Aspects of the Slavic verb "to have" - in grammar. Its auxiliation and the grammaticalization of the European analytic perfect type structures "have" + ppp - Bulgarian, Macedonian, and a corpus based study of Czech
Marvanová, Mira ; Čermák, František (advisor) ; Damborský, Jiří (referee) ; Petkevič, Vladimír (referee)
The verb "to have" is one of significant elements of the ELA (European Linguistic Area). It belongs to the first stage of europeisms, yet it is not part of the IE heritage and its origin is different in the majority of European languages. Another phenomenon of later date which can be considered a europeism of structural type is the emergence and the development of the analytical perfect habere-tenses or constructions of this type in most of the European so-called haberelanguages, including Slavie. We obviously deal here with an expanding process, the original epicenter of which was Vulgar Latin - with some participation of Greek - in the conditions of centuries-long mutual bilingualism. The subsequent process of diffusion and induction developed several euro-zones out which Slavic represents the two last ones. The process of the europeanization, i.e. its spread ("euro-diffusion") from this epicenter to the European Linguistic Area (ELA), took place firstly in Romance, later in Germanic reaching eventually Slavie through two channels at the threshold of the 20th century. ln the South, this process became one ofthe components ofthe Balkan linguistic integration. It proved to be the most intense in Macedonian as well as in some South Bulgarian dialects which were in direct contact with non-Slavic languages of...

Pěničková, Barbora ; Řehořová, Irena (advisor) ; Svoboda, Aleš (referee)
The diploma thesis will be devoted to the theme of traditional and new media, that are becoming dominates the media world and an important part of everyday life. The text aims to introduce television as a medium that is constantly evolving, as well as the and its audience. Based on this assumption, we will examine television from the perspective of several main media theorists. In fact, there are several basically different views on this medium and its audience. Especially older writers such as Pierre Bourdieu, Neil Postman, Jeremy Orlebar or Guy Debord, have become accustomed to television and the overall medial platform as manipulative and television audience passive. On the other hand, there are also several authors, who see media in progress, digitization and the emergence of new media as new possibilities. We are talking about Pierre Levy, Don Tapscott and Axel Bruns. Between the two opposites are still moving Stuart Hall and John Fiske. Special attention will be devoted to the issue of the gradual development of television as a medium and its audience. Television is in fact considered as one of the traditional (old) media, however, it is changing with technological developments and respond to innovation. I will try to answer the question of what television as we know it today, uses of old and...

Aesthetic Distance and Theatre
LOUKOTOVÁ, Veronika
The basic topic of the Bachelor Thesis Aesthetic Distance and Theatre is the explanation of basic characteristics of ?psychical distance? as described in ?Psychical Distance? as a Factor in Art and as an Aesthetic Principle by Edward Bullough. At first, the thesis deals with the distance in general, explains Edward Bullough?s terminology ? the conception of distance, the conception of ?psychical distance?, and the antinomy and variability of distance. Then it concentrates specifically on distance in the art and tries to demonstrate the facts obtained by examples in individual kinds of art. The thesis also contemplates the distance as an aesthetic principle whereby the problems of the ?beautiful? and the ?pleasant? can be explained in aesthetics. Further, this Bachelor Thesis aims at the distance in artistic creation and tries to describe it in one selected kind of art ? the art of drama. The aim of the thesis is to prove that there are several theories of acting, which are extremely different in opinion of distance of actor. The thesis, in concord with the facts gained from Edward Bullough?s text, leans to the theory which is near to the two noted theoreticians of art ? Denis Diderot and Bertolt Brecht. The thesis also aims to give a true picture of their innovative thoughts and views concerning theatre.

Protection of business competition - agreements interfering with competition
Krabec, Martin ; Horáček, Vít (advisor) ; Čech, Petr (referee)
Protection of business competition - agreements interfering with competition Agreements interfering with competition are a significant threat to proper functioning of the competition. Leniency programmes are a powerful tool for the purpose of detection and termination of cartels. This thesis focuses mainly on the regulation contained in the Czech national law. The Community law can not be ignored though as the national law is closely connected therewith. The first part of this thesis contains mainly a basic definition of agreements interfering with competition, their division according to their content as well as division to horizontal and vertical agreements which is important to assess agreements with an insignificant impact on the competition. When assessing the influence of an agreement it is also necessary to take legal and block exemptions into account. The most important cartel assessed by the Office for the Protection of Competition so far is an agreement on the gas insulated switchgear market. For this agreement having a form of bid rigging the Office imposed the highest fine in its history. But this case also demonstrates a frequent problem of significant delays in the court proceedings, which are often initiated by legal actions of undertakings against decisions of the Office for the...

Bočková, Nina ; Dohnal, Mirko (referee) ; Duspiva, Pavel (referee) ; Motyčková, Monika (referee) ; Meluzín, Tomáš (advisor)
This dissertation investigates the possibilities of increased use of direct and indirect support for R&D in small and medium-sized companies operating in branches of the manufacturing industry in the Czech Republic and specialising in the production of computers and electronic and optical instrumentation and equipment. The choice of the topic of this work was motivated by personal experience in a field in which companies either have not had enough information to take advantages of subsidies for research and development or have had negative experience relating to applications for direct support for research and development. These facts have presented obstacles to the realisation of research and development in corporate practice. The aim of this dissertation is to propose a methodology for the use of available tools in support for research and development in the Czech Republic and its verification against real data from selected companies. Data from primary and secondary research was used to investigate the selected area of academic knowledge. A questionnaire investigation was performed on the basis of knowledge obtained from detailed research of Czech and foreign literary sources. The respondents were companies in the electronic industry. The dissertation presents the results of empirical research and an assessment of research questions relating to a comparison of a selected sample of companies actively realising research and development with companies engaged merely in production with no innovative processes. On the basis of questionnaire processing and the testing of research questions, a methodology was created for small and medium-sized companies with the use of fuzzy logic facilitating decision-making in the financing of research and development activities with the use of direct and indirect support. Use of the proposed methodology will allow companies to expand sources of financing for the innovation process as an essential part of the competitive battle in the industry in question. The methodology is a significant aid for strategic decision-making in small and medium-sized companies considering the introduction of research, development and innovation. Benefits of this dissertation can be seen not merely on the theoretical and practical level, but also in the area of education.

The qualitative competitiveness of the entrepreneur environment is the key factor for the economic growth, especially in the current globalized world. The innovation performance is one of the most important factors of qualitative competitiveness, which is mainly influenced by the research and development activities. The character of the Czech entrepreneur sector highlights the importance of innovations especially in the industry. The analysis of the Czech research and development has proven that this area is insufficiently and inefficiently financed, which is also proven by the weak patent performance. The general uncompetitiveness of the Czech entrepreneur environment according to existing international studies topped with the imperfect condition of the research and development have proved that the qualitative competitiveness of the Czech entrepreneur environment lags behind highly developed countries.
