Accuracy of the European GNSS for the Civil Aviation
Bittner, Jan ; Vosecký, Slavomír (referee) ; Ptáček, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a positioning accuracy of global positioning system GPS and satellite augmentation system EGNOS. My thesis describes the procedure for investigation of the errors in previously mentioned global navigation satellite systems according to L10 regulation and further on an elaboration is worked out in more detail far beyond the requirements of this regulation. In the practical part, an assessment of errors on a real data sample is done, the errors are measured with using a static observation, and later a discussion is carried out on the achieved results.

Ways of Improving GNSS Performance for RNP-RNAV Operations
Kvíčala, Aleš ; Kevický, Dušan (referee) ; Ptáček, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to analyze current requirements of navigation system RNP RNAV. Particularly is behaving about estimation current ways and description of future improving GNSS performance. In submitted thesis is describes present evolution of area navigation and required navigation performance RNP. The next part deals with the common access how to raise the performance parameters, their estimation and also description how it'll be solve in future systems.
GNSS-RTK Precise Positioning for Engineering Applications
Grečnár, Jiří ; Talácko,, Milan (referee) ; Bureš, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with precision analysis, process optimization and repeatibility of GNSS-RTK measurements for surveying aplication. Measuring procedure, that enables determination of a spatial position with a permissible deviation less than 10mm, was tested based on previous published findings. The test procedure was tested on two sets of test measurements obtained during 27 h and 26 h observations in connection with CZEPOS. The results were later analyzed. The first set of measurements was measured by the RTK3-GG method (9 m and 60 km vectors) and computed by a network solution VRS3-MAX-GG. Both were in ideal conditions – ideal, not obstructed observational horizon and good availability of differential corrections. The second set was measured by RTK3-GG method (22 km and 62 km vectors) and computed by network solution VRS3-MAX-GG. Both were in adverse conditions - obstructed observational horizon and adverse availability of differential corrections. Precision analysis and design of appropriate filtering method and optimal measurement procedure were done based on the results obtained from the test measurements. Optimal measurement procedure was then tested by measurements in a three point network.
Geometrical parameters of device for absolute GNSS antenna calibration
Brátová, Kateřina ; Machotka, Radovan (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Radim (advisor)
The aim of this work is description of a device developed at Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Institute of Geodesy for the purpose of absolute calibration of geodetic GNSS antennas. Thanks to calibration it is possible to remove systematic error of antenna's phase centre. The device consists of moveable arm and processing unit. The moveable arm is able to set up calibrated antenna to required azimuth and elevation angle. This work introduces the issue of absolute calibration, describes the moveable arm and the process of its assembling. Further, it defines geometrical parameters of moveable arm, describes their determination and their independent verification by geodetic method. Finally, the model of movement of antenna's reference point is described.
GPS measurements at the Tetčice polygon
Darmopilová, Jana ; Švábenský, Otakar (referee) ; Pospíšil, Lubomil (advisor)
This thesis deals with periodical measurements at the Tetčice polygon to confirm geological activity caused by geological shift that pass through the center of the village. This work was focused on the third phase of measurement by long static GNSS observation in summer 2013 to monitor horizontal shifts on both edges of Boskovice furrow. Points are stabilized on pillars with forced centring. Part of the thesis is summary of present results, the differences between the various stages and graphical representations of shifts. The theoretical part deals with the geological conditions in the area and description of GNSS technology.
The Evaluation of RTK method precision
Horák, Aleš ; Volařík, Tomáš (referee) ; Kuruc, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis was to evaluate a precision of spatial position of chosen services from Czepos and TopNET providers. The chosen services were virtual reference station generated by MAC concept from Czepos provider and virtual reference station NVR3 from TopNET provider. Testing measurement was measured by RTK method with GNSS instrument from Leica System 1200. There were measured long-standing observations which lasts 24 hours and short observations which lasts five and twenty seconds. The short observations were measured at five points in area of Brno. Result of the thesis is comparisons of precisions in position and height.
The Proposal of Development of Marketing's Activities of Firm
Kašpar, Karel ; Cochlar, Bohumír (referee) ; Koleňák, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with preparing of an advertising campaign for a new launched trademark into the market. Based on theoretical ground and current firm and competitors’ analysis, the marketing mix and communication mix were created to use it as a starting point for this advertising campaign suggestion.
Algorithms for calculating the position, velocity and time from GNSS signals
Kučera, Tomáš ; Kovář, Pavel (referee) ; Tejmlová, Lenka (advisor)
This master thesis describes the principles of the Global Navigation Satellite System GNSS, specifically the GPS, GLONASS and Galileo systems. The thesis analyzes the structure of individual GNSS subsystems and introduces their properties. The algorithm for calculating the position is designed in the interactive programming environment MATLAB for the processing of GPS and GLONASS sampled signals. The position is calculated by a distance measurement method which searches for the intersection of spherical surfaces. The calculation is designed for four satellites and when more satellites are detected, the calculation is repeated for all possible combinations. From this position the combination with the lowest DOP (Dilution of Precision) factor is determined, and the calculation of the position is repeated for the best constellation of satellites. In this thesis the user graphical interface for entering the input of data, input parameters and the display of calculated values are created. Finally the calculation of the measured data is displayed on the selected location online map portal
Global Positioning System Signal Emulator
Hofman, Jan ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
Thesis is adressed to the principals of a satellite navigation. It is focused on a determination of a longitude, latitude and altitude of a single point on the surface of the Earth. It contains analysis of navigation messages and a manner of processing of navigation signals in GPS receivers. Realization of an emulator of the navigation signal of GPS system in Matlab is also described. The purpose of this emulator is a generation of navigation messages, which could be transmitted by universal software radio. The last part of thesis contains the analysis of these signals, which were captured by second software radio.
