Factor o f Water in Central Asia presents an analysis of the phenomena of trans-boundary water interaction in the Aral Sea basin. Particular attention is given to the emerging political inter-state and regional affairs, connected to international management and security at Syr Darya and Amu Darya rivers. Global hydro-politics debates offer various theoretical frameworks of approaching the inter-state water relations. Theories such as Integrated Water Resource Management, Environmental Security and Hydro-Hegemony are explored with the ambition to find a comprehensive research background for our case studies. Thereafter, the theory is applied to the particular negotiating constellations in the Central Asian water basins. The case studies at Amu Darya and Syr Darya rivers illustrate several interesting cleavages, for example between: (1) upstream and downstream riparian states; (2) irrigation and hydropower; (3) water and energy; (4) geopolitics and international law; (5) national and regional affairs. Central Asian water situation is perceived in the context of geopolitics; economic and human development; culturally-historical background and future potential challenges. Further we present, the overall tendencies in the Newly Independent States, consequences of the Aral Sea catastrophe and the...

Psychological Problemacy of Violin Playing

Psychological Problem of Playing on the Violin

The analysis of match plot - standard situation
Vojáček, Lumír ; Buzek, Mario (advisor) ; Zahálka, František (referee)
Resumé Title: The analysis ofmatch plot- standard situation Work objectives: The analysis of fruitfulness and performance of the offensive activity during the standard situations. The determination of key factors leading to overcoming the rival's defense and scoring a goal at standard situations from the World championship 2006 and Champions leagues 2004/2005 a 2005/2006. Graphic demonstrations and description of particular standard situations which were finished with the goal. Methods: The research was accomplished by indirect observation from DVD with all goals scored at these competitions. There was used the qualitative and quantitative analysis at this research. There were followed all the elements of performance in each standard situation. The graphic demonstration of each standard situation has showed us the models, which we can break in to the training process and transfer to another performance group. Results: The results show us which methods of playing the standard situations were used at the world championship. Also the new methods which lead to scoring a goal and the frequency of appearance ofthese factors. Keywords: Football, the standard situation, the attack activity, free kick, comer kick, throw-in, penalty kick.

Spacetimes with photon rockets
Kolář, Ivan ; Podolský, Jiří (advisor) ; Krtouš, Pavel (referee)
In this work we study exact spacetimes that represent the gravitational field of a localized object accelerating due to an anisotropic emission of photons - pho- ton rocket. First, we describe general properties of the Kinnersley and the Bonnor rocket, which both belong to the family of Robinson-Trautman spacetimes. Sub- sequently, we summarize two main approaches to the study of asymptotically flat spacetimes: the Bondi-Sachs and the Penrose methods, combined and modified by Tafel and Pukas in recent papers. We compare the mass aspect of the Robinson- Trautman spacetime obtained by both methods, and generalize thus the relation found by von der Gönna and Kramer. Next, we calculate the energy-momentum vector, the Bondi rest mass, and the "news tensor for the arbitrarily moving Kin- nersley rocket. By using these results, we naturally define the velocity vector of the rocket with respect to the Minkowski "background spacetime. We conclude with the physical interpretation of the Kinnersley rocket in various reference fra- mes.

Letters of Saint Columbanus - translation and interpretation
Calábek, Pavel ; Ventura, Václav (advisor) ; Novotný, Vojtěch (referee)
ANGLICKÝ ABSTRAKT Title: Letters of Saint Columbanus - translation and interpretation Author: Pavel Calábek Personalities of Irish saints and Irish spirituality seem to be almost unknown in our country and they are pushed to the very edge of our attention. However there was a time when they played a dominant part of the process of Western Europe christianization. This diploma work consists of four main chapters and its goal is to introduce a personality of St. Columban and his activity in Western Europe to our reader. For this purpose the Columban's correspondence is chosen. The letters can describe this saint in the best fashion. This diploma shouldn't be the pure monography however. It should rather draw him and his activities in historical background and contexture. We can find a treatise about the head themes from his letters in the main part. It includes the great Eastern controversy and circumstances, based on the collision of two paschal cycles. Furthermore there is described the saint's involvement in the Three Chapters controversy too. The last main theme is focused on the relationship of Columban - abbot and founder - to his foundations and to the monasticism generally. The goal was to testimony about this holy man in stright way - with his possitive and even negative sides. Also to excite the...

Probabilistic Models and Methods for the Analysis of Sports Results
Rambousková, Daniela ; Saxl, Ivan (referee) ; Volf, Petr (advisor)
The statistical modelling on a sports field is in the process of a great development. Sports clubs have gradually changed into commercial companies and thus many possibilities how to take advantages of statistical instruments have emerged. Undoubtedly, the most popular task is the prediction of possible future results. The first part of this thesis summarizes the most interesting methods and types of solutions that were developed primarily for football matches. In this case the Poissons' regression models are mainly used. However, when the influences of time are taken into consideration, these models become more difficult and complicated for computations. The second part deals with the statistical survival analysis and random point processes and tries to find its utilization and connection with the predictions of the results of sports matches. On the basis of the Cox' regression model, a simple model for ice-hockey matches is derived here. This model estimates offensive and defensive forces of every team and other influences, for instance power plays and home environment. It describes the match as a random point process, where the time of scoring represents its random points. The model is applied on the data obtained from the first thirteen rounds of the Czech National Ice-hockey League and the received...
