Quasi-parallel optimizing of simulated systems by means of genetic algorithms
Konopa, Michal ; Neruda, Roman (referee) ; Kindler, Evžen (advisor)
This work goals are SIMULA classes to model experts sessions so that each expert has his own start ideas the optimal system's parameters. All the experts are simulating the system (each expert with his own parameters), but during the simulation they are mutually exchanging information about behavior of theirs models and - in accordance with this information - they are learning, changing their own system parameters. The learning process is performed by means of genetic algorithms. The resulting optimizer is tested on concrete examples, both from the mathematical theory and real practice (e.g. optimizing of a given project). This work reassumes the dissertation of RNDR. Jiří Weinberger. CSc., who made similar type of optimizer in the 80es, when nothing concrete was known on genetic algorithms and so the experts learning scheme was modeled by techniques, which had great success in solution of real problems afterwards; but nowadays it is worth to replace them by genetic algorithms, or at least to compare both methods. Genetic algorithms are successfully used in systems optimization, where the model run is algorithmic-managed, but never in the way of directly changing the models during their running times. Parallel run of multiple simulating models on the computer equipped with only one processor requires...

Model of synchronous PM machine based on equivalent reluctance network
Sporni, Peter ; Lapčík, Josef (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
Táto práca pojednáva o problematike vytvárania a simulácie reluktančnej sieti synchrónneho stroja s V tvarovanými permanentnými magnetmi v programe PSpice. Neskôr nahradíme lineárne odpory reprezentujúce plechy nelineárnymi a počítame s precovnou teplotou permanentných magnetov. Potom porovnáme naše výsledky s FEM metódou počítanými hodnotami a vypočítame indukované napätie v jednej cievke stroja. Na záver vypočítame výkonovú a momentovú charakteristiku stroja.

Pomocou programu Ansys Workbench spravíme 3D model tohoto stroja budeme a porovnávať výsledky simulácie.

Durability of repair materials with higher fire resistance for concrete structures
Počekajlo, Václav ; Dohnálek,, Pavel (referee) ; Bydžovský, Jiří (advisor)
This dissertation deals with the study of durability and degradation repair mortars for reinforced concrete structures. In its theoretical part, there are the research findings on the behavior of repair mortars exposed to corrosive environments with different exposure time and selected high temperatures. Processes occurring in repair mortars during their loading at high temperatures or when exposed to chemically aggressive environments are described, We can find recipes designed for cementitious binder based with a specific replacement using slag or fly ash in its practical part. The object of the research was to determine the durability of the proposed repair mortars, and determine their suitability for use on concrete structures, which may be exposed to a synergistic effect of chemically aggressive environments with high temperatures simulating fire.

Artificial aorta for activity demonstration of intraaortal baloon contrapulsation
Bičiště, Jan ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
This dissertation work describes design and construction of simulated aorta device intended to demonstrate performance of the intra-aortal balloon catheter (IAB), and to test reaction of the contra-pulsation pump during simulated cardiac output in conditions of tachycardia, bradycardia and arrhythmia. The major part of the device is transparent plastic tube. The pressure pulses (waves) are generated inside this plastic tube to simulate real cardiac output. These pressure pulses are generated by step motor with membrane. The step motor is controlled by programmable control system AMiNi-E. Individual pressure pulses simulate cardiac output in conditions of tachycardia, bradycardia and arrhythmia. Required simulated cardiac output is selected by control switches. Generated pressure pulses are read by pressure sensor and are transferred to the control system of the configuration computer. Read data can be displayed as graphs in program Microsoft Excel. The intra-aortal balloon catheter (IAB) is inserted inside the aorta and is connected with contra-pulsation pump which on pressure pulse is responding.

Maňák, David ; Maršálek, Roman (referee) ; Urban, Josef (advisor)
Main goal of this dissertation is read over principal and properties of the OFDM modulation. Onward we become acquainted with basic methods for PAPR dynamics reduction in OFDM such as Clipping or Interleaving. Simulation of reduction methods will be realized in Scilab environment, in which are made basic functions for OFDM modulator and demodulator. Furthermore there are created functions for PAPR reduction methods. All established functions are implemented in the GUI.

