The Labour Market Assertion of Persons with Physical Disability

The thesis deals with the application of persons with disabilities in the labor market. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the notion of disability and classification of body defects. Explains the concept of labor market, human capital and protected labor market. Also deals with the instruments to support the employment of people with disabilities and related legislation on this matter. Further focuses on barriers in the access of persons with disabilities on the labor market. The aim of the practical part of the reply to the main research question: what kinds of barriers are faced by persons with disabilities in finding employment on the open labor market? To answer that question the qualitative research was done using semi-structured interviews with clients Asistence o.p.s.
Importance of Children's Centres influencing an active involvement of the family in the remediation process

The present thesis is concerned with the Importance of Children's Centres influencing an active involvement of the family in the remediation process, a theme so far unexplored in this respect. The objective of the thesis is to design suitable starting points of an individual care plan of families at risk which contribute to returning the child to his or her biological family in the remediation process by way of social rehabilitation. This is fulfilled with respect to partial objectives that reveal the influence of social and pathological effects, partial characteristics of remediation of the family and services rendered, and on the basis of these findings, the author identifies the ways, methods and techniques of health and social work that are applied by Children's Centres in relation to an active involvement of parents in a social rehabilitation process. In addition, the present thesis determines aspects of the multidisciplinary help that assist in participation in the support provided, or, as the case may be, aspects that prevent such participation. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and methodological. The theoretical part is engaged in the family as such, its functions, risk factors, the most common types of parental disorders in relation to a family at risk, families at risk, the contemporary status of care of children at risk. The thesis delineates in detail the forms of threats to children and the key risk factors influencing parents with respect to participation in solving the problem per se. The last chapter scrutinizes the problem of family remediation, its characteristics and stages. Further, the last chapter focuses on activities of "Dětské centrum Jihočeského kraje, o.p.s." [Children's Centre of the South Bohemian Region, public service company] in Strakonice and the social rehabilitation service the Centre provides - ways, methods and techniques of health and social work with families at risk. The content of the methodological part gives an explanation of the importance of the Children's Centre influencing an active involvement of parents in the remediation process using social rehabilitation, by applying the method of a semi-conducted interview as a primary technique of data collection. The data acquired are analysed and interpreted in Chapter eight. Chapter nine presents starting points for an individual care plan that serve, in compliance with the rules enumerated, as a functional tool for achieving an active involvement of parents in the social rehabilitation process. The final chapter concludes and further clarifies the problems at issue.
Social work as part socialization during imprisonment

This diploma thesis focuses on tackling the issue of in-prison rehabilitation and some related factors. The diploma thesis focuses particularly on the specific problems with social rehabilitation during imprisonment and the related programmes. The thesis gives an overview of social rehabilitation and social work. Close attention is paid to social rehabilitation, treatment programmes and social work. Theoretical knowledge is applied in practical use - a questionnaire survey from Plzeň Prison. The survey results show prisoners' opinions on social rehabilitation and treatment programmes.
Influence of sport activities in the process of re-socialization of people with the consequences of stroke

This thesis will be focused on the resocialization and social rehabilitation of people with the consequences of stroke in a combination with sports activities. The aim is to determine the influence of sports activities for social rehabilitation of the target group. The theoretical chapters will define and explain notions regarding stroke, social rehabilitation and sports activities. In the empirical charter the data based on the method of semistructured interwiev and observation will be analysed and interpreted.
Commercionalization of Non Profit Organizations, Analysis of Commercial Activities of Czech Non Profit Organizations in the Field of Social Rehabilitation

Anglický This thesis deals with commercionalization and commercial activities of Czech Non-profit organizations providing social services in the field of social rehabilitation. In the first, theoretical, part the commercionalization issue is thoroughly explained, next a summary of researched legal persons and organizational theories used is presented. In the second, methodological part, research quantitative design and all necessary requisites are presented. Third, empirical, part deals with research evaluation. Research was done with usage of electronic questionnaire asking about forms of commercial activities, extent of commercionalization and factors leading to NGOs acceptance of commercial activities. It was found out that over one half of examined NGOs is commercially active, the most common form of commercial activities were selling goods and services. It was also found out that extent of commercionalization was low with a potential for future growth, the most frequent factor for commercial activities acceptance were placing NGO's client on the market and uncertainty of state, EU grants.
Ways to reduce recidivism in the Czech Republic: Recosialization of people in prison and after release

