Study of sensoric properties of organic semiconductors
Saska, Pavel ; Šedina, Martin (referee) ; Salyk, Ota (advisor)
Compounds based on diketopyrrolopyrrole are organic pigments that behave as semi-conductors. Their analogues with pyridyl side group are due to their sensitivity to hydrogen potentially useful as hydrogen sensors. The aim of this work was to examine properties of sensors with an active layer of diketopyrollopyrolle derivatives. The sensors were tested on an apparatus built for this purpose at FCH VUT in Brno. More specifically, changes to conductivity of these sensors in the presence of hydrogen under various conditions were studied.
Hydrogen fuel for internal combustion engines
Polnický, Václav ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
Knowledge of all ower the world research, dealing with hydrogen combustion engines, were sumarized in this bachelor thesis. Ways of hydrogen production and its storing are mentioned too. This paper is focused especially to hydrogen-air mixture formation and its ignition solving. Some samples of hydrogen cars –booth of prototypes and serial products- were introduced too.
Alternative Fuel Engines
Bilík, Michal ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This thesis deals with an overview of alternative fuels for road vehicles and their effect on ecology. This work also describes the specific characteristics and peculiarities of power units which run on alternative fuels, their advantages, disadvantages and shows examples of some vehicles.
Fuel for internal combustion engines
Vrbický, Jiří ; Jedelský, Jan (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with basic features of fuels for internal consumption engines, especially their influence on thermal efficiency. It also introduces dividing of fuels and their compare in ecologic, economic and technologic side. It is concerned convectional fuels (gasoline, diesel oil) and alternative fuels (nature gas, bottled gas, hydrogen, biodiesel, biogas, methanol and ethanol).
Hydrogen Combustion in Reciprocatin Piston Engines
Forbelský, Antonín ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
In the thesis I focused on the summary of the facts available concerning hydrogen combustion engines. The work gives a brief history of hydrogen engines. The main part consists of a description of the specifics of the conversion of conventional internal combustion engine into hydrogen engine, and a brief overview of vehicles powered by hydrogen internal combustion engine. In conclusion, the work includes consideration of the future of this technology.
Alternative drive
Přikryl, Karel ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes types of alternative propulsion systems considering enviroment and reusable sources of energy. It also arguments its functionality and disadvantages. Specifically it talks about electric vehicles.
Fuel cells in personal transport
Říha, Stanislav ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Zháňal, Lubor (advisor)
This thesis is oriented to historical evolution of fuel cell, his total analysis, description of single disadvantage and advantage with which fuel cells battle. An other reason for urgency of using alternative fuel, brief description of car market and possible guess of fuel cell's future in personal transport are involved in an other part of this thesis. The end of the thesis deal with cars of fuel cells split in parts according to single car companies.
A fuel cell, as an alternative source of electricity
Peterka, Lubomír ; Chroboczek, Libor (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The work deals with fuel-cell their activities and the principle of division. It presented the possibility of using natural gas as a fuel for fuel cells. At the end of the work are written main advantages and disadvantages compared with other sources of electricity.
The possibilities of determining the geographic origin of plant and animal products by means of stable isotopes of oxygen, hydrogen and carbon. Isotope signature in keratin of tortoise´s shell
DRTINOVÁ, Martina
This biological study is focused on the possibility of using stable isotope analyses to determine the geographic origin of plants and mainly animals especially tortoises. In the experiment nineteen tortoises were divided into two groups which were fed by isotopically different food and water for one year. The samples of keratin from their shells were collected before and after the experiment. Then the samples were analysed for the ratio of particular isotopes using isotope ratio mass spectrometry.