Compliance Algorithms in dynamic service oriented systems
Šabatová, Ivana ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Ivánek, Jiří (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (referee) ; Gregor, Jiří (referee)
Compliance achievement and assurance of processes and services with regulatory requirements, standards, and business requirements becomes an actual task that should be resolved already in the stage of information systems design and implementation. If the particular business process or business service is supported with an IT system, then the compliance assurance relates also to this supporting system. This dissertation thesis presents the concept of continual compliance management in service oriented systems with a special focus on application of advanced process automation tools. The aim of this thesis was design of methods and procedures for reliability and credibility of business processes both internally in single domain, and in case of business process outsourcing including iterated and/or dynamic outsourcing i.e. in multi-domain environment with a special emphasis on automation level maximization. Particular process and/or service is considered to be reliable and credible if we are able to prove its compliance with the defined requirements in a trusted way. The first part of this thesis is dedicated to traditional methods for compliance achievement and assurance as a basis and inspiration for methods based on high level of automation. The second part of this thesis presents the concept of design, implementation and verification of compliance in service oriented systems. It introduces the terms of ideal target process, Key Assurance Indicator (KAI) and Key Security Indicator (KSA). For multi-domain environment there is the concept of Protection Level Agreement (PLA). This part also covers a new method of business process analysis designed for their automation as well as a concept of business rules design, testing and automation integration. The third part named Conceptual Model of Compliance Assurance in BPMS and Service Oriented Systems Environment brings a method inspired by well-known Deming Cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act), description of the notations selected for compliance algorithm and target process modelling, and first of all the compliance algorithm design. This concept is demonstrated on two case studies of real business processes analyzed in Hospital San Raffaele in Milan, Italy. First of them is an internal business process regulated by regional law, the second study is an example of compliance with business requirement achievement and assurance in multi-domain environment of iterated dynamic outsourcing. These case studies were verified by simulation with subject matter experts and business process activities performers of the hospital personnel.

Educational Simulation in Task Situations (A survey focusing on the aspects of acceptance, interactivity, and authenticity)
Hannemann, Tereza ; Krykorková, Hana (advisor) ; Pinkas, Jaroslav (referee) ; Páchová, Anna (referee)
The dissertation 'Educational Simulation in Task Situations' is focused on a new medium - educational simulation, which is starting to establish itself in the field of education. This work is examining educational simulations from three different points of view: 1) the acceptance of educational simulations in the school environment, 2) the interactivity of learning material, and 3) the authenticity of learning material. The experimental results are divided into three separate chapters according to the respective viewpoint. The investigation focused on acceptance in the first chapter draws from the evaluation of 34 Czech teachers and more than 1000 students, who both evaluated the benefits and shortcomings of particular educational simulations that were used by the teachers and their students. The experiment on interactivity (N = 152) in the second chapter is focused on the experimental comparison of learning material with activated interactive features and learning material with deactivated features. The third experiment on authenticity (N = 48) compares teaching material using authentic media sequences and the same material converted into an animated form. All three main chapters contain a theoretical review of the respective topic and our own experimental research. The methodology is based on the...

Comparison of measurements of the energy expenditure by movement sensors and other standartised methods
Machač, Stanislav ; Slabý, Kryštof (referee) ; Radvanský, Jiří (advisor)
The theoretic part of this dissertation examines the influence of excessive energy intake and low energy expenditure on development of lifestyle diseases. Walking is the most recommended example of basic movement activity and there are emphasised its main health benefits in the work. The theoretical part is further exploring the energy metabolism and focuses especially on the possibility of its measuring. In this work are compared referential methods of monitoring of the energy expenditure to the methods applicable in everyday life. The aim of the practical part is the evaluation of the energy expenditure calculated by algorithms of the Omron HJ-720IT and the SenseWear Armband. As the reference method has been used indirect calorimetry with the use of the analyzer of respiratory gases MedGraphics VO 2000. The monitored activity was the laboratory simulation of walking. The walking has been performed on electronic treadmill, which has generated the predefined speed, gradients and combinations of these factors. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
