Analysis of the balance of payments of the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the balance of payments of the Czech Republic in the years 1993-2007. The first part offers a theoretical view of the balance of payments, the principles of its assembling, its structure and the most important balances of balance of payments. The second practical chapter focuses on the development of the individual accounts of the balance of payments in connection with the important events influencing the Czech economy. The third part treats of the external economic stability. It deals with the foreign debt, international investment position and balances of balance of payments.

The international financial markets crisis

This thesis is analyzing conditions which allowed the creation of the present financial crisis. In the first chapter I inscribe the view on the former types and models of crises. The second chapter deals with the progress of the crisis on mortgage market in the USA. Credit derivatives and structuralized commercial instruments are mentioned in the third chapter. In the fourth chapter I disassemble the transition of the mortgage crisis to the financial crisis. The fifth chapter is dedicated to the breakout into the global financial crisis which is followed by the description of the impacts in the sixth chapter. The last chapter is devoted to the future trend of the crisis and the estimated date of its end.

Air traffic and position of the company Travel Service in the air traffic market place

The work acquaints readers with the history of air transport from its beginning up to the present time including the future prospects of the issue of development of air transport and the future of air carriers. The theoretical part focuses on historical milestones and origins of aviation in the CR and the world, division of commercial air transport and further on the structure of air carriers. The reference to origins of low-cost air carriers and their position at aviation market today too is part of the work. For sake of completeness there are air alliances as well as types and models of aircrafts described in the work with a focus on two major producers Boeing and Airbus. The practical part focuses on description of the establishment of Travel Service, a second biggest air carrier in the CR, and the SmartWings, its low-cost branch. The capability of the company to stand up to a competitive strong aviation market in Europe and the major sources of a stable and persistent development of the company Travel Service is analyzed in the work.

Education in Austrian aristocratic families from the beginning of 19th century to the 1st half of 20th century

The thesis deals with the education in austrian aristocratic families in the 19th century and in the 1st half of 20th century. The education and upbringing of children had been influented by plenty of factors. The most important factors, which influenced education, were the environment (home or boarding school), specialization of education, the selection of schools and universities and the language of education, too. Parents, nannys and private teachers also had some influence on the upbringing of the children. In the 19th century we can find some common characteristic in some of the noble families (The Schwarzenbergs, the Sternbergs, the Mensdorffs and some others). The 1st half of the 20th century is an essential period for the history of aristocracy. Political changes reflected in its lifestyle and partially in the upbringing and education of the children of the aristocrats. These changes are illustrated on the education of children in the family of prince Johann Schönburg-Hartenstein. The influence of the quality of institutional environment on the economic performance

The diploma thesis focuses on a broad issue of the institutional quality and its impacts on a real economy. It summarizes important theoretical approaches involving not only institutions and their influence on a behavior of economic subjects (New Institutional Economics, New Comparative Economics), but also a behavior of politicians (Public Choice Theory) as they contribute to the formation of the institutional environment notably. The thesis pays to a historical outline, consequences and the evolution of institutional environment in the countries of Central Europe (The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary). The analytical part of the thesis focuses on the qualitative analysis of the most significant elements of the institutional environment in the countries mentioned above: the security of the private ownership and its observance, the law enforcement, the corruption rate, the quality of entrepreneurial environment, the effectiveness and the quality of a regulation and not least the governance effectiveness on government and private level.

Marketing and business ethics in branches protected by copyright

The thesis is focused on an analysis of marketing tools and business policies, applied on the field of commercial publishing. First part is dedicated to an analysis of the copyright law that affects the activity of this sort of companies. It includes an explanation of the most important parts of the copyright law that is valid in the Czech Republic. There is a display of important international standards, considering the issues of intellectual property. The second chapter relates to the theory of marketing and ethical issues of commercial and business activities. It includes a definition of basic terms, marketing tools, and a step-by-step clarification related to developing a marketing strategy. The end of this chapter summarizes the options of using marketing tools in publishing. Eventually, the thesis deals with pieces of knowledge, gained during its writing. Two different ways of creating a marketing strategy for the Knižní klub publishing company are considered in the end of the thesis. Both ways are described in detail, and compared to each other.

Diplomová práce se zabývá strategickou analýzou výkonnosti konkrétní firmy za pomoci metody Balanced Scorecard. Na základě externí a interní analýzy je sestavena SWOT matice, ze které je formulovaná vhodná strategie. Stručná finanční analýza hodnotí pomocí klasických ukazatelů finanční výkonnost firmy. Metodou Balanced Scorecard je dále naznačeno jak celkovou výkonnost firmy dále zvyšovat a jak zvolenou strategii začlenit do jejího každodenního fungování.

