Comparation of approach of Japan and the U.S. to regionalism

The aim of this barchelor thesis is to characterize the most important regional agreements of the U.S. and Japan and to compare the approach of these two states to regional integration.
Japan's approach to regionalism: Economic partnership agreements

This work contains general characteristics of bilateralism as a new element of regionalism. Because Japan is the typical representative of bilateralism, this work aims at the approach of this country to regionalism, bilateralism and at list of Japan's bilateral agreements. The work describes especially factors which influenced the Japan's approach to regionalism, the way how Japan applies bilateralism and the content of its bilateral agreements. In the last part is described the first japan's bilateral agreement: Japan-Singapore economic partnership agreement.
Japan and new regionalism

Japan is one of the most developed and strongest countries in the world. It is a member of many international organizations and it is becoming more and more active within regional integrations, too. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to follow the evolution of Japanese attitude towards regionalism, based on an analysis of its foreign policy and economic relations. The first chapter explains basic terms and theoretical background of regionalism and outlines the evolution of regionalism in Asia. The second chapter follows Japan in the stage of old regionalism, that is until the end of the 1980s. It concentrates on the post-war development of Japan and consolidation of mutual relations with its neighbours. The third chapter describes Japanese approach to regional integrations in the stage of new regionalism. It tries to explain the reasons for which Japan started to play a more active role in regional integrations and it outlines Japanese relations with several selected partners.
The influence of cultural differences on the business co-operation between the Czech Republic and Japan

This bachelor work analyses intercultural differences between the Czech Republic and Japan and their influence on the business co-operation. First place is Japan generally described -- especially from the economic point of view. The next chapter is devoted to the history of mutual business relations from the year 2000. Third chapter is devoted to the culture of Japan and its specifics. The culture is firstly defined for usage in this work and then follows the description of five dimensions of culture by Geert Hofstede. Following text is then devoted to the Japanese society, business culture and consumer behavior of Japanese. The last chapter is about business dealings in Japan.

The Efficiency of Fiscal Policy in connection with "Japan's Lost Decade"

This work has a target to review the efficiency of fiscal stimulus instruments in connection with "Japan's Lost Decade". The first half of this work follows selected theoretical areas. The author criticises usability of the AS-AD model and spending multiplier. Public finance deficits and government debt are attached to fiscal expansion and, therefore, this work will focus on this topic too. The role of fiscal stabilization policy will be studied in connection with causes and symptoms of trade cycle. The second half of this work scrutinizes the development and implications of implemented fiscal policies in Japan, especially the 1990s, well known as "Japan's Lost Decade". The consequences of fiscal stimulation will be judged.
High-speed rail transport in Japan

In bachelor work i tried to describe Shinkansen rail network in, which is located in Japan. I started with history of Japan and development of rail network, i described all major railways and trains used on Shinkansen. In the end i paid attention to possible future development, to prices and to safety of passangers.
Japanese cultural standards

The objective of this thesis is to identify Japanese cultural standards from the Czech perspective. These cultural standards enable us to disclose and understand the specific features of Japanese people, their norms and ways of thinking, feeling and acting. In today's context of globalization and the rising importance of international cooperation, the knowledge of Japanese cultural standards is essential for successful communication with Japanese partners. This thesis is divided into three parts. The first one is a theoretical introduction to the issue of culture in general, as well as culture describing methods - cultural dimensions and cultural standards. The second part of this thesis deals with Japanese culture, its characteristic features and specifics of Japanese mentality. The closing part, which is based on empirical research, puts objective on defining Japanese cultural standards from the Czech perspective, as well as identifying the main cultural differences between these two nations.
Japanese management style

In this bachelor's thesis I would like to introduce, as the title of the thesis, various principles and methods, that are used in the japanese management style, which was really respected in the '60 and '70 of the last century by the whole world. Through this thesis I would also talk about, what is the point of those successes of the japanese managers and what is unique in the japanese management style in compare with the "western" one. In the end of the thesis we will see, how a japanese company can survive in the "western", exactly in the Czech atmosphere.

Specifikuje postavení Japonska z hlediska vývozu a dovozu zboží a komerčních služeb, vývoje HDP. Obsahuje srovnání s dalšími hospodářskými centry a popis postavení v rámci Asie. Práce se také věnuje ekonomickým vztahům Japonska s Českou republikou.
