Problem of the crack terminating at the bimaterial interface
Svoboda, Miroslav ; Ševeček, Oldřich (referee) ; Profant, Tomáš (advisor)
The objective of this diploma thesis is the stress-strain analysis of the crack terminating at the orthotropic bi-material interface suggested as the plane problem of the linear fracture mechanics. The first part is engaged in basic relations of the linear fracture mechanics. The second part is focused on the singularity exponent evaluation for the crack impinging and generally inclined with respect to the bi-material interface. It follows the determination of the generalized stress intensity factors applying the analytical-numerical approach represented by the finite element analysis. The last part of this work is focused on the testing of algorithms applied to the specific crack and bi-material interface configurations. A conclusion discusses the influence of the bi-material mechanical properties and the angel of the crack inclination to the obtained numerical results.

Measurement parameters of communication via PCI Express
Dujiček, Ondřej ; Dvořák, Vojtěch (referee) ; Pristach, Marián (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with parameters affecting throughput of PCI Express bus and its main result is a design and implementation of a unit for measuring parameters of communication over PCI Express bus. The unit is implemented in VHDL language and its support on generating and measuring traffic at speeds up to 100 Gbps. Unit’s operation frequency, when implemented in Virtex 7 available at COMBO-100G , is 200 MHz. The implemented unit is controlled from software through MI32 interface and it is able to measure the amount of transferred packets and data in both receive and transmit directions. This information can be exported into software using MI32 interface.

Complex database solution design for Gemini ophtalmology clinic
Kadlec, Jakub ; Palovská, Helena (advisor) ; Sramka, Martin (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide a complex analysis and database solution design for Gemini ophtalmology clinic in Zlín, Czech Republic. The clinic handles a large amount of data on a daily basis being used by doctors, administrative workers, but as an essential background dataset by robotic surgical machines as well. Currently, the data is being transmitted via physical data files, which inevitably goes with a big probability of subjective errors and data redundancy. The analysis has been based on multiple interviews with Gemini's IT personnel and the models are result of throughout research of clinic's business and information processes. At the beginning of the thesis, there is a theoretical introduction to database analysis and design, followed by a complex database solution design, including features from object-relational database systems which can be helpful considering that the database will be connected to the robotic surgical machines. Their programmatic interface is written in C#, which is an object oriented language, and the thesis describes ways how object features in otherwise fully relational database can result in easier and more straightforward data manipulation. As a result, this bachelor thesis could serve as an inspiration in modernizing technology infrastructure design in a field which is very conservative and is adapting modern approach very slowly.

Dynamic linking, debugging and tracing in HelenOS
Svoboda, Jiří ; Bulej, Lubomír (referee) ; Děcký, Martin (advisor)
HelenOS is an operating system that originated as a software project at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. So far it lacks support for dynamically linked libraries as well as support for process tracing and debugging. Dynamically linked libraries enable developing individual parts of large software systems independently and linking them later together without recompilation. The linking is carried out at load-time or run-time by the dynamic linker. The linker must nd all libraries used by the program, map them into memory and relocate them. Then it must resolve external (symbolic) references between the program and libraries. A debugger and a system-call tracer are essential development tools. They use a special system interface for their operation enabling them to suspend an application when certain events occur (such as a breakpoint or a trap). Then they may examine or change the application's memory contents and resume its execution. The main goal of this thesis is to implement support for dynamically linked libraries in HelenOS, namely the dynamic linker, and also a system API for debugging and tracing processes, including a demo application.