Computational Simulation of Mechanical Tests of Isolated Animal Cells

Buňka tvoří složitý biologický systém vystavený mnoha mimobuněčným mechanickým podnětům. Hlubší pochopení jejího mechanického chování je důležité pro charakterizaci její odezvy v podmínkách zdraví i nemoci. Výpočtové modelování může rozšířit pochopení mechaniky buňky, která může přispívat k vytvoření vztahů mezi strukturou a funkcí různých typů buněk v různých stavech. Za tímto účelem byly pomocí metody konečných prvků (MKP) vytvořeny dva bendotensegritní modely buňky v různých stavech: model vznášející se buňky pro analýzu její globální mechanické odezvy, jako je protažení nebo stlačení, a model buňky přilnuté k podložce, který vysvětluje odezvu buňky na lokální mechanické zatížení, jako třeba vtlačování hrotu při mikroskopii atomárních sil (AFM). Oba zachovávají základní principy tensegritních struktur jako je jejich předpětí a vzájemné ovlivnění mezi komponentami, ale prvky se mohou nezávisle pohybovat. Zahrnutí nedávno navržené bendotensegritní koncepce umožňuje těmto modelům brát v úvahu jak tahové, tak i ohybové namáhání mikrotubulů (MTs) a také zahrnout vlnitost intermediálních filament (IFs). Modely předpokládají, že jednotlivé složky cytoskeletu mohou měnit svůj tvar a uspořádání, aniž by při jejich odstranění došlo ke kolapsu celé buněčné struktury, a tak umožňují hodnotit mechanický příspěvek jednotlivých složek cytoskeletu k mechanice buňky. Model vznášející se buňky napodobuje realisticky odezvu síla-deformace během protahování a stlačování buňky a obě odezvy ilustrují nelineární nárůst tuhosti s růstem mechanického zatížení. Výsledky simulací ukazují, že aktinová filamenta i mikrotubuly hrají klíčovou úlohu při určování tahové odezvy buňky, zatímco k její tlakové odezvě přispívají podstatně jen aktinová filamenta. Model buňky přilnuté k podložce dává odezvu síla-hloubka vtlačení ve dvou různých místech odpovídající nelineární odezvě zjištěné experimentálně při AFM. Výsledky simulací ukazují, že pro chování buňky je rozhodující místo vtlačení a její tuhost určují aktinová povrchová vrstva, mikrotubuly a cytoplazma. Navržené modely umožňují cenný vhled do vzájemných souvislostí mechanických vlastností buněk, do mechanické úlohy komponent cytoskeletu jak individuálně, tak i ve vzájemné synergii a do deformace jádra buňky za různých podmínek mechanického zatížení. Tudíž tato práce přispívá k lepšímu pochopení mechaniky cytoskeletu zodpovědné za chování buňky, což naopak může napomáhat ve zkoumání různých patologických podmínek jako je rakovina a cévní choroby.

Development of the relations between Czecoslovakia and France during the

Období mezi dvěma světovými válkami, tedy mezi lety 1918 a 1940 přineslo Evropě řadu změn na poli mezinárodních vztahů i v oblasti kultury a běžného života. Pro tehdejší Československo a Francii toto období představuje vrchol jejich vzájemné spolupráce. Česká frankofile z té doby je také velmi dobře známá. Můžeme ji zde chápat jako obdiv, sympatii nebo dokonce až lásku projevovanou francouzské kultuře a jazyku. Smyslem této práce je popsat příčiny jejího vzniku v Čechách v 19. století a nastínit její vývoj až do období po druhé světové válce, popsat vzájemnou spolupráci mezi Českými zeměmi a Francií, tak jak se v historii vyvíjela. Jak uvádí titul, jádrem práce jsou ale především česko-francouzské vztahy v době mezi dvěma světovými válkami tedy přesněji od roku 1918, kdy vznikla samostatná československá republika až do Mnichovské krize v roce 1938. Pokoušíme se zde popsat změny, ke kterým ve vývoji frankofilie v Čechách došlo, zajímá nás, v čem se například lišili česko-francouzské vztahy v době před první světovou válkou od vztahů mezi Československem a Francií v meziválečném období. A ptáme se také, jaký byl nakonec přínos těchto vztahů pro Čechy, zda jejich snahy o navázání a udržení přátelství s Francií splnily svá očekávání. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
