Assessment of Qualitative Indicators Related to Hay, Haylage and Straw Harvesting
KOČÍ, Vojtěch
This Diploma Theses focuses on the assessment of two pick-up balers which compress crop into compact bales. The balers are made and delivered by different manufacturers with a variable bale chamber and cutting mode at the moment of haylage, hay and straw harvesting. Specifically, the given assessment compared John Deere 960 Baler and Kuhn VB 2160 Baler while considering the following parameters: quality of cutting, bale density, haylage, capacity and performance, economic analysis and recommendation for their use in agriculture. John Deere 960 Baler achieved better results in the majority of performed tests. The values of bale density were the following: 666.25 kg.m-3 (haylage), 221.39 kg.m-3 (hay), 176.62 kg.m-3 (straw). The assessment of haylage quality was excellent. The given baler (JD 960) also excelled at harvesting capacities: 20.89 t.h-1 (haylage), 15.61 t.h-1 (hay) and 12.54 t.h-1 (straw). Baling costs per 1 kilogram of forage revealed the following figures: 0.036 CZK (haylage), 0.079 CZK (hay) and 0.101 CZK (straw). Costs assessment for practical use of both balers per operating year indicates that the JD 960 Baler´s use is more cost effective by 1,320 CZK per 100 hectares (haylage), by 2,690 CZK (hay) and by 6,000 CZK (straw) in comparison with Kuhn VB 2160 Baler. As a consequence, the use and operation of John Deere 960 Baler can be recommended to large-sized companies with a sufficient amount of financial resources which can be invested in purchase of the given machinery. The baler is suitable for large areas with the demanding seasonal harvesting. On the other hand, Kuhn VB 2160 Baler did not show such an impressive result as JD 960 Baler. However, its use and operation is recommended to small or medium-sized agricultural companies which can appreciate the baler´s performance especially during hay and straw harvesting.
Image of Skeleton in the South Bohemian legends
VOSÁTKOVÁ, Andrea
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to capture the differences and to find the similarities in the legend of Skeleton of Chynov, which is compiled in many varieties. For the analysis I have chosen the oldest version of the legend, which was printed in the magazine Český lid by František Domorázek. Another adaptation was captured by Radovan Krátký. Finally, Hynek Klimek was also interested in this legend. I pay close attention to the analysis of the main motifs which are typical in individual adaptations. I also try to characterise the characters which appear in the legend, the motivation for their behaviour and moral lesson. Moreover, I explain the term of legend. The aim is to compare the three interpretations by means of motifs and to find similar legends of Southern Bohemia.
Modelling the time to failure and FTA
Boček, Pavel ; Salaba, Petr ; Volf, Petr ; Vrbenský, Karel
In he framework of the development the methodology for the reliability analysis and maintenance optimization the distribution of the time to failure has been modelled in different situations and results supported by simulation studies. Further, the Fault tree analysis (FTA) module accessible through the Web has been developed and tested.

The influence of the water quality on managed ichthyocenosis in the Berounka River, 1975-2003
Pivnička, K. ; Humpl, Martin
In 1962-2004 the stepwise increase of the concentration of NO3-, NH4+, Cl-, and SO42- was found up to the end of 1980´s with their subsequent decrease; only for BOD the gradual decrease in all sites and years was observed. These environmental factors (EF) together with the fishery statistics from two fishing wards (B7 and B8) in the Berounka River near Radnice were used in RDA models for the evaluation of the variability in fish assemblage structure in relation to the given EF. The best results in both wards were obtained using model with three EF (BOD, NO3-, SO42-), next models with four (five) factors explained more variability, some EF were, however, not significant. The partial effect of carp as EF on the yield of other species was non significant in B7 and closely above the significance (p=0.036) in B8. The changes in the frequency of fish species in fishery statistics are influenced by EF; the fishery statistics can be used for the evaluation of changes in fish assemblages in the past.
Sensorické vlastnosti rozpustných ftalocyaninů
Severová, K. ; Weiter, M. ; Nešpůrek, Stanislav
Soluble phthalocyanine is suitable material for the preparation of humidity sensors. Thin films can be prepared from solution by casting or spin coating. Optical spectrum shows two main maxima located at 350 nm and 680 nm. Two additional weak bands with maxima located at 610 and 640 nm result from V vibrations and dimer formation, respectively.
Towards developing teachersď ability for grasping situations
Koman, M. ; Tichá, Marie
The authors deal with cultivation of grasping of real situations by teachers as well as pupils. They outline the role of "grasping situations" for the development of cognitine abilities. Thy put stress on formulation ofquestions, creation of problems and interpretation of results.