This work is about the problem of high recidivism rate in the Czech Republic, which highlights the inefficiency Czech prisons in their resocialization function, ie. the effort to reintegrate people into society after imprisonment, who are at risk of social exclusion and criminal recidivism,which is called tertiary crime prevention as a process. The phenomenon of recidivism is very complex - includes the issue of social exclusion, racial discrimination, addictology and the crisis of social mobility in society. It must be patiently addressed on many levels, using long-term strategies. The effective functioning of the penitentiary care focused on prevention in the objective of any society. Reducing recidivism means reduced costs from the state budget, ensuring the safety and protection of the entire society from criminal acts provides a suitable environment for the development of the whole society, and providing care for those who clashed with the law, it is important in terms of social justice. Social stigma of criminal history is often worse than the actual time behind bars.
Individual Planning and Social Rehabilitation with the Focus on People with Dual Diagnosis

This bachelor thesis deals with individual planning and social rehabilitation in the area of social services with the focus on people with dual diagnosis. General character of the issue of people with dual diagnosis, mental illness, addiction, their interactions and the prevalence of dual diagnoses are described in the first part, including examples of individuals who suffered from such diagnosis. Next chapter deals with the theme of social rehabilitation and explanation of the term integrated treatment of dual disorders. It also summarizes several interpretations of social rehabilitation and presents the recovery concept as the goal of social rehabilitation, followed by legal regulations of social rehabilitation and individual planning by the Social Services Act. The last part describes the case management of individual planning and the stage of motivational readiness of the clients as a treatment method. The thesis also mentions people's spiritual needs as the part of their social rehabilitation. The final part of the thesis is practical and contains three case studies. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to give basic orientation in the field of social rehabilitation and individual planning with the focus on people with dual diagnosis. Domov Pod Lipami clients adaptation to the supported accommodation Supported accommodation is residential social service for persons with limited self-sufficiency who need help with basic everyday activities. The aim of supported accommodation is to enable disabled persons to live as the majority of the population in as many ways as possible. The target group of the service are persons who would otherwise have to be placed in institutional care. The service is aimed at the social rehabilitation of an individual; it is based on the principles of fundamental human rights and freedoms and originates from the idea that disabilities should have the least possible impact on the full inclusion of an individual into the society. The dissertation describes the service of supported accommodation in practice of one of the social care institution and its aim is to find out if the clients regard the service as beneficial for them or not. The Interconnection of Components of the Coordinated Rehabilitation to Individuals after the Cerebrovascular Accident.

Cerebrovascular accident (CVA, stroke) is a disease that affects the central nervous system. Many people, even younger in age, have suffered the stroke, and especially in developed countries. For adults it falls into the most common causes of disability. Greater attention is now focused on medical rehabilitation, but all the elements of rehabilitation are important. The status after stroke results in physical, psychological and social consequences. Therefore, early and coordinated rehabilitation is important, since it increases the possibility of the person´s integration. The diploma thesis aims to describe particular components of coordinated rehabilitation granted to the patients after the CVA in the treatment and rehabilitation centre Chvaly. More specifically, the author tries to analyse the coherence of the individual components of coordinated rehabilitation. In the theoretical part, the author focuses at first on the definition of the CVA, follows up with a general treatise about the coordinated rehabilitation, and then she specifies coordinated rehabilitation for patients after the CVA, and briefly describes the facility under examination. To achieve the objective there has been used qualitative research, the method of questioning, the technique of a semistructured interview. The research sample includes people after the CVA, and the staff of the treatment and rehabilitation centre Chvaly, applying specific elements of rehabilitation. Research indicates that in the examined centre they use therapeutic and social elements, where the treatment dominates. The treatment center puts emphasis on self-sufficiency of a person after the CVA, working with the family and a multidisciplinary team, which is also perceived by the clients after the CVA. The results of the diploma thesis can serve as a feedback for the examined treatment centre, they can be used to improve the quality of coordinated rehabilitation. This work can be used as a source of information for people after the CVA and their families.
