Hirmanová, Vlasta ; Opatrný, Aleš (advisor) ; Lachmanová, Kateřina (referee)
Human relation and belief in helping proffesion Even today, probably more than in previous times, "being human" primarily means to be responsible not only to himself but also to the outside world, to other people and especially the order of being that goes beyond us. Responsibility is together with understanding, rational self-sacrifice, empathy, prosocial behavior, etc.. also one of the basic presumptions for successful performance of helping profession. Helping workers are largely motivated for exercise of their profession by desire to help a fellow. Only later, discovering that the reality is somewhat more prosaic and, moreover, that their work is very demanding on the performance, emotional commitment and the energy expended, they cannot largely expect any return delivered. In addition to this all they meet series of prejudices, not only by laymen, but also by professionals. This work presents human relationships and Christian faith in a helping profession and their implementation in one of the largest shelters in Bohemia, in the Home of St. Francis in Pilsen. Key word: helping profession, sanctuary house, helping start, belief, human relation

Anotattion: Landscape in Roelant Savery's work and his significance for czech painting Roelant Savery is one of the most famous landscape painters, who came from Flanders where was experienced in Paul Bril's and above all in Brughels's work and his brother Jakob. Rudolf II. the Emperor was deeply interested in Savery's style of painting, for that reason he deceded to invite him to Prague, where he appeared in 1604 and lived there to draw and paint landscapes behind Prague usually, where found out wild nature, that influenced the theme of his works. He also attended to picturesque but veritable Prague rutes and houses. Thanks to him were made several drawings with waterfalls, rocks and virgin Alps. During early Baroque period landscape painting wasn't so usual, because requirements changed and landscape had to recede into the background. There prevail figural motive, both We can find in the work of Matyáš Mayer, Jan Jiří Hering, Jan Jiří Heinsch. Realism is also obvious for Karel Škréta. Pasquale Anfossi and Italian opera in Prague
Niubo, Marc ; Gabrielová, Jarmila (advisor) ; Jakubcová, Alena (referee) ; Sehnal, Jiří (referee)
lt was in the first half of 1780s that the theatre at Count Thun's palace hosted the Italian Opera, one of the leading musical institutions of 18th century Prague. And it was this period that saw operas by the ltalian composer Pasquale Anfossi (1727-1797) strongly represented in its repertory. While Anfossi enjoyed success and popularity during ms lifetime, the current awareness of his works is superficial and selective as the interest in ms music has so far been limited mostly to comparison with Mozart due his setting of La finta giardiniera (Rome 1774). The present thesis seeks to shed light on some problematic issues in Anfossi's biography and analyzes his opera lsabella e Rodrigo (Venice 1776, libretto by Giovanni Bertati) produced in Prague in 1783. lsabella e Rodrigo represents a rare variant of the opera buffa featuring an adventure plot with an active female protagonist. In order to avoid forced marriage, Isabella flees her father's house, and at a later point - in Turkish captivity - tries the faithfulness of her fiancé. Compared with other works by Anfossi and his contemporaries, lsabella e Rodrigo seems unexceptional. Although Anfossi displays his skill in characterization of characters as well as his dramatic experience, some of the highly inspired passages appear side by side with routine,...

Exteriéry a interiéry ve virtuálních městech
Kmoch, Petr ; Sloup, Jaroslav (referee) ; Žára, Jiří (advisor)
Virtual Old Prague is a web-based application for browsing Prague's centre modelled in VRML. This thesis extends the project with support for interior areas and impostors, simplifi ed pieces of geometry used in place of distant models. Interiors are based on existing VOP structure. Automatic generation of interior walls is added, as well as ceilings and lighting. Interiors can be added to the existing model without the need to remodel existing houses. Depth-augmented impostors are introduced into the system. Their geometry is a fully 3D shape based on actual geometry they replace. This allows for better displaying of depth discontinuities compared to a traditional at impostor. A single texture, a pre-rendered image of replaced geometry, is used for the impostor, thus keeping its size small. A Java program is provided for automatic generation of impostors from the model. Two regimes are introduced for using impostors during browsing, with di erent visual quality and performance requirements. Results of performance tests are presented, comparing use of impostors to the original system.