The Continuity Indicators Calculation of E-ON ČR Distribution Network Segment
Girga, Eduard ; Černý, Pavel (referee) ; Paar, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is calculation and analysis of reliability indicators of the company E.ON Česká republika, s.r.o. distribution network in the south Moravia territory (area of former Jihomoravská energetika) for the period of one year, from 1st November 2008 to 31st October 2009. We consider events incurred on overhead or underground lines of level of high voltage or directly connected with these lines. Events originated from extensive disaster interruption of electric energy supply caused by particularly unfavourable external effects are not considered, because network components can not be efficiently dimensioned on those influences. Known aspects of the events are time of origin, time duration, place and cause of failure inception. Analysis of reliability indicators is accomplished according to different point of view. The first aspect is the hours of day, during which the event lasted. The second aspect is the hours of day, during which the event incurred. The third one focuses component pointed as reliable for the origin of the event. The last standpoint is percentage load of the line outlet, on which the event occurred. We can ordain this load as the proportion of current flowing through the line outlet in the time of event inception and of the value of maximum current set up on the protection of the line outlet. Indications mentioned in the last sentence were searched in the dispatcher centre thanks to graphical interface of application RIS JME Brno. In the theoretical part of the work there is described the structure of distribution network and its fundamental influence on the continuity of electric energy supply, the ways of evaluation and increasing of electric energy supply reliability, regulation of continuity of electric energy supply with emphasis on regulation in the Czech Republic valid until 26th February 2010 and since 27th February 2010. The last theoretical part focuses on definition of failure and differentiation of failures according to various aspects.

Comparison of PHP frameworks Phalcon, Nette and Zend
Rebenda, Jiří ; Vojíř, Stanislav (advisor) ; Zumr, Jiří (referee)
Wide usage of the PHP language across web developers and its good availability results in existence of many projects built on it. Unfortunately, due to the growth of PHP popularity more requirements are imposed on it. Not all of them tend to be related directly to the language itself but they can be affected by the external conditions (like e.g. Internet evolution, etc.). Special libraries (also known as frameworks) are response to existence of permanently repetitive tasks and growing complexity of problems being solved not only in the context of web development. There are three PHP framework representatives compared in this paper (Zend Framework 2.3, Nette 2.1.2 and Phalcon 1.3.1). In the first section, some fundamental terms are declared as well as some inherent limitations of the PHP language itself. Further, various comparison criterions are introduced together with additional research questions which are more or less answered in the main section. The second theoretical-practical section analyses the frameworks in the context of the defined problem domains. The main purpose of the application programming interface review together with included code snippets is to describe possible differences in approaches applied for some specific problems. Additionally, some options for measuring framework popularity mentioned in earlier section are used, too. In the end, frameworks are not evaluated either in positive or negative way. The final evaluation remains on the actual reader. The main focus is to provide basic insight into all three frameworks and possibly to (de)motivate to deeper exploration any of them. Also, as matter of secondary objectives some axiomatic assumptions are validated (like speed and popularity of the frameworks).

Mongolian Nomads: Prohibitions and Natural Cults. Tabu phenomena and Their Language Expressions
Muhič Vobořilová, Jana ; Vrhel, František (advisor) ; Komárek, Stanislav (referee) ; Uherek, Zdeněk (referee)
MONGOLIAN NOMADS: PROHIBITIONS AND NATURAL CULTS Taboo Phenomena and Their Language Expressions This dissertation has been created on the interface of the three disciplines: ethnology, linguistic and Mongolian studies. It studies tabooed areas of life of Mongolian shepherds, related mainly to worshiping of the natural cults and to some significant cognitive models applied across the culture. The core of this work is the analysis of data collected repeatedly during field researches based on recording the language expressions of speakers and on a participative observing of the author. Prohibitions (taboos) which play role in the everyday life of the shepherds in the Mongolian steppe emanate primarily from the relation of humans with the nature which surrounds them. The aim of the work is to shed light on the question how the systematic nature of prohibitions (ceeriin yos) is anchored in the conceptual framework. In this the context of the Mongolian shepherd culture as a whole has been emphasised. Cognitive-linguistic approach represents a significant component of methodology, a systematic analysis of expressions which are understood as metaphors. Descriptions of particular events, recorded in the field research diary, enable an understanding of some linkages of conceptual structures and also depicting of the...
