Report on the Environment of the Czech Republic 2015

The Report on the Environment of the Czech Republic (hereinafter the "Report") is drawn up every year on the basis of Act No. 123/1998 Coll., on the right to information on the environment, as amended, Government Resolution No. 446 of 17 August 1994 and Government Resolution No. 934 of 12 November 2014, and submitted for approval to the Government of the Czech Republic and subsequently submitted to the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic for discussion. It is a comprehensive evaluation document, which assesses the state of the environment in the Czech Republic, including the entire context, on the basis of the data available in the given year of assessment. Starting with the Report on the Environment of the Czech Republic for the year 2005, CENIA, Czech Environmental Information Agency, is responsible for drawing it up. The Report for the year 2015 was discussed and approved by the Government on November 28th, 2016 and then provided to the both chambers of the Parliament of the Czech Republic for discussion. The Report is also published in electronic form (http://www.cenia.cz and http://www.mzp.cz) and it is distributed at the same time on a USB flash drive for special target groups, along with the Statistical Environmental Yearbook of the Czech Republic 2015 and Reports on the Environment in the Regions of the Czech Republic 2015.

Valuation of CEZ

Thesis deals with valuation of the company ČEZ, Inc., who heads one of the largest energy concerns in Europe. CEZ Group is a vertically related, which means that in its activities operates at all levels of power. This work consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the basic theoretical knowledge of business valuation. The practical part is followed by application of that knowledge and values the company with two method of measurement - the discounted cash flow method and the market comparison method. Valuation itself is accompanied by strategic and financial analysis.

Design of a micro waterpower turbines for low head and low dicharge

This diploma thesis discusses the issue of finding type of water turbine for very low heads and low discharges, which could be operated as mobile micro hydropower plant in island mode. Thesis deals with summary of appropriate choices of water turbine for needs of micro hydropower plant. Essential part of diploma thesis deals with design of optimized waterwheel. Waterwheel was chosen because commercial high-speed turbines have low efficiency for low heads. Waterwheel was manufactured and measured in laboratories of Fluid engineering. Measurement output was discharge and efficiency characteristic of turbine. The price calculation was made after manufacture.

This thesis deals with power quality and load modeling. The issues of power quality, principles of load model creation and various types of loads and their principles are described and explained in this thesis. Various software and its main adventages in power systems modeling are described and various load models and simulations in PSCAD program are created and described at last.

Risk Engineering in Czech Power Engineering

The work focuses on risk management in the Czech power engineering, introduces its functioning and connections. It also explains some of the general principles of risk management, its importance in the energy sector and energy projects. Selected risk management methods are described, which is the basis for the recommendation of one of them for application in the field of power engineering. The selected method is further demonstrated in the example of power energy project and its enhancements are proposed.

Alternative energy sources

In this work, I tried to summarize the current state of world energy resources that we use to convert into electrical energy. There is solved the question of compensation running short supplies of fossil fuels and reduce discharge of greenhouse gasses. I´m looking for suitable compensation in department of alternative energy sources, among which I included the power of the Sun, water, wind, geothermal energy, using heat pumps, combustion energy, nuclear energy, fuel cells and hydrogen use. About anyone of replacing sources you learn about its history, advantages and disadvantages, the principle of function energy transform devices, and compare the potential that is available in the CR and in the world.

Situační zpráva k realizačnímu programu pro odpady z energetiky

Realizační program pro odpady z energetiky se dominantně zaměřuje na odpady ze spalování uhlí pro výrobu energií a z doprovodných procesů včetně tzv. VEP (vedlejší energetické produkty, neboť problematika běžného spektra odpadů v tomto odvětví nevybočuje z obvyklých poměrů ve většině průmyslových odvětví a nevyžaduje speciální řešení. Z porovnání využívání VEP v ČR a v Evropské unii vyplývají některé významné rozdíly a především možnosti kvantitativního růstu využívání VEP a také možnosti kvalitativního zlepšení – dosažení větší diversifikace použití nebo použití pro nové resp. speciální účely. Na základě analytických prací zahrnujících SWOT analýzu provedenou ve třech kolech ve spolupráci se členy pracovní skupiny byly formulovány návrhy jedenácti opatření, přiřazených k cílům Plánu odpadového hospodářství ČR. Opatření je navrženo realizovat pomocí mixu nástrojů – od administrativních a ekonomických po dobrovolné a ostatní. K přípravě a naplnění některých opatření byly navrženy pilotní projekty. Všech pět pilotních projektů je zaměřeno na prověření možností využití nebo zintenzivnění využívání vedlejších energetických produktů v oblastech, kde se prozatím v ČR neuplatňovaly nebo se uplatňovaly nedostatečně. Pilotní projekty mají charakter např. posouzení potřeb VEP a popelovin pro dané použití vč. vyhodnocení dostupnosti, studií právních a administrativních překážek s návrhy dalších postupů, analytických studií technických, technologických, organizačních, právních a ekonomických výhod, nevýhod a překážek s návazným návrhem modelového postupu pro uplatnění v praxi či studie návrhu úpravy norem EN 12620 a EN 450 a postupu pro jejich prosazení.
